Princess, carefully opens the door to the common room after a somewhat awed struck day of classes. She sees Mikki, and 3 new Ravenclaws, one being a boy!! She carefully walks over to the common room couch, while smiling shyly at the new Ravenclaws. "Hi, My name is Princess. Welcome to Ravenclaw house." She goes over to Mikki and *glomps* her again! smile She whispers in Mikki's ear "Are these all new first years???"

Mikki girly punches Princess and whispers back, "Yupp, these are our ickle-firsties!" Now she yells "OHMIEDWARD! ITS PRINCESS!! YOU ARE BACK!" Mikki then *glomps* her old friend back. "Princess, this is Carrigan (the boy! yay!), Miranda 1, and Anna. Miranda 2 is probably still in class, and we never really know where Pam is.... Let's see... am I forgetting someone? I feel like I'm forgetting someone...." Mikki trails off, a glazed look coming over her eyes. Coming back, she adds "So how are classes coming for you? I have to take classes with the firsties, seeing as I missed most of last term."

Miranda drops onto her bear with her guitar next to her. "Classes were so tiring today. I'm almost done with all my essays." She sighs and puts her blankets over her. "This is more fun than I thought it'd be."

Looking up from his half-finished Transfiguration essay, Carrigan nodded carefully at the new arrival. It sounded as though this girl-- named Princess, was she?-- was probably a second or third year student at the very least. He slowly returned her smile with one of his own and went back to writing as she left to talk with the other Ravenclaws.

Mikki noticed that she hadn't introduced everyone to Princess, but just the other way around! She stood on a chair and shouted through the common room, "EVERYONE, THIS IS PRINCESS! GIVE HER A NICE WARM WELCOME, BECAUSE SHE IS THE COOLEST SECOND YEAR YOU WILL EVER MEET!" Mikki carefully stepped down from her chair and kept at her homework. "I remember this assignment... I must have done it last term!" Mikki giggled.

Miranda looks at Mikki. "All I have to do is my Defense Against the Dark Arts. I think Ill sign up for Potions when I'm done. Divitation is a joke, it's not real." Miranda looks at Princess. "Nice to meet you."

"Awww, thank you for that lovely introduction Mikki." Princess blushes a bright pink, while rubbing her arm slightly where Mikki punched her. "Classes are going quite well for me. I have signed up for Care of Magical creatures, Transfiguration, D.A.D.A., and Potions. I was hoping that Herbology would be offered this term, as well as charms or ancient runes. I have already completed my D.A.D.A and potions homework, I will get transfiguration and Care of Magical Creatures tomorrow. razz "
As Princess glanced around the room she noticed Carrigan slowly smiling at her and she responded with a slow, shy smile back at him. Princess thinks to herself 'Hmmm he seems to be a nice person, I am glad we have him in Ravenclaw.'
"Mikki, honestly you are still silly as ever! Glad you haven't changed from last year." Princess hears Miranda talking to her, she turns towards her and she responds "Thank you it is lovely to meet you too Miranda."
"So, Mikki are we going to try and get the girls together for a Hogsmeade weekend? Or should I just give up on that idea?" Princess looks upon her friend with a sly, but happy smile on her face.

Miranda poked her head over the piles of books in front of her. "Hey Princess." She looks over at the other Miranda. "There's a potions class now?? Sweet!" Knocking over stacks of books as she gets up, MIranda runs out of the room to go sign up.

Miranda looks at the other Miranda. "I didn't join, I was going to, though. It doen't look like a very good class to take. The teacher doesn't seem very organized." Miranda shrugs. "It's your choice, though."

"Hi Miranda, Nice to m....., well she was in a hurry wasn't she??? Guess she needed to sign up for potions class." Princess turns to the 2nd Miranda and comments on her statement: "Awww you should give it a chance--it is the first day of classes you know she might just be getting the hang of things. Besides the potion assignment was so easy to do."

Having heard Mikki's enthusiastic introduction on Princess' behalf, he chuckled softly to himself and shook his head slightly, still bent over his parchment. He raised his voice just slightly in order to say, "I've seen you in a fair number of my classes, Princess. Pleasure to meet you."
He figured that he might as well try and talk to the other Ravenclaws. He was by no means completely comfortable with just up and conversing with someone, but he had to get his bearings now. He didn't have to talk to everyone, he reasoned. Just his housemates. Intra-house communication would be very important in the long run.
He set aside his completed Transfiguration homework gingerly, letting the glistening ink dry as he set upon a new, blank piece of parchment with the intent of finishing Defence Against the Dark Arts. A moment later, Miranda breezed from the room, and he bit his lip to keep from smiling at the words he wrote.

Miranda hears Princess's comment about Potions. "I know, maybe I should sign up for it. Besides, that's one of the only classes I haven't signed up for. I think Divination is a huge joke. Now about Potions, the thing is, I don't know anything about Potions. I couldn't understand any of it. That's the reason I didn't sign up for it. Potions is the only class I don't truly get." She remembers a few things. "I'm done with all 3 of my essays, and I can't wait for April 16th!"

Princess over hearing a chuckle turns around and looks in Carrigan's direction. He addresses her and she answers, "It is indeed a pleasure to meet you as well Carrigan. I do believe you are the first gentleman that we have had here in our Common Room. I hope you make yourself feel at home here despite the fact you are still somewhat of a minority being the only gentleman in a while. Oh and if you are so inclined, please try out for our Quidditch team. We need as many players as we can get." Princess then turns back around to address the rest of the 1st years, "Please girls it is a lot of fun, do give it a chance. Quidditch is definitely the coolest game to play." She slowly walks up to the table where Carrigan was still sitting, and looked at his Transfiguration homework that was trying to dry on the table. "Wow you wrote quite a bit for the assignment, that is excellent. You can never go wrong with putting as much information down as possible." She looked at Carrigan once more, politely smiled at him and excused herself to go upstairs.

Well. Carrigan couldn't say he was surprised to hear he was the first 'gentleman', as it was, to be in Ravenclaw... but he was still a little perturbed by it. Exactly how long had the tower been devoid of male presence? The Ravenclaw cracked a wry smile and said, "I'm sure I'll be fine. You'll find I tend to keep to myself."
He went back to writing, pausing only briefly when Princess approached the coffee table he was working at and commented on his Transfiguration essay. He looked up sharply, looking a little pale, but he quickly reverted back into a somewhat laid-back personality, smilingly tersely. The moment the second year Ravenclaw closed the door to the girl's dormitory with her on the other side of it, Carrigan dropped the smile and swore at himself. There was no reason to be so touchy-- she had complimented him, not criticised. The boy's hand trembled a little, and a droplet of ink splashed from the tip of his pen and landed on the edge of the parchment he was working on. He watched it soak into the paper dully before placing the quill down firmly and gathering his books. Carrigan tidied them up somewhat, so they no longer posed such a threat of toppling over onto someone's foot as they passed by, and gathered his work. He was careful to mind the still damp ink on his Transfiguration essay, but nevertheless made a beeline for the boy's dormitory.
He was suddenly exhausted.

Lonnie comes down the stairs, seeing Princess on the way. "Hello! You glad to be a second year now? It's gone so quickly.."
She carries on down the stairs, seeing Miranda in the common room. "You looking forward to your birthday tomorrow? Planning on doing anything nice?" She looks at the essays Miranda has written. "I haven't managed to sign up for any classes. Feel kinda bad.. But it takes up a lot of time.. What ones did you sign up for again?"
