*her speech is mingled with a light french accent* no...not too long. i just came back here about a month ago from france. had to deal with some business back home...and then i got a few more phone calls from some ...more or less friends in the states...and so i retreated back to good old new york. though i haven't been here in a while. *takes a drag on cigarette and looks him in the eye.* if you want a fight i'm right here. but if you prefer the small talk i can deal with that as well. *smiles casually and leans back in chair.*

-a simple mortal walking the streets got close to vel, quickly three of his squad move forward and pin the man to the wall, searching him and uppon finding no weapons quickly drop him to the curb- Good thinking men, they could be sneaky enough to use familiars in there assault... -they quickly move onward, on route around the city-

And what makes you think I want to fight? Seeing that she is seeing through his BS he gets ready if she comes at him, though most vamps don't like to make public scenes.

what the hell do you think smart a**? *continues leaning back in chair. takes another drag on cigarette. looks into his eyes and says in his mind sit down, or i will make a nice bloody scene and wipe you all over the walls (not that she knew what he was thinking-she was merely speaking into his mind.)

Oh a mind reader, well then you know my true intent is find out what the hell has happened while I was gone. When I left you and your cousins seemed to be getting along. He stresses cousins meaning lycans, he doent want to alarm any normal people that are in there.

i must take my leave from this o so pleasant conversation. have a nice evening though. *her words dripped with sarcasm but she waved as she quickly got up from her seat and climbed atop a building and began jumping from building to building. she had a task, and that was hunting lycans tonight.....but the more she thought about it as she was jumping from rooftop to rooftop, she realized that the world would still be broken in the morning.
*she went to the hideout and fell asleep.*

He thinks to himself; I wish I could have gotten some info before she left.As he gets up and turns to leave he sees a group of men through the window wearing black coats comming down the side of the street. Great just what I need, to be in the middle of a robbery

-the 8 of them watch as the vampire exited the building and leaped away into he night, they took note of it and continued to look around the area, all of them stopping at a corner outside of a small shop-

He thinks to himself as he watches them, noticing that they see the vampire jumping awy and not really caring. Great more blood-suckers As he walks out of the shop he gives them the once over and contiues to his hummer. I don't know how strong I am now, but I know it would not be easy to take all of them.

-a few of his squad members watch Xei as he leaves the shop and when he gives them a quick glance they telepathically speak to one another and then to Vel, All of them slowly move after him, 8 men in dark dusters slowly following him as he makes his way "Keep distance, he is not a threat to us" he warns his squad-

-they all stop and fan out near Vel, keeping a distance but still at the ready- With all of the recent events not many wander the night anymore.. only those not afraid of this shadow shi roam freely, most mortals atleast, not slayers like yourself -Vels eyes flicker- are all in hideing, and the dogs are restless...
