Honestly, I've been angry about this for a while (I think Remedi and Immeh knew about it). This chapter just sealed it for me I guess.

I'm with Renee on this one. I know Naruto is a Shonen manga, but Sakura is still a main character. She deserves some spotlight.
Personally, I was hoping for a Sakura/Sasuke confrontation this chapter. But, apparently, we're not gonna get that any time soon. Maybe she'll fight Team Hebi instead.
Other than that, not much to say about this chapter. :/

Truly disappointed with kishi.
(I also agree with you KanaRenee.)
This chapter was alright but sakura deserves more development just like sasuke and naruto.
But for the next chapter.
Brother appears before brother' What is his aim' This time? Next week "Loss"
That has me thinking too much. Hmmmm

Not angry... just depressed. I don't have enough energy to get angry as of the moment. We (Renee and I) were talking about it just last night, and she knows how I feel about it. It's that little spark of hope that's keeping me going now - it's truly disappointing to see how the manga's been handling the other characters as of late.
And yes, the chapter was boring, though it's leading to something quite interesting.

Honestly, what you said in your rant, I never even gave a thought to. I was wondering what was up with the whole 'Lack of Sakura' thing, but... I didn't dwell on it too much.
Although I have to agree with you. D: Sakura does deserve more screentime. I mean, you can't dedicate every freaking chapter to her but... we've barely saw her, if at all, for the last -- what? -- 3 to 4 chapters? Give or take.

Also, in my opinion at least, Naruto has been going downhill lately. I mean, with the whole Sasuke/Deidara fight, the constant stalling of the [supposed] Team 7 reunion, and on top of that, Itachi has been looking like he's either going to have a mental breakdown, or commit suicide. That doesn't even seem in his character. Maybe I'm wrong; if so, feel free to correct me.
There are some other things that I want to bring up, but don't really feel like it. The manga had it's good moments, but other than that, it's not really something I look forward too for the week anymore. God, Kishimoto. Get with the program. -_-;

Mmm. I feel that since Renee gave her opinion, I thought I'd give mine. If the manga doesn't get interesting, or when the eventual Itachi/Sasuke fight comes up, and they don't give any other characters any screentime, much like the other above mentioned Sasuke fight, I'm seriously going to think about hunting Kishi down and beating him with a stick. The most painful and pointy non-lethal weapon there is. Aside from the Golden Spatula~. Because after what Renee said, it's got me thinking.
Which is a good thing! But my thinking can sometimes lead me into doing rather... violent things. >>;
And on top of everything, I do agree that the chapter was boring. But not much we can do about something already inked and released, ne?

Well, I'm glad to know that my angry spout got other people to stop and think about where the manga has been going as well-- and I'm usually a big optimist when it comes to the manga.
I'm not so much worried about Itachi-- I always thought he loved Sasuke from the bottom of his heart and there was more to the Uchiha massacre than we really know and he actually did it for Sasuke's sake-- but right now I really don't care because I'm ready for Team 7 and for Kishimoto to show he hasn't forgotten his female characters XD

Kishimoto has never been good with female characters.
Except maybe making Tsunade Hokage.
And as for the manga, sorry if you find this comment rude, I don't mean to offend, but I'm just tired of hearing it.
It's Kishimoto's manga. He can do what he wants.
How would you like it if someone threatened YOU to change YOUR story to how YOU like?
Sakura may not be my favourite character, but there have been several times (before the more recent chapters) where I thought Naruto and Sakura were getting more of the light than Sasuke, so I can relate to how you're feeling now. (And of course, Sasuke isn't the only character I like that I think should get more of the spotlight, be it on Naruto, or some other manga) And I'm not dissing your opinion about Sakura getting barely any time to shine, because I see what you mean, and I agree.
It just bugs me that you're making death threats to Kishimoto -which you will never carry out, anyway- when it's NOT your story. Kishimoto is human to. He may be way more popular, and so it might not seem the same, but when people tell him he should change his story to how they like it (besides the people who work for him/he works for), I'm sure he feels the same way as anyone else.
Working on a manga is hard work.
I don't care if he only has to deal with characters/story and the linework.
He has to plan out where the next chapter will lead in one week. I can only imagine how hard it must be to keep everything straight and try to keep up with everything.
As someone who's attempted making a full-length comic for a couple years now, just making 15 pages a month was stressfull. I can only guess what 15 pages a WEEK would be like.
Maybe he doesn't even MEAN to hold Sakura and the other characters back like that.
I mean, Naruto's been running a very long time, and Kishimoto's even mentioned he's getting tired of it. So he's probably trying to get things done, and to do that, some of the characters might need to be left in the dark a little, so the characters with the current, most important roles can do what they need to. *shrugs*
Sorry, I don't mean to sound bitchy.
But I hear people talking about threatening Kishimoto just about every week for something they don't like about HIS story.
I guess, to me, THAT has been something on my mind alot lately, and I needed to get off my chest. .__.;

No, you're understandable, MooMoo. It's nto so much that I want him to do the story how I want, so much as it is that he's not doing it the way he should be-- Sasuke not getting any attention at the start was understandable, because he wasn't THERE. But Sakura is THERE. She's THERE. But he's nto using her like he should be-- it seems lie he feels as long as Sakura's in the same vacinity, the development and interaction is the same, evne if he only focuses on Naruto and Sasuke's bond.
A lot of people think I'm complaining form a SasuSaku point of view, where as I'm not. I'm complaining from a Team 7 point of view. I don't like how he seems to think Team 7's only bond is Naruto and Sasuke's bond-- and lacks bonds between his female character, who's the only main female he made.
THAT'S what's irritating. I'm not going to go over to Japan and threaten him to write how I want, but I can sit there and be disappointed in his lack of continuing on with the stories and development he set in the original part of the story, and I can condemn him for not writing up to par like he used to, and I can criticize him for not completeing themes and expectations.
I have every right to be upset with how he writes now, especially when it's compared to how he wrote the manga year ago, years ago. He's losing his touch and it's making me irritated-- he can't juggle so many characters at once, and it's his own fault for setting it up this way. But whatever.
Like you said, it's his manga, but I dont' have to like where it's going or how he's handling it.

I really don't know what to say about this chapter. I'm getting confused because this song keeps messing with my thoughts. x.x; I'm not happy that Sakura isn't getting some screen time, but maybe something big is gonna happen with her. Dunno.
