The tiny, oddly-pixelated avatar in the upper corner has been my least favourite.
Overall, I think the layout looks pretty nice, it's just going to take some getting used to. Most of it, I expect, will grow on me with time. Except for the shop-bar being on the right instead of the left. I like menu bars on the left; it always looks and feels wrong on the right.
I also wish the top menus had that automatic mouse over-drop down feature like they did in the previous layout. Although, there could be a way to do that I just haven't found yet. It made it easier to navigate directly to an item rather than in steps, but that's just a minor offense against laziness.

Peppermint Elf I get the feeling I'll be using the Gaiabar a whole lot more. I can't figure out how to get to my subscriptions. sweatdrop
But Subscriptions are on the main "My Gaia" page.
Edit: Oh, and they're still under the main Forum index, too.
Oooh, and I don't like the "Featured Journal"/"Featured Profile" thing. I just don't care to see some random person's journal entries, thanks.
