Jodan laughs thinking that her friend did not comprehend most of what she said. She then realizes where he is trying to go and tries to help him to get their. She hoped that where ever this was that it was not a dangerous place. Though the smell of plums is making her hungrier. Jodan tries harder to open a garganta for herself and for Ryu. The plums she could smell was starting to drive her hunger threw the roof. Especially since she had eaten very little today and for the last few days. Almost all the food she had gotten had gone to feed Ryu. "Almost Ryu then we can both have plums." She says excitedly. "Ready for some plums Ryu?" She asks feeling that she almost has it. Jodan feels like slashing something out of frustration because of how long this is taking. "Hyruu! I got it!" She says then looks at Ryu smiling it was now his turn to do it and then plum city.

The Masked General Jayde Stone, Rose Empress of the Army of Masks stepped into Hueco Mundo with two spirits faintly pulsing on the edge of reality and a small young girl behind her. Jayde had her mask on as she typically did since becoming a Masked General, the girl had a strange hollow skull on the top of her own head and she walked with an eager gait, walking behind Jayde and skipping from one side to the other. Together they made a strange pair. It wasn't a mother and daughter semblance exactly but there was some sort of clear form of respect between them. A great deal of it was the fact that while one was a hollow the other had mastered an inner demon and lived with that beast in check at all times; another part of it was probably the fact that the young looking girl hadn't actually met another soul since birth into her current body. Jayde reached into her pocket and pulled out the two stones, they looked extremely simple to her—she was always amazed that they held the potential to unlock so much power within a person. It was what had allowed her to open herself and fight the hollow inside her all those months ago and now it would do the same for the two young spirits before her. With a grin she cast the stones into the shimmering forms in front of her; they writhed for a moment and then a bone white shell surrounded them. It was something unique and Jayde extended an arm to stop the young hollow, Eve, from getting closer. In moments there were two very eggs in front of them, each about the three feet fall and probably two or three across. Jayde thought for a second and then opened a Garganta and disappeared. She reappeared only a moment later with a stolen camcorder. She set it to record; she knew Aiden would want to see this for research later.

He opened his eyes slowly, the blackness he saw before him now wasn't much better than the back of his eyelids. It was a soft, velvety darkness though—not truly uncomfortable. As his senses began to sort them out he realized that it was actually much softer than it should be, which was because he had a long sheet of cloth draped over his body. He slung it off and found himself in a large moderately lit hallway with cloth covered pillars spaced a couple dozen feet from one another. The cloth had the appearance of being very heavy and substantial but they moved lightly in the slight breeze that swept through the room. He started to walk down the long hallway and noticed that at the far end of the room there was a silver throne draped in black silk. Sitting lightly on the throne was a man in a black suit wearing an ornate bone white crown; this was—as far as he could tell—the only white in the room. The figure stared at him with the eyes of a beast, the kind which seem to convey the message that their owner would be quite willing to murder you viciously out of boredom. Suddenly, although he wasn't aware of his own name he knew this man's name…

"Walter, you are my inner darkness. You sit on the dark throne of my soul and if I am ever to grow, to overcome and conquer my demons I must defeat you," he said this with conviction although he had no idea where that feeling was coming from. Something deep within him just seemed to ring out in each word, an undeniable truth he was unable to avoid. He knew that he belonged in this place and that he was getting a chance which few had ever been given; a chance to right his wrongs and purify himself. He reached down to his side and drew a simple sword from its sheath. The sword had a long line of red silk flowing off the back of the handle. He didn't seem to remember every holding a sword before but for some reason he was able to slip easily into a position with his blade before him, slightly pointed in the direction of the man from the throne, Walter.

"And you must be Hikaru; I must say it is certainly be interesting to be inside my own head—or rather your head I suppose. Really when it comes down to it there will only be one of this in this body after a few short moments. I must admit, for a conscience, or whatever you are, you were somewhat handy to have around. But too many voices talking in one head would be considered crazy to some people and it is about time to put an end to this before things get out of hand altogether," with this Walter drew out a long line of fine wire strung between his fingers. He twisted it around his fingers until he was sure that he had a firm grip on the wire then pulled—testing its tension and strength. With a grin he rushed at Hikaru.

