Picking up his egg Dante put Kenny, who was still sleeping, back into his pokeball and followed them out of the train. "Wow I have never this close to a volcano befor. It's a lot warmer here." He commented as he looked around following the two ladies to the gym. " So do you get a lot of challanger's at your Gym Flannery?" He asked curiosly. He never really got to talk to gym leaders out of a battle situation and he was a bit curious to say the least.

Keegan stepped back out the door from his parent's house, the tail end of his cloak smoking slightly. "Remind me to stay far, far away from this place as often as possible," the told Helios, who still looked annoyed. The Vulpix's hair was groomed in an odd sort of fashion, a pink bow tied in the front. "I suppose my mother will never accept the fact that you're not a girl," he laughed, as Helios pawed and scratched at his head, tearing the ribbon out. "Just try to bear with her, alright?" The boy picked up the pink ribbon from the ground and stuffed it in his pocket, adjusting the glass case he carried in his arms. Inside the case was a pale, orange egg with darker orange stripes. "I should get a hold of Jaeshan and tell him I have it," the boy mused, kneeling down and setting the case on the ground gently. Helios sniffed at it curiously, and sat down beside it before he started grooming a paw. Keegan took out his PokeNav and quickly sent Jaeshan short message, telling him that he had the egg and to meet him at Slateport.
"There," Keegan sighed, putting the device in his pocket and picking up the egg again. He started to walk towards the train station, hearing the whistle as a train had just pulled not too long ago. It was then he spotted a familiar figure. "Hey, that's Flannery," he told Helios. "I wonder what she's been up to." He walked towards her, slowing his pace as he noticed a tall, young man dressed in black, and an all-too familiar head of blonde hair...
What's she doing here? he thought bitterly. He narrowed his eyes and continued walking. "So," he said loudly, as he neared them, "is the Heart-breaker making rounds now?" he asked sarcastically, Flannery and the guy clad in black long forgotten.

Tyler and Mitsu had arrived in the next town, neither of them bothering to even glance at the the sign that read it's name. Both immediatly walked into the Pokemon Center and handed Nurse Joy each one Pokeball. Haku and Tyler's Treeko.
"Say, how about we exchange numbers?" Tyler suggested.
"Sure, that'd be great," Mitsu replied with a smile. "Do you have any other Pokemon?"
"Naw. I just started out a few days ago. I hadn't even left my home town till today," he answered sheepishly. "What about you, I'm sure you've got more."
"How'd you guess," Mitsu said a wide grin creeping across her face. "Let me introduce you to the rest of my team." Unclicking each Pokeball from her belt Mitsu gently tossed them out. First up, of course, was Karri. Second was Ivy who was soon followed by the ever mischievous Ebony. Zypher the Pidgeotto was next, and last but not least was Sapphire the blue Houndoom. After introducing each one Mitsu let the small boy have a look at them. "I have a few more at Birch's and back home," Mitsu said as Tyler carefully inspected each Pokemon.

"...what?" Kasiya asked, blinking. It took a moment or two for what he had said to sink in. "What did you just say?" she gasped, staring at Keegan in awe.
Flannery had been about to answer Dante's question when Keegan had approached them. "What's the big idea?" she asked, stepping forward, her hands on her hips.

"You heard me," Keegan retorted, ignoring Flannery as she stepped forward. He glanced back at Dante and scoffed. "Better watch out for this one," he said, gesturing to Kasiya. "She'll rip out your heart and then eat it."
It was Helios's turn to look at Keegan in awe. This wasn't the caring boy he'd gotten to know over the past few months.

Kasiya stepped forward, Allegra jumping down from her arms and hiding behind Flannery's legs. "Where do you get off saying something like that?" Kasiya asked, her voice slightly shaky. She was never good at confrontation. "I thought we were gonna stay friends," she continued. "What's wrong? You're acting... mean. And bitter."

"Bitter? Don't make me laugh," Keegan shook his head. "I guess you can say I've had a change of heart. But you should be familiar with that, right? Change of heart?" He took a slight step forward, his eyes not leaving Kasiya's. "Or maybe you just don't have one to begin with."
The small Vulpix beside him had flattened his ears against his head, and was looking terrified. He glanced up at Flannery, and over at the frightened Skitty. He gupled, then dashed over to the gym leader, hiding behind her other leg.

Kasiya hadn't noticed the movement from Helios, only the anger growing inside her. "You've got a nerve," she growled, her usual calm face twisting into a glare. "Why don't you grow up already?" Her hands were held at her sides, clenched into tight fists. "You have no right to go around saying things like that! And in front of my friends, no less!" Her voice had now risen several octaves.

"Hey, I'm just warning the people," Keegan said defensively, still holding the egg case in his arms. It seemed he hadn't noticed Helios changing sides either. "I'm not the bad guy here," he added. "Tell me guys, is she mopey, constantly depressed and miserable when she's with you? Because that's how she was with me."

"I was not!" Kasiya said hotly, now shaking with rage. "And if I was," she continued, "it was only because you're clingy and needy!"
Flannery blinked rapidly, wondering where this sudden exchange had come from. Something told her not to interfere as she turned around, and picked up the two scared Pokemon. "It's okay," she told them gently, backing away several feet. "They're not mad at you guys."

Mike was sitting around under the usual tree spot he always sat under when he heard a commotion. "Hm?" The boy got up, his Magby sticking close by. "Sounds like two people I should know." The boy dashed over to the source of the noise. Sure enough, it was Kasiya and Keegan. What are those two argueing about? He quietly slipped next to Flannery, flashing her a sweet smile, his heart skipping a beat.

"Clingy?" Keegan scoffed. "It's called affection! And if you weren't hanging around in perpetual misery land, then perhaps you would have noticed!!" Keegan's voice was now noticably louder than before.

"Maybe I would have noticed if it hadn't felt like you were smothering me!!" Kasiya screeched back. She'd moved closer now, and the two were only a few feet apart.

Keegan set the egg case on the ground and folded his arms across his chest as he took another step closer. "What was I even thinking?" he yelled. "A selfish, heartless, spoiled little brat like you? Please! I can do so much better!"

"Then why don't you? You're nothing but a bad tempered, red-headed jerk! And a sore loser!" Kasiya hollered, now so close that she had to look up at him.
