well I am playing white xd

the monkey is under-rated, but one of the best pokes you can have fore a playthrough, they have great stats, and you get them early.

the gothita things isn't terrible, has a nice defenses, and special attack, and a decent move pool (well if you include TM moves)

the move pool is the only reason I'd suggest it over musharna who is otherwise far superior. but lacks a decent move pool... basically you have psychic, grass knot and a hidden power -_- at least the goth thing has thunderbolt (I think) and shadow ball.

as for the crab, he's pretty decent, bug stab comes in handy for taking out psychics, while rock stab comes in handy for taking out flyers. and after a shell break (not that I have it yet) he can sweep like you wouldn't beleive xd

Argh, I love shell smash. I couldn't believe it's an actual move. I got that one on my Carracoasta, another really slow poke, and it almost feels like cheating sweeping that way.

Ah, and I'm still stuck on the aesthetics on how each pokemon looks. The Gothita one ranks down there somewhere with my like of Jynx, although, I've already put it to good use with Frisk and Thief. Then I just knock out a Joltik, and put it in front for the compound eyes.

There's still a lot of pokemon I want to try out. I'll ... give the monkeys a chance too. I'm just torn between playing through again or not.

But I'll still prefer Galvantula over Crustle for taking out flyers and psychics, lol.

but crustle gets EQ xd between the 3 you have pretty much perfects coverage on all types.

if i were to use galvantula, I wouldn't use thunder though, I'd run electra ball + t-wave it actually ends up stronger than thunder, and has better acc (even if thunder is boosted, its still only 91% acc, EB is 100) or at the very worst is they are exceptionally fast, it will get bumped down to the same power as thunder. plus, they have a 33% chance of not acting at all.

Ah right ... the ever awesome Earthquake. Lol, that's just a good move on almost any physical attacker.

Yeah, I do need to give more thought into Carracosta, but I've really had fun with the turtle.

Hm, and I like Galvantula as a good way to one-shot whatever is weak against electric or bug, which is a lot really. It's a pretty frail pokemon so I would say using up two turns to set up with Thunder Wave isn't ideal.

I haven't really looked into what's being said online yet about moves and strategy. Like you're doing, I'm still taking my time to figure out as much as I can on my own.

Anyway, good night! I had better hit the hay too.