Hikaru jumped back instinctively. The wire slide past him and as it passed through the end of the red silk of cloth trailing at the end of Hikaru's sword it sliced a piece of the cloth off. Whatever that wire was made of it was extremely sharp, sharper than a normal blade for certain. Even as Hikaru moved back his hand twisted and his arm extended outwards in a sweeping motion, tracing a thin line of red across Walter's cheek before the dark suited man could react. Walter sprang backwards from the blow and raised his finger tips to his cheek where they came away crimson. He smiled slightly and tightened his hold on the wires he used as a weapon. Hikaru and Walter circled each other slightly, trying to pick out what the other was going to do before they did it. The problem with this was since they were basically of one mind it was very hard to anticipate the other's reaction without having that interpreted; if you weren't careful you found yourself in a very annoying paradox.

Suddenly each of them advanced at the same time, closing the small distance in an extremely short amount of time. Hikaru slashed out and found his blade caught on the line of wire with Walter a few inches from his face grinning. After some fancy hand motions Walter had his wire wrapped around the blade of the sword. Hikaru managed to twist the handle and cause the cloth on the handle of the blade to fly off and obscure Walter's view. Hikaru then drove a hard fist into the man's stomach. Not the most dignified way to fight technically but it got the job done, Walter released his grip long enough to free his sword and deliver a slice into Walter's leg. But he didn't escape unscathed this time, before he could put distance between them Walter whipped out a line of wire that cut into his left arm; if it had been his right he probably would have dropped the sword.

Walter shuffled away, because its hard to do much more than shuffling when you have a large gash cut into your leg. Hikaru tried to focus on Walter rather than the pain traveling up and down his left arm. He wasn't going to last much longer like this. He knew that with his mind in this much conflict his body was also probably writhing with it; since he seemed to know instinctively that although he currently had a form he wasn't really in his body. He summoned up what he could of his strength and dashed at Walter.

The sword impacted against the wire and they slide against each other, Hikaru honestly expected the wire to be cut but it held. Every jab would be diverted by a twist of the wire and Hikaru started to find it strangely difficult to guard against a wire whisking at him at high speeds. He ended up getting a few significant lines cut into his arms and chest but most of his wounds were superficial; unfortunately the same could be said of Walter.

Finally Walter faltered in his foot placement, it was from the fist real wound that Hikaru had inflicted on him; the slice into his leg. The second the man's guard was down Hikaru struck out with his blade and drove it into the man's chest. And just as he did this he screamed out in pain as white hot fire seemed to surge through his veins. Hikaru curled up in on himself in pain as the world faded into an intense darkness. His emotions were out of control and a dozen instincts flared through his head all at once.

Then his eyes shot open, he was inside something and he struck out against the walls around him. They cracked and shattered, breaking the egg that had been holding him. He immerged from this shell a hollow, his emotions and rage controlling him more than his mind. He fought to gain control as he saw Jayde and Eve staring at him. Eve stood behind Jayde’s back, shielded while Jayde extended her hand and gripped Hikaru’s face, her hands applying a great deal of pressure to the mask. He spiritual energy was practically pouring off of her and she smiled slowly, “I recommend gaining control over yourself very quickly young one… I cant go betraying Aiden’s trust by letting a mindless hollow lose into the world after promising that I’d turn you into a Vizard. Gain control of yourself, fight for control… join me under your own power.”

Hikaru writhed in her grip and fought to master his mind over his raw emotions. Slowly but surely he started to see reason and he ceased his movement, the bone white armor on his body began to crack and shatter, the shadows dripping away like oil, pooling around his feet. Soon all that was left was Hikaru’s mask. Jayde lowered him to the ground and let him kneel before her. He spoke slowly, every experience his first in this body, “I am Hikaru Hitachiin… I swear my allegiance to you… Jayde Stone the Rose Empress.”

Jayde drew her Zanpakutou and placed it on his left shoulder then his right and allowed him to rise, “Rise, Lieutenant Hikaru Hitachiin of the Army of Masks. I would suggest you dismiss your mask and not summon it again for several days while your body and mind heal from the damage you have no doubt caused fighting inside of it. In the meantime you can observe this other birth with me while Eve goes to get you some clothing.”

