nothing. She hammered at the rocks, barely keeping herself under control. She had gotten lucky and found a stray deposit, it seemed, but if she didn't start getting lucky a whole hell of a lot more, she'd die in here with four pounds of aluminum in her bag. She shook her head, turning her attention towards another section of rock. Hammering the axe into the stone gave her somewhat a release of frustration, and was still productive. She stuck with that for now.

Hitomi glanced down and went back to mining. It was a moment before she looked back down and saw exactly what she'd knocked out. That may prove useful. Reaching down, she placed the ore in the bag that she left on the ground. Looking back up, she ignored trying to go after the gold. She needed aluminum, and she needed it quickly. Quickly, she found another promising-looking section and went at it with a vengeance. I need to keep thinking. When it's getting hard, I need to leave...

Hitomi's grip tightened on the pickaxe, and she grew frustrated, reminding herself that if it came down to it, she could just sit through his lecture. She raised the axe and began pounding at the stone wherever she could reach it, forgetting to monitor her breathing. She grew dizzy and fell to her knees, the axe slipping from her hand. She couldn't think clearly any more... She was supposed to do something when something happened... She couldn't remember. She couldn't think with this damned thing around her face. She pulled her haori off of her mouth and nose, looking around the cave.

Hitomi dragged herself across the ground, grabbing the thirty pounds of iron ore she'd left laying on the ground, stuffing all of it and her haori into her backpack, dragging herself to a standing position on the wall, grabbing the lamp and falling through the doorway. Numbly, she followed the arrow she had scratched onto the wall, following the path she had scratched out, trying to form a plan... With the gold and iron she had, she could easily get enough aluminum to satisfy Kaijinbo's sadistic pleasures. First on her list of priorities was to get out of this hell-hole. Once she was too tired to keep walking -even leaning against the wall- she put her fingers to her lips and a whistle echoed through the cave. Soon, the sound of wings came beating through the dark. The silhouette of a massive bird blacked out the dot of light that was the entrance to the cavern. Sighing, Hitomi dropped the bag. She had to protect Kon~kou. "Outside." Hitomi signaled to the bag, and Kon grabbed the strap, following orders. She took the bag out of the cave, dropping it outside and fighting her instincts to go back for Hitomi, who eventually stumbled out of the cave, closing her eye to the light. She couldn't tell how long she'd been in the cave, and didn't much care. Signaling to Kon to grab the bag again, Hitomi clicked her tongue and motioned for Kon to follow her. She started walking back to the village, heading for the marketplace.

