"I love you too. Be careful."

She remained behind the wall, hidden from the tanks. She place a hand on the ground and spread out her energy, growing vines from the ground in areas where she sensed the Haut soldiers, trapping as many as she could.

The tanks turret moved into position to fire on a group of trapped Haut, it fired. The armor piercing round passed through several soldiers as it inched closer to the ground and finally exploded. the explosion wrenched the torsos off of the the stuck Haut and flung them all over. Many died yet still some lived, screaming and crying with agony as the died. The tank moved into position to fire onto another group but a haut ran out in front of it with some sort of divice attached to his body. The tank knocked him over and crushed him alive from the feet up. The Haut screaming in agony as his organs were pushed up and crushed by the several ton vehical. His eyes poped out and soon his intestines, lungs and heart were being ejected from his mouth. A second later nothing of him was left as the tread rested completely on top of him. The device exploded and destroyed the tank. The multiple explosions blew the chasis onto and smaller group of trapped Haut. The second tank in the convoy pulled up and the gunner started to fire on the trapped Haut. The .50 cal rounds tore through the Haut. The remaining non trapped Haut began to retreat back to the portal. The Apache pilot noticed, and moved to block. It fired two Napalm rockets into a group. The explosions ignighted the napalm and roasted the remaining living Haut alive from the inside and outside. It the began to fire its 20mm chaingun into the flames. Kyosuke was enthralled by the carnage of the battle. With a glint of joy and pleasure in his eyes he continued to watch the battle. He began to glow with a dark energy from the death and mayhem as Masamune's sprit began to absorb the spirits of the fallen and the dark, chaotic, hate filled energy and the being emmited by the battlefield, adding to its already great power exponentialy.

"Dude, this is ********' sweet!"

His attention to the battle didnt waver, but his power kept growing.

"Sir theres something whrong up here..."
"What is it private?!"
"Sir, its a giant flaming bird! A dragon too!"
"Shoot it down! Fire Team Bravo! Move up!"

The Tank commander yelled over the radio. As the Pheonix took flight the tank turret took aim on pheonix and fired a shell at its head. The Apache pulled away. A Fire Team of infantry ran up to support the armor. One pulled a Stinger Missle Luancher off his back pack. and took aim on the pheonix waiting for it to take the heat signature. The commander of the FT pulled a laser designator off of the side of his pack and designated the dragon. The other infanty began to spray the Haut and the dragon and pheonix both. A few seconds later the Apache let fly all 8 Hellfire anti-tank missiles at the dragon. The Stiger was away and more Haut were blown away. Kyosuke turned his head to watch what they were all converging fire on.

"Idiots... They should know not to transform into anything with the JDF here."

I should have guessed this would be a bad idea, Kane your stupid plan did and is not working! moron

...during our teachings, Miguro always compared me to you, he always said that I would never have as much as an edge as you, i wasn't as persistent and determined as you were, i had the skill...but not the brains

kane...Kane! get out of there, Ryan we got a war to fight *unsheathes his sword and slashes at the cocoon only to find out that Ryan's hurting inside of it* okay that isn't good *telpathically* hey, look if anyone can hear me, or if anyone even cares, Kane's in a bad predicament*end telepathy*

Looking around, Takara saw hardly any Haut left and knew it was time to leave. She sent a message to all others within her range.

"We should leave, the military will be eithing killing everyone else in this area, or capturing them for questioning. Neither fate would be good..."

With that, she ran off, keeping to the shadows in case some soldier was actually looking at her, though her form would be seen as only a blur. Her body was covered with a few small cuts from the flying debris, but otherwise, she was fine. She stopped a few blocks away as she received a telepathic message and sent back a message of her own.

Wonderful...

"Where are you two? I'll come as quickly as I can..."

The moment she saw the fireball, she threw some of her own purifying energy at it, which was invisible to normal humans without a strong spirit sense. The energy engulfed the fireball and the two disappeared. She ran to the spot where it came from, jumping from tree to tree once she reached the forest. In a few minutes, she arrived at the cave entrance and entered. She gave the stranger a stern look.

"I could've found you simply by your aura, you didn't have to try to get the army to come here too...So, what happened?"

She circled the cocoon, examining it from all sides. She could sense a great power behind it, but she refrained from touching it before knowing what had occured.

"I don't know, this cocoon reminds one of the crystali of butterflies, which provide the place for them to undergo metamorphosis. This could be the same basic idea, he'll eventually come out, but he won't be the same. On the other hand, he could simply be trapped by the jewel..."

She stretched out a hand and gently placed it on the cocoon, cautiously probing it with her energy to see what she could find and how it would react.

Takara arches an eyebrow in surprise as she quickly withdrew her hand.

"You said all your attempts seemed to hurt him, you didn't say if he was simply touched he'd feel pain..."

With a sigh, she stood back and traced a symbol in the air, the one for opening/breaking seals and sent it flying to the cocoon. Unfortunately, she met some resistance and the energy was sent back, zooming over her ducked head and outside, where it hit a tree and disappeared.

"Whatever it is, it certainly wants us to leave it alone..."
