That was kinda 'eh' to me, I felt like anyone who read it and didn't know who the Spirits villains were was going to be sorta lost.

I have to say I have never heard of the Spirit before kapow, and still don't know who any of his villians are.

That's because up until last year the only way to read the Spirit's comic these days was to buy the expensive $50 hardcover editions being released.
Fortunately, in 06 DC released a "Best of the Spirit" TPB featuring comics that show why Will Eisner's Spirit is the Citizen Kane of comic books. There's a reason the Academy Awards of comics are called the Eisners.

I'm not buying a big expensive book if I can't look inside for a second first. sweatdrop