Roy stood on the top of a small yet deep pool of water looking about for a moment. He realized that he hadn’t ever really come through here but whatever. It was out of the way and secluded so it was nothing but a pain in the a** to get too. In that mentioning alone, he would avoid it like the black plague. Glancing from one area to another, he seemed to be waiting on something but still. It didn’t matter. He was here now and would do what needed to be done. Of course, he was a little worried about what that ‘needed’ might be. After all, it was Etna that had called him to this place. His mind began to race with all manor of evils and horrors that the cat may have concocted to attack and destroy him. He could just picture her twisted grin as she would tell him the evils she had in store for him.
The hallowed halls of the cave began to cry and wail about him. It was the wind that was doing it obviously but even when you knew exactly what was doing something, the initial sound or push could still scare the living s**t out of you. He glanced about a bit, making sure nothing was around him. He had heard of all the zombie attacks that existed in this area… no one had ever fully found out what was going on with that but it was still a bit terrifying. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly trying not to let things get to him. He would pull his jacket a bit closer to his body as another wind, probably more chilled by his mind than actual temperature, came blowing through. Was this her test? To terrify the boy to death? That was a bit odd. But then again, maybe this was a genjutsu.
He stopped for a moment and glanced about. He hadn’t been in these caves in years now so there many faces were somewhat foreign and new to him. He would glance around a bit and soon began to place his hands together to form the seal needed for Ki release when…
“Don’t bother. This isn’t a genjutsu. At least not one I’m casting. Good thinking though…” the voice would boom around a bit in these hollowed caves causing exactly locating a pain at best. “Hmmm well now, lets get you started with this training shall we?”
Roy began to look about and soon his eye’s fell upon the cat who came walking in. She had something on her back and soon laid it on her side and looked up to him. “Welcome boy. To the hollowed halls of Miyuki…”
“Oooooook. So why’d you bring me here?”
“Simple boy… to train. However, not in a jutsu or some other such trivial thing but rather, to train your body. As many jutsu as one knows, they must also be able to back them up with pure, raw skill. And that is something you lack severely my dear boy.”
Roy glared to her, “You rely on your mind and your jutsu. In the end, those aren’t bad in and of themselves and I prefer you this way but, in the world of a warrior, one must sometimes charge in and use their body. It simply is a fact of life. Also, if you get emotional, like you children normally do, it would be useful to be able to back up whatever ignorant claim you make instead of going out and dieing in one hit.
Roy glanced to the cat and sighed a bit. He crossed his arms and looked to her for a few more moments. His eyes hadn’t left the item on her back though. “Sooo… what’s the situation then?”
Etna moved next to the boy and shrugged off the item on his back. It was a Chunnin’s vest but it looked… a little bit bulkier in certain points. “Put it on…” she said as she looked to the water. As Roy moved to do so, she would soon take the second thing on her back off. It was a kunai with a tag attached. Taking it in mouth, she flung the kunai to the sealing. Just as it stabbed in, the tag would explode in a plume of smoke and slight debris.
In the after math, the kunai was now the host to a hanging straw doll. 2 more kunai would shoot from the doll and stab into different area’s of the wall. Just as before, plumes of smoke would arise from the tags and then two different dolls were there. All three were of varying sizes and body structures. It was a very odd event as they also were all hanging above the water.
“Now, you ready boy?”
Roy had been struggling with the vest. He realized what the strange shape of it was… it was weighted down… He eventually got it on but had a few beads of sweat now. “What’s with the vest?”
“That will slow you down but increase your body strength as you go thought this and basically make the entire thing a pain. Now, step out onto the water.”
Roy did so. He looked down too the depths and realized just how deep the pool of water was. With this vest on and his lack of decent swimming skills, if he fell in, there was a good chance he was goner. He looked up and realized that the points she had thrown the dolls at were a bit higher than normal… she had planned on this. This point of the cave already had high ceilings so this was just one lovely little pain after another.
“Your mission, boy, is to hit those dolls and get, oh lets say 500 points. Head and heart shots are worth 10. Hand and feet shots are worth 4. Arms and leg shots are worth 3. Body shots are worth 1. You cannot go off the water unless its up one of the walls connected to the pool. Find the best point of attack and make it. If you miss, I subtract 2 points. Am I understood?”
Roy looked from the cat over to the puppets. He then surveyed the area and sighed deeply. He then realized that he had no kunai or shuriken. He hadn’t bought any since the last trip he made. “Oy… cat, I don’t have anything to throw…”
Etna growled a bit and then began to hiss at him, “Use that damn mutant weapon of yours!”
Roy would only step back to avoid a swipe from the cat and soon turned back. Extending out his hands, the liquid metal began to slither out and took on the forms of shuriken with a chain connecting them. A thin line wrapped around his wrist to act as an anchor for the objects when he tossed them and returned them. Once done, he would begin a charge up down the pool and up one of the walls to begin his first assault.

Beneith his feet the water would splash about. As deep as it was, he still seemed almost to skate across the surface as if it were nothing. He had done chakra control by walking upon water before so doing this was relative ease to him. Each step brought him closer and closer to the arched walls that loomed all around. The surfaces looked slick with dew and other… less than savory objects but he couldn’t let that bother him now. He was simply in the need to complete this mission as soon as possible.
The drips of the dew striking the pool of water echoed in the cavern proper almost as loudly as the footfalls his charge would cause. Shifting his chakra a bit, he began to move up the side of the wall. It was that moment of transition that was probably the most annoying. Walking upon the surface of the water required ever changing chakra control but walking up the wall was a bit more focused. Of course, the slickness of the wall makes this a bit more difficult.
He remembered back to his wall climbing training… yet another exercise he did alone… He rushed up the sides of a boulder on top of the Platue and made marks into the stone to show his success. Each mark created an almost Modern form of art across the surface of the boulder. So many success and utter failures… kinda pissed him off actually.
This was always a weird feeling, moving along the side of a wall, defying gravity and all that good stuff. Never did quite get use to it. But still, he was here now and he had to move quickly. The high walls took a bit more climbing than originally extended but he eventually made it to an acceptable point and released his payload of shuriken made of his God Legacy weapon.
The singing of the spinning blades in the air cause all that much more threat as they moved. Literally sharp enough to cut the air, it still was a marvel to Roy as to how the liquid metal could create and maintain such a form.
Sound thuds came next. Several of them together caused a sound close to thunder in this hallowed cavern. The sound would bounce around the place and echo hard in the air. He would understand the very nature of this now… as he came careening down to the ground water below. The vest had added several extra pounds to his weight so his decent was far faster than he was known to drop. Not to mention he was going to be dropping upon the water so… yea.
Quickly he applied the chakra to his feet and prepped his body for impact. Just as he touched the water, he would go sliding along it instead of skidding under it. The surface had almost not traction so he ended up slipping his hand under the water to bring himself to a stop just inches away from the edge of the water.
Slowly he rose and began a deep breath… his heart raced as he had almost touched land which would have made these points not count. Raising his hands slowly, he would twitch them slightly. The blades would shoot back to his hand and safely return to their tucked position. A quick glance to the cat was met with approval and once more he charged forward.

