You had to take a plane? I guess you live a long way away from your hometown. I'm only 45 mins away from my hometown if I drove there.

Actually by car it takes four hours to get from where my University is, to my hometown. And I'm still in Texas in either place. Just shows you how much distance is between one side of Texas to the other.
