Your feelings. I can see your hesitation. I can tell that you aren't sure what to do. How to feel. But the truth is... you DO know. It your misconceptions that are keeping you from acting on how you feel.

:::His request sounded simple enough. To just, look up...and...let happen what will happen... was it that easy? If it was, Cora couldn't tell. Suddenly there was a giant lump in her throat. And her stomach was clenching uncontrolably, she felt her heart pouding loudly in her ears and her head began to feel light from all the sensation. Somewhere in the midst of the distractions her body threw at her mind, it tilted its chin up, almost of its own volition...as though she didn't think to do it:::
:::Only when she saw Alex's eyes looking back at hers did she wake up for a moment...only to notice all her prior symptoms intensified. She couldn't think of a damned thing:::

:::Whatever she had managed to think a moment ago was gone again when Alex began speaking...so close that he could have, quite literally, put words in her mouth. But when he asked her what she wanted, the knot, and the lump, the clench, the pounding, and the light feeling that was happening right then... She didn't want them to stop.
She was afraid to finally say it, because she'd have to move her lips, and it might break the spell if she had to stray an inch from where she was, but she finally whispered as motionlessly as possible...:::

:::When he'd finally kissed her, she would have been surpirsed to notice that the clenching and the lump had subsided in an instant, and were relieved by a wash of warmth. The pouding however stayed, and so had the light headedness. But she wasn't paying attention to that. All she could feel was the moment, filling her up as though she were a glass, overflowing. A feeling she'd thought she'd forgotten, that she might never feel again...but that she had felt it before seemed irrelavent. It was happening now, and that was all that seemed to matter.
If there really was such a thing as 'now', but of course she didn't think that either. She DID, however, manage to place her arms comfortably around Alex's back:::