A wave of water would begin to wash to the side as Roy’s feet would and upon the shifting surface. All the motion of his movements and the chakra pumping through him into the water was causing it begin a churning motion.
“Don’t you dare stop boy. Keep moving or I’ll kill you.” Ahhh such comforting words to live by…
It was hard to tell when Etna was serious or playing around. Roy had learned that, in most aspects of everyday life, it was healthier to simply assume her tone to be that of seriousness and not take her lightly. He’d had marks to prove what would happen if he didn’t.
The chakra continued into his legs, alternating as needed as he moved along the surface of the water. The vest forced him down a bit more into the water than normal and thus he had to compensate with a bit more chakra and thanks to the fact that waters density changes on a moments notice, that only made the controlling that much more difficult. At least the rush up the wall was easier… only slightly. The walls were slick with dew and other… unsavory items that Roy would rather not contemplate really. This cause the control there to be easier in some places and harder in others.
In the in, this caused everything to be done within the barest of moments. He didn’t have time to recalculate or slow down. Etna was watching after all and if she noticed any degradation in his performance this early in the exercise, he’d never survive to make another attempt.
To add to all this, it didn’t help that the drew from the rock formations above was trickling down and hitting his face. So in the end, he was wet and getting wetter by the moment along with the vest becoming heavier thanks to said water and his legs getting more and more tired. What a wonderful day this was.
The sound of splashing faded into the sound of clashing as his feet would scale the stone walls of the cavern. Each step taking him higher and higher till he reached the point of no return and leapt from the walls embrace. He spun quickly and began another barrage of shuriken at the target.

Shuiro was wanderinga round, once again. What else was new? ANyways, she was wandering and trying to mind her own business when she felt someone up ahead... What caught her attention the most, however, was 'seeing' weapons with the person ahead, and then them disappearing... Someone was doing target practice. Now, normally this would drive her away, seeing as she wasn't that great with anythign tranged, however... learning to dodge this sort of thing would be essential for her... and if not that, then learning to take hits better and keep standing. On her way up, she realized exactly who it was that was training... It was Roy. Now that she was close enough to tell, she figured either him, or Etna, as she picked up a smaller figure on her radar now, would know that she was there... so there was no point in turning back now. Walking up, she stood by the opening of the cave and leaned on the rocky wall...

Roy slide to a stop on the waters surface and glanced over to the girl that had just come in. He looked up and looked over to her for a moment and waved. "Yo. Hi ya doin' Shuiro?" Roy crossed his arms as he looked over to her and smiled a bit to her. "hmmm so what brings you to this horrible little pit?"

'Seeing' his smile kept her from restraining her own. "I'm doing alright... just went for a walk and 'saw' someone up ahead... wondered who it was and all. It wasn't until I got about twenty feet away that I knew it was you. Working on your ranged attacks?" That was an obvious question, but still... when he trained, it was always several things at once... so she was curious. "Perhaps, I could join in..." She took a few more steps forward.

Roy arched a brow at her. "I thought you weren't good at range cause of your vision range? I mean, if you wnat too I got no gripes in it but..." he stopped for a moment as he began to think on things.
"She can be the target." Etna grinned a bit as she looked over to the girl. Even with a smile upon her lips, she was dead serious. "It'll be a good practice for her, to dodge what you throw at her body. You can be gentle if you like but you damn sure better try and take her down. What do you say?"

Shuiro thought it over. "True, I'm no good with ranged attacks, though if I practice at it I can manage... as to being the target... Well, I do have a better chance of dodging a hit than I do of actually hitting..." With a smile she focused her chakra to step out onto the water with Roy. Poking him in the shoulder she turned and walked away. "Tag... you're it..." If I can dodge what Roy throws at me, I'll have a good chance against pretty much anyone else in this village... One thing though, I can't shut off my pain... I promise myself I wont do it... Turning to face him, a cute impish smile formed on her lips. She was ready and waiting.

"Change of targets but not change of plans boy. You strike her instead of the dummies. I'll change the points as needed. Now as for you girl, your ability to dodge is less than relevant here. You'll probably be struck down several times. Either way, its of little concern to us." Etna would state planly.
Roy looked to Etna for a moment and then took a deep breath. She was serious about this and there was little Roy could do to alter anything. He would looked to the girl and take another deep breath as he clinched his shuriken tightly. Roy would wave Shuiro onto the water and sigh a little.
"Good. Now, I'll go over the rules for Double D here. You are NOT to leave this water's surface unless it is to scale one of the connecting walls. To do anything else will result in my striking you down. Am I clear? If so then begin."
Roy would nod and begin his assault.

With the addition of the girl, new plans are underway. Roy will try to attack Shuiro as she dodges, all while moving using chakra control. Roy will attack using 1D20 and pure chakra mod while Shuiro will dodge using 1D20 and DB. For every successful hit by Roy, the points go up by 5. A roll of a 20 increases points by 10. Missing nets 1 point. A roll of 1 subtracts 3 points.
DC for targets :

1 = -3
