Jude's ears pinned against his head. Toren, it seemed, took to the city as soon as he arrived. "Ah, yes..."

He went to Sol, and offered a hand. "Hey, Sol-guy. I've been needing to thank you. You, uh. Make kind of a good heat absorber, you know?"

"And why do you say that, apart from him not liking... oi..." Chi had started to well around her, but it didn't last. She was still too spent to be trying anything of that sort.

"Ah, it's not a problem. I guess..." Sol said as he returned the offer and shook Jude's hand, noticing one thing when the chi tried to well up. It was a lot clearer, more... stable. "And I wouldn't be trying too much if I were you. You had it fairly rough at the island. Apparently, that meteorite that you absorbed proved to be more of an issue than first thought. Not to mention that hybrid..."

"Huh, hybrid? What do you mean? All I remember was something hitting me... then I'm here and I'm like... this."

"There was a Manaphy hybrid that showed up around that time. It used an attack called Heart Swap to take you over, boosted by the meteorite as well. It used your body to fight us from there, leading us to try and get the meteorite ripped out. It and the hybrid ended up coming out of their own accord before some... thing showed up, likely born from that same meteorite and most of your chi went in the process. GRAY's got the pieces, but between that and Sub expending so much chi throughout, we weren't sure if either of you would survive." Sol didn't bother pulling any punches with the explanation. He could've sugarcoated it all he wanted; it wouldn't change the events that took place.

What followed was an awkward silence. Not exactly the kind of news one cares to hear. Sol tried to break it after a moment, though. "On the bright side, Sub now has a reason to look into some dye for your fur."

"You're going to be alright now?" I asked Tails as I sat at the table. "I'm sorry to have worried you. Trust me, I try not to."

Dan suddenly awoke, unaware he fell asleep in the first place. He was still in Freya's room and had fallen asleep at the edge of her bed. "Ahh...morning" he yawned, regardless if it was morning or not. As he soon came to discover, Freya was no longer in bed and was speaking to himself since Shark had disappeared as well. "That's...odd" he commented on the fact that the dragon wasn't in his pokeball and after getting up and checking the bathroom, his girlfriend was missing too. Exiting the room, he darted down the steps to find the missing girl at a snack bar. "There you are! I'm glad you're alright..." he sighed in relief, taking a seat as well.

"So much going on. I wasn't until the others until closer towards the end. I ended up following Sub because I didn't think that he needed to be out on his own, which...well, ended up justified because there was a Banette hybrid that gave us both a run for our money. We beat him, but...well, we ended up finding out that the Banette hybrid was just nothing more than a kid on borrowed time by means of a meteorite fragment." I said.

"Well, we ended up having to rip the meteorite he possessed right off of him, per se, using the chi converter on the snag machines. The thing of it, when we finally got it off of him, it came to pass that thing was the only thing keeping him alive. The hybrid was just really a human kid turned into a hybrid. The kid had a severe head injury and wasn't expected to live long in the hospital until he got hold of that meteorite somehow and ended up on that crazed rampage he was on." I said to him.

Tails had another drink as he listened to Blizz, but suddenly this chocolate had turned bitter. He couldn't help wondering what it might have been like if, awhile back, he had found one of those shards. It wasn't at all a pretty picture, and by the way his ears and tails drooped it was plainly clear what was on his mind.

"Oh."

Freya eyed him but brushed it off. Well she supposed Dan had his reasons for not being entirely truthful. Though she did notice something that she had to bring up. "What ya looking for?"
