Pale and Morgan were off elsewhere, preparing, and so Rivven had a little time of his own to get ready. He was a bit dissatisfied with what he knew, so the next course of action was obvious; find out. And where better in this clan to learn anything than the mansion of Quintilius de Montreve?
Stepping up to the door, Rivven didn't pause to wrap his knuckles loudly over it three times. He wanted to work quickly if at all possible. As soon as he heard footsteps coming, he raised his voice and spoke through the door. "This is Rivven. I need to speak with Mr. Quintilius." he said, abandoning somewhat the manners he usually kept to a tad strictly.

Quin heard the knock on the door, looking slightly confused he spoke, "That's weird, I wasn't expecting any one today." Guy came in about then and told him that Rivven was there to see him. Motioning to Chanti, "I'll be a moment and see what he wants." Rising he left the room to go to the door. Seeing Rivven standing just inside, grinning he wondered what embaressing word traps he could catch him in. "Rivven, good to see you. Interesting no bruises, she must have ben gentle on you."

Rivven bowed to him quickly, and when he stood straight he gave him a confused look and started to ask what he was saying. And then about two words in froze and turned scarlet. "With all due respect, Quintilius, shut up." he said, a bit tensely. He tried not to blame Quintilius for what had happened, just to pretend it never had, but that was an incredibly embarassing subject for him to speak with anyone but Morgan about, and hearing it from him simply added another uncomfortable element. "No doubt you have a good idea what's going on here. I heard something interesting came up while we were gone, Pale and Morgan are setting up an attack to exterminate some sort of enemy on clan ground, and I've been given less information than I care for. I take it you should have an easy enough time guessing why I'm here."

Smiling, "Good, good, just the words I wanted to here, no mater how contradictory they are to your earlier ones. Have a seat you'll need it, and maybe a stiff drink as well but that isn't an option right now." Taking a seat himself. "Sometime after you left a group came here, sticking to the wilderness from what I have been able to put together they first attacked Ultima and Reaper. Both of them last I knew where a live but in horrible condition. It was horrible. Ultima was not at the area of the attack when we found Reaper but he somehow crawled back. A sort time there after I too went looking. Got a taste of some hot lead and I am now without my Shoggoth. Seems they are the Inquisition, very finaticle christians, zealots in all essense and they came here to clense and burn. It's a miricle that they haven't killed too many people, but I have heard reports of bodies being found of the villigers in the wilderness." Standing up he began to pace. "I had hoped they wouldn't rush into things though, better provide what aid we can. I have some weapons we can use."

"Your 'Shoggoth'? Anyway, I know plenty about zealots, nothing of the Inquisition, and I think I've heard the tittle Christian somewhere... but I'm having trouble placing it. Sorry." he sat, in the offered seat, leaning forward a bit and entwined the fingers of each hand, resting his chin on top and watching Quintilius pace. "But hot lead I recognize, that's more along the lines of what I was looking for. So they're using firearms I take it, which worries me a little. I've little experience fighting enemies using guns, most of those I was used to seeing in fighting with rifles used to be on my side, but in any case... they are rushing the attack. And that worries me most. I want to know as much as I can, as soon as I can, so I can plan what I can before they do something foolish. First of all, what do we know about they're weapons or battle tactics? Do you have any enemy weaponry, standard equipment, or weaponry in your posession? If you do I'd like to ask a chance to examine them, enemies often are much easier to get information from dead. Any reconosiance information on how many, where they are now, or tend to keep camp, or anything else?"

"Of course." Thinking for a moment he then called for Guy to bring in what they had found. "Before you can see some of their armour and two examples of their firearms. From the first battle I have concluded that they used fire lines. One or two primary with another held in reserve. From what I know of military maters they had about a dozen men but evidence from the battle sugest that some where killed and half carried away. During my own battle I was able to destroy three before fighting their leader who goes by the name Fischig. He has the ability to banish daemons. He has a small weapon that produces flame and a sword that is covered with lightning with frightning cutting power. He also had a weapon which if you look closely." pointing to his head, tilting it slightly, "Can leave a nasty mark." Picking up one of the weapons. "Also from the battle I learned that they use rounds similar to bird shot. Their capabilities are formidible for they are well protected by their armour and their helmets provided them with the ability to see clearly in the dark. Beyond that I don't have much information but we should probably prevent those two from getting themselves killed." Motioning once more for Guy to assemble all the weapons they had on hand. "I don't want this to be a blood bath so we will have to do this correctly. Blunders can not be tollerated."

"Right. This is good, we know what we're dealing with. Now. We need to figure out where they are, and what they know about us. I am afraid they are thinking of a more old fashioned type attack, straight in, one side rushing another. Very bad for close range fighters against those with fire arms. But it's possible that before they try to carry out such an attack, we could scatter the enemy; you describe them acting in very organized groupings, working together in a tight system, so if we find a way to disrupt that system, it should buy as at least a matter of seconds of confusion in which we should be able to close distance at minimal injury, engage, and begin taking out what remains. Normally, our numbers could be used to overwhelm, but I'd rather we not lose lives, and they have firearms capable of dispelling more rounds in a wider area, fairly quickly. So, I think, we want a small strike force of our most capable. Approach quickly ans stealthily as possible, employ magic or other tactic to disorient the enemy, and rush, but remain ready to quickly withdraw. We can do what they do, set up a primary force to carry out such an attack, and if it's hit hard or must retreat for some reason, the second can come in the opposite direction, draw fire that way and make the attack, and then first wave reenters and flanks. I don't know what we'll do if they're still moving about... but if they've settled in, I have an idea. Quintilius, do you have any more of your explosives, bombs? Something we can put on a timer and set to go off; and be water resistant. A tough type to find, but even if its' a small explosion with a lot of smoke, you get me a decent, self triggering, water resistant bomb, and I think I could deliver it into and enemy formation." he didn't move, but looked up from the equipment to Quintilius, smiled slightly, and looked back down. Grim anticipation, and a sort of thrill of the oncoming battle sneaking into him.