Hikaru became aware that his mask and a Zanpakutou—exactly like the one he’d had in his mind—were literally all he had on him. This didn’t really bother him but for decencies sake he stripped off his mask and shifted to shield himself from Eve’s view, the girl was so young looking it didn’t seem proper for her to see him. Not that she seemed to care; she simply smiled and skipped off.

A few moments ago another being had awoken in an unfamiliar place. This one was extremely different than the showy royal hall that Hikaru had come into being inside of. No this was a simple decently lit room with a table in the center. An empty chair sat just in front of him and across the table a figure said with their face in shadows, shuffling cards with a fair bit of talent and flair. Across the table there were scattered bottles and cigarette butts. The figure paused long enough to indicate the chair, hinting for him to sit down in it. So he nodded and pulled it back from the table before sliding down into it.

“Kaoru Hitachiin, I was really afraid that I would end up meeting you one of these days. My conscience has always been a little more on the surface than the rest of my family I suppose, I guess it is just because I am younger and haven’t been a part of the family business nearly as long. Grandfather and Grandmother always did say that I would grow out of it, just a phase and all that. But it seems that here I am face to face with you at last. Still if Grandfather is going through something like this I guess even he didn’t completely kill his conscience. Maybe I’m just looking at it all wrong…” said the man across the table; he seemed to be chatting openly and in a generally friendly fashion. He seemed to be rambling slightly though so Kaoru took this chance to interject himself into the conversation.

“You’re… me aren’t you? I mean I am me obviously but you are a part of me. Edward Duval, the old me, the me who use to be on the surface,” a smile crept across his face as he spoke, “But you couldn’t keep me down forever We both could have seen that. Well now it is my turn to truly strike back at you for keeping me locked within this annoying conflicted mind and body; a chance to break free and make some much needed change.”

The man sitting across the table leaned forward into the light and lay the cards out face up in front of him as he did so. The man looked like Kaoru use to, like Edward still does technically. He wasn’t smiling, he wasn’t frowning, his face was more complacent. At the same time both boys struck at each other and both dodged the attacks directed at them. For some reason Kaoru reached out and took hold of a bottle and the second he touched it the bottle changed. He wrapped his hand around the neck as it became a handle and the bottle solidified into a sword’s blade. The blade was short, only about four feet long and it was extremely heavy. The man had produced a tanto from somewhere about his person and was now circling around Kaoru.

The two closed the distance slowly and their blades met in a clash. But the glass blade didn’t shatter or even crack; it held back the metal blade of the tanto and simply shimmered in the light above the card table. The clear blade was clearly as dense if not more dense than any metal. Kaoru grinned and pushed back Edward—easy given his surprise. Watching Edward carefully Kaoru raised his blade then sent it slamming into the ground yelling, “Shatter!”

Minute shards of glass filled the air, shimmering as the light reflected off of the moving pieces. Still holding the hilt of the sword the blade was not more of a jagged dagger. Kaoru smiled and swung it at the figure that was Edward, even though he was at least twenty feet away, “It is time that I took over from here.”

The glass shards moved as if they had a life of their own, but really they were all under control of Kaoru’s will. They drifted over his skin and he didn’t feel them but when the fast moving cloud flowed up and over Edward the man screamed in pain as they tore into his skin. Edward tried waving his sword but a sword is a poor defense against a cloud of razor sharp particles. Kaoru turned around and spared himself the sight of the being dying slowly within him. This was him conquering his inner self, him finally asserting control. It was almost maddening, to have this much power. In fact he found himself fighting to gain control. He began to scream, trying to force himself to stay in control; then the world became a much brighter place.

A half hollow, half shinigami creature burst forth from the egg that had contained the soul which was now Kaoru, or the beast Kaoru had brought forth if he couldn’t control this new power. He grabbed his head and fell to his knees. The situation was very different and Jayde stood close by, hand on her sword in case she needed to engage this creature directly but for now it looked as though he was still fighting for control. Kaoru’s spirit began slamming his head down into the sand, hard, the mask and armor was starting to break and crack in places. Finally he screamed once, and slammed his head down with enough force to break off everything but the main mask… then even that faded away and Kaoru was left panting for breath on the sand. After a moment a young man who looked, he realized, exactly like him, walked up and offered him some clothing.

