She let out a deep breath, her worry dying down as the pain flared up again. "Keep an eye on him, please." She said to the seer, and crawled out of the truck, heading toward her room.

She batted away any of the medics who insisted she be treated for the burns. "Leave me alone." She grumbled under her breath, but paused as Jehric's video came on, watching it with grudging interest.

Ruby glared at him, wanted to yell at him, but grudgingly admited he was right. "I can heal 'em myself." She muttered under her breath, but they both knew that wasn't true, not until she had gotten the needed rest. She followed after him, attempting to hide the pain as she walked.

Ruby sighed, "I ran last time, an' they chased me. I've just always been the one to get hurt, even as a kid, whether it was my fault or someone elses. An' a body guard won't do much other than watch as I trip into a box of machetes, or accidentally shoot myself in the foot."

"An' the angel an' I aren't togethe..." She stopped talking as she remembered Merlin was often down the hall or so from the Angel's room. It was a useless statement. She took the pink orb into her palm and tossed it around like a ball. "Now what's this thing supposed to do?"

Ruby smiled, as she continued to play with the orb, not even noticing the healing effects of her own powers as they naturally took care of the burns. "An' I still think a body guard'd be relatively useless. Although Verve did offer to take the job, but knowin' him, that'd mean headin' off to an' all night rave while makin' sure I didn't pass out from drinkin' too much." She tossed the orb up one more time and caught it, then glanced down to see the burns gone. "Well that is a nice little toy there, ain't it."

Lined up in front of the base were 20 Siege T's, 10 Atlantean s**t-Ruiners, and about 50 armed guards. Standing at their head was Herbasis and the Seer.
Herbasis had his gun resting on his shoulder as he glanced back at the assembled troops, then turned foreword to look at Blitz, smiling.

/It seems,/ The Seer started, his arms crossed in front of his chest. /that I have received word from on high./
The Siege T's extended their arms, digging into the ground as the barrels reversed, aiming at the assembled party, or, more specifically, Blitz. The s**t-Ruiners' shields lit up, and they began to hover.
/This word gave us explicit orders, and has, for quite some time, on the matter of your enrollment here./

Herbasis cast a glance over at the Seer, raising an eyebrow.

/You're right. On the matter of your presence in Krohv at all./

"What the awkward cyclops is trying to say, is that you, Blitz, have 30 seconds to leave Krohv." Herbasis pressed a button on the device on his wrist, a hologram of a digital clock appearing, starting at 30.

"Ah thihnk you can figure out the consequences if you don't, kid!" Tubby yelled out from his tank, resting his upper torso out.

/Your time starts now./

"Yer sittin' at 27 seconds now, kid." Tubby called out. The armed troops hefted their rifles.

"Yeh hear that? He was close to me name." Tubby chuckled.

/Normally a sound proposition, but you see, this route involves a great amount more allowance for good faith than the alternative. Consider us the cryptic passage over the scary door./

"If we let you past, then you'd just be stuck, with similar forces marshaled, and significantly less options available.

/You can speed away from this, but it does you no good when your mutations have ceased./

"Yeh got 20 seconds kid."

/You're doing nothing but run down the time, though he does only need one second./ The Seer spoke to them all, motioning to Herbasis' clock, which was now at 15 seconds.

"Girl, yeh still got a nice a**, that statement remains, so it'd be terrible fer you to be in the way."
