 Mwali made a content rumbling sound as Koho stopped tickling and looked over towards Suku. The dark ears pressed into Mwali's mane and he drew back into his shoulders, his way of blushing he supposed- more of an impulse than anything. "Sorry, Suku- she jumped me! You all saw it." He reached a paw up to playfully bat at one of Koho's ears but paused, noting the startled look on her face. His eyes narrowed and ears rotated forward as he leaned up to look at her, rolling his body so he was laying in a more lion-like fashion, "Koho, love, are you alright? I didn't mean to laugh so loud, are your ea-" He paused, his eyes had been going over her to find the point of distress, perhaps he had accidentilly kicked and hurt her, but that wasn't the case.
Her belly was round, not fatty round... the other round. Bloated out bigger. Come to think of it- she had been eating a bit more than usal. He had been so proud to have caught a desert hare on his own... but he hadn't thought. "...oh dear..." He rolled up to a sit, then a stand as Koho did, a paw reached out to touch her shoulder, "Koho, are you...?"((Fine with me :wee: it's not the best, I couldn't find uncerted pics of Mwali and Koho crying ))

This was such horrible timing, "How am I supposed to fight? What if something happens!" She didn't want to be the cause of this whole mission turning back, not when the Firekin lands needed to be helped so much, but she knew that Mwali would be overly protective now, what if he sacrificed himself to save her, she couldn't let that happen either. This was all so confusing, she felt a hot prickle in her eyes as tears threatened to trace the white markings on her face. With determination she bit back the cry of frusteration she felt unusually desperate to release and with far too much work in the lioness' mind she kept the liquid of despair at bay. With one more desperate look around and then finally those warm eyes came to rest on her own belly, could she really be... pregnant?
((it'll all work out though, I mean, I can control when she gives birth so it'll be alright XD oh and Thal, the new picture in your sig of the family is awesome! I love the way you positioned the cubs XD))

the birth is a long time from now though, first we have to find firekins or sumtin and fight or discuss, or whatever and then leave the desert lands or at least be on our way out
