She had fallen to the ground she was bleeding horribly even shuddered once against the pain that racked her body. Her purple eyes looked to the girl as the voice echoed around her.. She stood. Took two steps forward... she would hate herself if she did this.. what would be left of whatever soul she did have? She felt her knees want to give out. She watched the girl frozen.. frozen in the choice she was going to make.. the one she knew she would pick..

Matachi moved to Katherine wrapping his arms around her from behind his pour pouring into her, since the power of all of them stopped the sidiion now began to work in keeping them both alive. Matachi was hurt, but he was helping her too, the power he input began to slowly mend the wounds she had first clotting the blood to prevent more from happening.

The crystal floated in the air, and all was quiet. It gave off a faint glow.
The voice chuckled, changing in qaulity from bass to tenor for no discernable reason. "Do you know why I brought you here?" The voice asked, not really caring if they awnsered. "This is where it all started, for me. These powers, these faults. It's protected from the god's sight, except for the blind god, who cannot see." The voice continued with a high pitched cackle. The crystal hummed, silently. "There is a way to save the girl, you know."

"Yes. There is a way to save the girl." He mirrors, that shard of crimson glass spinning within the palm of his hand, its point facing upwards. His hand would then travel aside. Further and further his hand travels until it is behind him. He then swings that arm, releasing the shard of glass as though he were throwing a fastball. The glass shard flies like a bullet, giving off a high pitched whistling sound. Striking the glass orb, that magically charged bullet fired would slice the orb completely in half. That includes the girl as well if she is within its center. That was a chunk of sharpened blood diamond taken from the floating island, it is high condensed blood filled with an ancient bloodline that is known to have cast spells large enough to change the fabric of reality.

A different pull rocked her for a moment.. a memory from where she would never know sharp and painful.. It was something different from anything else she actually flinched not looking back up it wasn't just the girl, it was more than that it was any soul trapped, damned.. no escape.. that feeling rocked her in waves as she still clung to Matachi.. She knew more than most what was happening.

When it came down to it, what was Jack? When you search for power your entire life.. and then use that power to boost everyone else around you, then you continue to do so over and over again one can lose sight of exactly what is at the core. What is at Jack's core? What does he use for a weapon? What would he prefer? His bare hands? Oh yes, he does. But people tend to use weapons. Archery, musketry, blades both long and short. Of all the hidden, collected artifacts throughout the years that have dissolved into him, fed strength to him, he preferred his fists still. In fact, his hands would lift at his sides now, his fingers flexing momentarily as he steps aside, beginning to circle Insomnia. "I could not have made it here without your help, otherwise I would be watching from the outside." He tilts his head a bit, continuing after a moment. "But... Here I am... Ready to give you a good hurt." What was in those empty hands? What ability, that he has used in his completely violent everyday life, has made him absolutely fearless despite the obvious impending doom? Was it some kind of spell? An enchantment of some sort? No one has ever asked.

Matachi moved slightly pulling here with him so they were out of the way "Stay with me katherine." He said softly looking at Jack wondering what he was gonna do. He held Katherine close, his body was pretty weak but he was able to hold her up.

"I am okay." She said softly. "I was.. panicked. I am better now." She said reassuringly, more so than she thought.. "He is lieing.. almost, about he blade." She said in a whisper to Matachi. "Gods have no real form.. which means.." She was just figuring this out herself. She looked to Jack, He had stepped in from sparing her from killing the girl but why that blade unless.. Unless she had already knew.. knew so much all along. She looked to there enemy then trying to worm his way near her. "If he comes towards me don't try anything Matachi, he won't get to me." She promised.