“Thank you… who are you people?” he said looking past his twin, and there was no doubt in his mind that this man was his twin, a soul of so many similarities as to be bound to him even after rebirth. But just behind his twin stood a young girl smiling and talking to an older woman, although not much older than Kaoru or Hikaru. The older woman had on a mask and yet at the same time Kaoru had the distinct impression that she had a very serious expression on underneath the mask.

“I am The Masked General, Rose Empress Jayde Stone. This is Eve an assistant of mine and Hikaru Hitachiin, my first and hopefully not my last Lieutenant. I have been tasked with looking after the two of you. It was the deal of your resurrection and redemption. Now you don’t have to follow me but I wouldn’t recommend the alternative,” Jayde said in a voice which although steady and calm suggested that it would only get more and more polite while the speaker happened to be getting more and more violent. Jayde was one of those people who seemed to operate in reverse, she started out loud and crude, then as she got more and more angry she would get calmer and more refined until she was honed to a pinpointed intensity.

“If I were you I would go ahead and do it. She wasn’t nearly this polite with me and for some reason that’s a little frightening,” said Hikaru with a wide grin as Kaoru tugged on the pants and shirt which had been brought to him. Hikaru looked the same as him and Kaoru had the feeling that his twin had just undergone something similar to what Kaoru went through yet he seemed to have easily assimilated into the assembled group. Kaoru just nodded slowly after a moment; something about these people felt right to him.

Jayde smiled and performed the same small ceremony on Kaoru, naming him her Lieutenant. She finally had a few Vizards under her command, with them at least she might be able to start making some changes and raising the Army of Masks into something to be reckoned with.

Ryu is about to start trying to tear a garganta hole once more when the scent of plums becomes overpowering. He makes a contented sound and starts padding over to where it is coming from. When he rounds a rock formation he comes upon Ume, who is sulking because she is apart from Shin. He paws at her leg, trying to figure this strange new hollow out. She doesn't seem to be dangerous he decides, though his thought processes seem to be lacking that much coherence. Curiosity gets the better of him and he bites her, much to her irritation. Rather than attack, she narrows her eyes and exerts her spiritual powers through her scent and says, "Do not bite me. You will behave yourself." The blond arrancar is doing this without realizing what she is doing at first. Ryu gets a dreamy look on his face and he stops gnawing on her leg and sits down obediantly. "Good boy." She pets him and plucks him up. "You're just a baby aren't you?" She holds him close for a moment, mostly because she misses Shin, but also because she has a strong attachment to him all of a sudden without knowing why. "Hyuuuu?" Ryu asks her. "Oh, me? My name is Ume. And you?" 'Rawr ra ra hyuu rawr." "Oh, you don't know your real name? But you go by Kyouryuu or just plain Ryu? Aww, that's such a cute name!" She hugs him and is delighted. "You'll follow me around and keep me company, won't you?" Ryu is still under her hypnotic scent's control quickly agrees to her request.

Jodan watches Ryu curiously as he walks off and does not attempt to make the garganta. "Hyuu?" She says imitating her little friend. After a minute she follows Ryu and watches him talk with Ume. She then gets annoyed when she realizes that Ume his controlling her little friend and picks up a rock that she throws at the woman. "Rawr!" She yells grabbing another rock "Leave him alone you old hag!" Her stomach growls loudly as the sent of plums reaches her. She throws the second rock careful not to hit Ryu. "Grrrr."

Ume deflects the rocks by just using gravity defiance and exudes her sweet scent as she stands up. "Don't you dare," she hisses. In a commanding tone she says, "Behave and make yourself of use." She doesn't know what is coming over her, but her self suppressed nature as a hollow was beginning to rear its ugly head. She sets Ryu down at her feet and clenches a fist at Jodan just in case her spiritual powers were strong enough to resist her hypnotic scent. Her actions are deeply instinctive, but she is starting to realize what her powers are. "Ryu, is this a friend of yours?"

"Rawr ra ra rawr hyuuuu." Ryu baby talks as he nods proudly. He then scuttles over to Jodan and hugs her leg. "Rawraraawr."

Ume smiles at him and then nods. "So, you were just protecting him then. I see. So, low level hollows can have an alliance of sorts. Follow me and I will protect you, go against me and I will fight you." She is uncertain as to why she wants followers, but a small part of her missed being a part of a group.

