I know how that is. A lot of people in my family down in Miami have died, but I didn't even know half of them, only my grandmother. There's tons of people I'm apparently related to and I've either never met them or I've maybe met them once, or they saw me when I was a baby. Everyone else seems to know who they are though.
I definitely know how that is.
My mom was telling me how my grandma (her mom)'s brother had open-heart surgery and I was like, "Wait a minute, Mima has a brother?"

LOL yeah. I can't keep straight who anyone is. I met my granddad's sister I think, when my grandma was in the hospital, and I've probably met her before, but I didn't remember her. But these people always remember me. XD It makes me feel bad and I told my mom not to tell her I didn't remember her name.
Growing up, whenever my brother or I would have a birthday party, my dad would invite distant cousins of ours. I'd be all, "Who's this person?!" and my dad would be like, "This is your cousin So-and-so!"
I know my immediate family, my three first cousins on my mom's side, and a few second, third, and fourth cousins on her side as well. I don't bother too much with my dad's side of the family.