"Where they are is simple, they have through my reports fortified the ruins of the bar. So we know where they are and it's not that easy for them to go walking around with out someone noticing. I've had a few staff posted on watch. But yes, it would be best to avoid rushing but there is not much we could do with so little notice that doesn't include magic and from what I fought we are also facing a spell caster. Sorry forgot to mention that before, when he threw me my head got knocked around a little so there is the chance they will notice us no matter what we do. Although disrupting their system would be the best goal it will be difficult. These are men that kept on fighting even as the man next to them fell dead. We aren't looking at a pretty sight no matter what goes on." Shaking his head he considered what options where open to them. "We have some of their weapons and we have other weapons, let's look at your bomb idea, while I don't have much in the way of equipment at the moment to make any considering my last ones were just whiskey with a drench rag which you would light then throw. Nothing as elaborate as what you describe, but I would say a long range bombardment would be the best back of first things to do. Perhaps we can do such to keep their heads down so we can get people close to them." This would be difficult, he had faced foes before but then he was fighting with musket and he didn't have to fear the weapons he was seeing here. Home was starting to look a lot safer then here. "Well we better catch them before they go kill themselves."

"Agreed. Let's go catch up with everyone else." he stood, and stopped to pick up the shotgun Quintilius had brought out as an example as he did, looking at it a bit more, carefully keeping his hands away from the trigger as he looked down the barrel. "Well then, I suppose we'd be down to a magically prepared bomb if we can get any to use... delivery of one should be easy, though they'd of course notice it, but I begin to wonder if the delivery in of itself might be helpful to us. I recall my men walking with their rifles held above rivers, ponds, and such, out of the water. Do you suppose soaking one of these could limit its effectiveness, cause it to missfire or ruin it completely? I somehow see them being prepared for that, but flooding them out... that actually could be a very real possibility, the bar is near the forest, and there's plenty of bodies of water in there. I'm not sure what sort of long range bombardment we'll be capable of, but it looks like we're either laying seige to them magically or else laying a trap and forcing them out into it." He said, putting the gun back down where it had lain, and following Quin out.

Quin listen as he talked before answering, "It may just be easier to use individual magic to make something akin to a cannon shell. I know Morgan can produce lightning, but to design a magical bomb to then propell it through magical means, well it seems we could probably just bipass that a little and just hurl that energy at them." Looking at the weapon, "From the looks of it it's a lot more sturdy then the weapons I have been accustomed to. I'm sure the eventually over time water would destroy it but from what I've seen this thing can take a good deal of punishment and keep on working. Of course we have very little idea of if this is true. For all we know they strip the gun apart right after each battle and clean it which would explain why they work so well." Shaking his head, "Flooding would work, but then you need enough water to flood them, now add in that they are on what is more or less flat land, your going to end of flooding most of what is around them as well and then what's to keep the water from doing damage to the villiage as well. The collateral damage would be huge."

"Well, if flooding them out would be effective, I can solve our other problems. Find me a small lake or pond within a several minute walk of somewhere in sight of it, and I should be fine. It's easier to help water move as it would naturally have the tendency to, but it's not so difficult to do otherwise." As he spoke he held a hand out, palm up. At first nothing happened, then the air glistened above it a little, and he continued to speak. "The reason I was looking for a bomb rather than hurling energy is that that would put you within firing range of them most likely. If I could build a bomb, find a nice position for a doppelganger, and some water to use from not hugely far away, I could easily deliver the charge. Of course, if there are any water pipes under the ruins of the bar, I could deliver them quite the nasty surprise just straight off, and then toss the rest in. Granted, again that I'd need to be somewhere within a limited range, but I mean limited in sense that it's not like I can use magic over a range of multiple miles or anything. Likely not even one mile, but distance enough, probably." The air all around them grew dry, but above his hand a little floating mist slowly consolidated into a tiny sphere of water as he spoke, and started to churn gently as it grew gradually. "But if the guns won't be malfunctioning because of the water, then flooding might be effective to force them out, but likely not much else. It's possible I could drown a few men, but that takes more precision, and I doubt they'd sit around and watch water engulf their comrads and not do anything about it."

"I don't know how water was gotten for the bar, you would know that better then I, but there is probably either an underground reserve or some body of water within decent walking distance so that would solve our problem. When we find Pale she can probably help us in that regard." Sighing he rubbed at his eyes for a moment, "Well we have a rough plan and I'd rather have that then a firm one, we better find them quickly and round up the others and compare notes so to say."

Rivven nodded, and closed his hand over the sphere of water, which dissipated back into the air after slowly. "A good idea. Where do we look? I think most people were... the largerst gathering right now is probably in the clinic, right?"

"I'm not sure. Looking to make an attack... probably the same place we're headed; whereever the most people are." Rivven said, walking to the door, pushing it open and then pausing a step outside the doorway to hold it open for Quintilius to follow.
