Right-o. It was a surprise more than anything.
I checked with an IV calculator. It's probably the highest total of any pokemon I have.
Lol, I don't know what good that'll do me since it's Cherrim, but at least it's male so maybe I could use it for breeding? Although, what I AM excited about is that I caught a 'superior' ditto with a perfect 31 in speed. It'll have to do for now.

but whats the final number?
either way if I am correcting, then its a great IV spread for the nature. especially for something caught in the wild.
as for cherrim, depends on whether or not cherrim can run an effective physical set or not.

That's right, and the 27-28 is because I ran out of patience to figure out the real speed. It's either 27 or 28, but that's not a real big difference.
Too bad grass pokemon aren't my thing. At least it's in the Fairy egg group too, so there's gotta be some use.
I think it's amazing that I caught it in the wild. It makes me want to run out and catch a dozen more pokemon to check. And is it just me or is catching pokemon in B/W super easy? I'm catching level 50-60s with fast balls and regular pokeballs.
Of course there's always one or two pokemon that prove me wrong and make me want to tear my hair out.

1) their individual catch value, for example, reshiriam has a catch value of 45, victini a catch value of 3, volcorono has a catch value of 30 and a woo bat has a catch value of 190
2) the pokeball use
3) their current HP vs your its max HP
4) their status.

Well then ... I suppose I'll just keep throwing fast balls and pokeballs. I need to grab a pokemon with a paralyze or sleep just to make it easier.
A level 50 Kakuna with only Harden amuses me in a bad way.
Didn't know that my own pokemon's current HP had anything to do with the equation. I better get more loose on throwing the potions around.

Well technically level does play a part in catching it cause of its Hp but ya and its the Hp of the poke your trying to catch not the poke you have on the field.

as for status aliments...
freeze and sleep over a x2 boost, where all other give a 1.5x boost.
pokeballs have a 1x catch rate. greatballs are 1.5x ultra balls are 2x dusk balls are 3x at night or in cave quick balls are x4 on the first turn x1 every turn after timer balls are x1 and go up by 1 every 10 turns, until maxing out at x4 after 40 turns. repeat balls are x3 as long as you've caught it net ball sare x2.5 for bugs and water pokes dive balls are x3 for surfing and fishing heal balls/luxary balls are x1
um... yah thasta ll I can think of off the top of my head sweatdrop
brb walking the dogs.

Hmm hmm, false swipe is my friend. (Unless they have a move with recoil damage or it's a ghost type.)
And sleep is ideal, gotcha. Maybe I can grab that Amoongus in my box for Spore.
I've always liked the Dusk balls. It's usually night time when I'm playing, but damn, 40 turns for the Timer balls sounds like my normal legendary fight in Platinum.

Kiyoshi21 Well technically level does play a part in catching it cause of its Hp but ya and its the Hp of the poke your trying to catch not the poke you have on the field. a pokemon at 1 HP will have the same odds of being caught whether its at lvl 1 or 100... its just that the farther in the game you get, the lower the catch rates of pokemon get (ussually)... it just a coincidence that they're a higher level.
for example, Ive caught lvl 90-100 magikarp in a great ball w/o damaging it at all, becaus ethey have a ridiculously high catch rate of 250 or 255 (something like that) granted its only a 50% success...
but a quick ball will catch a full HP magickarp, no matter what lvl, without fail :Xd

Kenesu12 kinda upset at the new black and white game i feel like i was forced to beat it and seem to short good story line but short and i tried useing the IV calculator and it said my pokeom's stats were wrong? because with an IV calc you need to know the EVs in the stats... since yo played through the whole game, your pokes probably have all their EVs.
obviously you were trying to calculate it without any of the EVs in the form, and it gave you an error because, with all the EV's, the stat is higher than possible assuming no EVs...
hope that makes sense to you xd