Jodan winces when Ume snaps and exerts her strength over Jodan.Who tries to fight back but can not. She sighs and gives up fighting. When the power is lifted off of her she bends down and hugs Ryu. Then looks at Ume. "Why?" She asks confused. She picks Ryu up and walks towards Ume and stands in front of her. "Ryu I thought you were looking for food not her." She sighs then gently scratches Ryu in his favorite spot.

Ume smiles, "Well, put simply ... I am lonely without my Shin and you two look like you are wandering around purposeless. What do you say? Join me?" She seems friendly enough and in truth, Ume is. She just did not take too kindly to having been attacked with rocks. "Obviously you," she says to Jodan, "Are on the intelligient end of the spectrum for hollows. Little Ryu ... he's so cute. I can't help but want to tote him around."

Ryu begins to snuggle against Jodan. He looks at Ume curiously and then pops his mouth open wide. "RAWR!" To which he is met with a large apple being shoved into his mouth. He takes it out and starts to munch on it, glad to have something to eat. "Hyuu?"
PostPosted: Fri Sep 26, 2008 3:49 pm

Jodan looks at Ume smiling slightly. "We had a purpose. Find food was our purpose." She says with an impish glint in her eyes as Ryu eats the apple. She relaxes as she holds him. "If that's what Ryu wants and he is cute... If I say 'rawr can I have an apple as well?" She asks deciding to join up with Ume. She knew thatr she would be a fool not to. "Is the apple good Ryu?" She asks her little pal.

Ume smiles and reaches into her bag and pulls one out. "I suppose I could spare one. Here." She then starts heading off to some rock formations. "I am going to my den, you may follow if you like. It should be safe from stronger hollows for the most part." She stops for a moment and stretches, yawning. She had gotten no sleep the night before and she just couldn't help but to yawn. She plucks an apple from her bag, having had stuffed it with all kinds of fruit before coming home to hueco mundo.

Jodan thanks Ume for the apple and follows her to her ben happily eating the apple as she walks. The young hollow was happy to be with someone who would protect her and feed her and Ryu.

Epi stood on a large dune watching the trio from a distance. His right hand, as always, resting on his shoulder as if broken, a simple habit he held from his hollow form. "An Arrancar and two low powered Hollows." He mumbled to himself as he was lightly pushed by the wind. "...probably following the stronger one because of her reiatsu level." He squinted his eyes, ignoring the blindness that the sun was giving him. It was wise to build alliances quickly, but in this case...it might play alittle more difficult than with Haseo. It was different now, with the first one he'd just knock him around abit to test him..but now. "What to do..." He whispered, his attention on whatever red item she was pulling from a bag. Ugh... Epi stood with a blank expression as he continued to watch from a distance. Aha~ You're a sheepish one aren't you my child? Zoe's voice laughed in his head, the weapon tied to his back having such a connection with him to be seen as a Zanpakutou. "....." Epi didn't reply however, instead he began to follow after the three. It didn't take long at all for the apparently young man to catch up and pawn off a rather salesman-ish line whilst keeping his eyes focused on the one exuding a peculiar smell. "E-excuse me Miss, would ya mind if I take a moment of your time?" He even threw in a cheesy forced smile as well, since...in a sense..he was trying to sell something.

Ume takes a loud crunchy bite out of her apple when somebody addresses her from behind. She casually looks over her shoulder and nods in agreement to speaking with him. The pretty young arrancar turns the rest of the way around and smiles after swallowing her bite of apple. "I have a free moment or three, what do you have on your mind?" she asks as she takes another bite of apple, savoring it, since she had eaten a great number of fruits on earth. Even though she is a hollow, she has so far refused to eat souls and has taking on something of a vegan life style, for now. She sees a lizard skitter by and she feels a strong impulse to eat it. Knowing that it is not intelligent, she skewers it with her false zanpakutou and eats the lizard whole. She then goes back to eating her apple and it is only when she finishes the apple, core and all, that she realizes she has a taste for the lizards. "Hm, not too bad. Sorry, go on."

Little Ryu watches her with curiosity and begins to chase a lizard he sees, hunting it down in the most clumsy and cute way he can manage. The lizard easily escapes the slow toddling hollow which returns with a long loud mournful "Hyuuuuuuuuuuuuu!" To which he is answered with a fat plum shoved into his gaping jaws to either shut him up or fulfill his need for food.
