If you're worried about it not getting enough views, go to the healthy dragons thread and add it to the numerous sites that give views to individual eggs and hatchlings. Keep an eye on it, so it doesn't get too many, though. It's the safest thing to do.

Any drug or chemical that has the potential for abuse is called a controlled substance. SB151 says that a script is void if more then one substance per blank, and number of substances prescribed not noted on 'script. The science of drugs and their interactions with the systems of living animals is called Pharmacology. A magic spell, redey, or poson made of herbal products is Pharmakon. The study and ID of natural sources of drugs is call pharmocognosy. Lister introduced the use of antiseptic agents in surgery (Listerine will help remind). Paracelcus advocated the use of individual drugs to determine the right drug and the right dose to treat disease. Erhlich introduced arphanamine to treat syphalis, and Flemming introduced penicillin drugs. Domagk = first anitbiotic (sulfa drug). The MOA, indication, dosage, side affects is found in the Drug Facts...book, and drug stability and compatibility of infusion solutions is found in the Handbook of Injectables (obvious). Schedules or catefories of controlled substances accroding to their probability of abuse were designated under the Controlled Substance Act. Drugs are labeled "Caution: Federal law prohibits the dispensing without a precrptions" under Durham-Humphry Act. Phenobarbital is a Class IV drug. CURES collects 'script info (patient, prescriber, pharmacy, drug, amount, strength) from pharmacies of all controlled substances. Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, PA's have prescribing privileges. If Fed and state laws conflict, the stricter of the 2 wins. Security features on controlled substances 'scripts include water marks, micro printing, latent or chemical void, thermo ink. Prostoaglandins increase the sensativity of nociceptors in pain perception. Acetaminophen are analgesic and antipyretic (fever). Antihistimine block histimines. Aspirin's MOA inhibits platelet aggregation. Tinnitus is an adverse effect of NSAIDS. Absorbtion of aspirin occurs primarily in the upper small intestine. NSAID labels should always include the auxilary label "take with food, may upset stomach." If you are sensitive to NSAIDS you will be/become sensitive to aspirin. They are related. Hyperucemia is the cause of gout. Phases of a migraine are prodrome, aura, headache, headache termination, paridrome. Beta blockers, calcium channel blockers and tricyclic antidepressants are migraine analgesics. The mission statement of the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board is to make pharmacy technicians a well defined positions in pharmacy. Risk factors in gout is beer, untreated hypertension, family history. Migraine triggers are many and varied, include light, food, smells, and stuff. Midrin is a migraine abortion medication. Antihistimines can cause headaches, dry mouth, dry nose and drowsiness. Astelin does NOT cause drowsiness. A TRUE allergic response is hives. H1 receptors are found in the smooth muscles. Antihistimines are contraindicated in all pregnant women, nursing mothers, newborns, patients with heart disease.. Antihistimines do NOT interact with aspirin. Uricosuric agents block the metabolic conversiton from purine in foods to uric acid. Atenolol is a migraine prophylaxis. Uricosuric agents should always have "drink plenty of fluid" auxillary label on the bottle. A migraine headache can include bulging veins, the feeling of hot or cold, and severe pain on one side of the head, around, or behind the eyes. Mission statement for the NPTA is to enhance, promote and enrich the careers of the Pharmacy Technician. Triptans and Ergots are for migraine abortion. CURES stands for Controlled substance Utilization Review and Evaluation System. CIII and higher, fax and phone in's are ok. CII, only in emergencies, and written MUST be presented within 72 hours. The Red Book is special cuz it has the NDC# included. The MSDS manual...section I is chem and company ID, II hazerdous information, VI health hazards, VII safe handling info. The process of pharmacokinetics is ADME...absorbtion, distribution, metabolitism, excretion. 2 classes of pain are acute and chronic. Natural pain killers the body makes are endorphins. Opiates include morphine. MOA of narcotic analgesics is they stimulate the optiate receptors (DUH). Most narcotic and non-narcotic analgesics are metabolized in the liver. Narcan is used for opiate toxification. Narcotic analgesics are contraindictated in heat injuries and those with hepatic or renal function, pregnant or nursing women.
