Never Again...Herald let out a roar as he tore free from the constraints of the shock, but not in enough time to avoid Emma's flame attack. He felt the burn and the slice of the attack which drew a gout of blood. Still, he shook it off. It was his strength; his ability to take enormous amount of damage he could take. Herald took a deep breath, looking up in the air as he did so. He was using his flare artillery fairly early in the battle. As he released his breath hundreds of fireballs erupted from his mouth like masses of roman candles. They quickly arced into the air before falling back towards the ground, detonating all around the battlefield as they landed. In the midst of this attack, Herald slashed the air towards Emma, sending two more Beast-Strikes towards her. As she moved around the battlefield, she would constantly be in danger from the falling fireballs around her. Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma moved her sword in front of her to block the strikes, grimacing as she felt them cut her slightly. She moved back enough to get away from Herald but now had to worry about the raining fire. She continuously dodged the fireballs and the explosions, waiting to build up more energy to create another barrier. Emma winced as she began feeling burns and cuts on her body but continued dodging with her enhanced speed. She saw an opening while dodging the attacks and unleashed a huge wave of flames which came speeding towards Herald. She frowned as she felt her tattoo on her neck begin to sting and spread slightly. ☾

Never Again...Herald skidded to a halt as Emma unleashed her flames, spewing out fire of his own. Again their fires clashed. Herald's burned through Emma's after a short amount of time but he had left himself open. His fired died out after Emma's, the fireballs still raining around him and making taking advantage of the opening still somewhat difficult. Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma blinked as she examined the situation and found multiple openings for an attack. She unleashed a huge orbs of flames that came charging at Herald where the opening was located. She quickly jumped out of the way of another fireball, feeling her whole right arm get singed suddenly. ☾

Never Again...Herald looked towards the fireballs Emma shot towards him. His opening for her had been a feint but she either hadn't fallen for it or had simply chose a different attack. Annoyed, he fired a large blast of wavelength around him, wiping out most of the fireballs. The remaining ones hit him, jerking him around slightly as they burned his body. He growled and shook it off, launching himself up in the air again. He took several steps across the air towards Emma, letting himself drop suddenly towards her. He took a deep breath as he did so, exhaling a continuous blast of flames immediately afterwards. He began spinning in a circle as he came towards her, the flames following his rotation as he whipped up a tornado of fire coming towards Emma. Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma quickly put her blade away and tried to create a barrier to protect herself from Herald's attack. It was too soon to make one though so it only held back the attack for a few moments before it cracked and the vortex of fire ended up surrounding her. She growled as she felt her body begin to be singed by the flames. Suddenly, black and blue flames surrounded her and her second form exploded from the fire tornado. She growled and both tails came rocketing towards Herald, aiming to knock him out of the sky and slamming him to the ground. Blue and black flames began to spread from Emma to the rest of the battlefield then. ☾

Never Again...Emma had moved too fast once she changed forms. In her second form she now out-classed Herald in his normal one. He felt her tails slam into him, his chest bending inward before he fell backwards and slammed into the ground. He quickly flipped to his feet even as he was still traveling backwards, digging his claws into the ground and tearing up grass and flowers as halted his momentum. As soon as he reached a stop he retaliated with a stream of blue fireballs. He may be out-matched in this form, but he was going to hold out as long as he could like this, attempting to wear down Emma as much as possible before he unleashed his kishin form. Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma charged dead on towards Herald at an incredible speed, his attack went through her in this form rather easily since her regular body was surrounded by a large amount of her flames. This form was currently her best defense. She continued charging at Emma before unleashing a huge blast of fire at him, after that she continued running, aiming to slam into Herald at full speed. ☾

Never Again...Closed his eyes and leaned forward as Emma's flame washed over him like a wave. He reached out his hands and pressed them against her shoulders as she slammed into him, pushing his forehead against her own. Nevertheless, he was quickly being pushed backwards, digging into the ground as hard as he could to slow Emma's progress. He glared at her as they were eye-to-eye. "You'll have to do better than that!" He taunted, his arms shaking as he continued to be pushed backwards. He took a deep breath and exhaled a fireball point blank at her face, except with this proximity he was aiming for the fireball to go straight into her mouth and down her throat. Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma glared back at Herald as she pushed. She suddenly saw him launch his attack, though it was into her mouth which would lead to it hitting her directly. "Sh*t." she muttered before she launched a fireball which collided with Herald's attack and created an explosion. It caused her to be blasted back, she skidded to a halt as the flames regenerated. Emma was covered by even more burns now and it was beginning to hurt pretty badly for her but her current condition couldn't be seen since she was still surrounded by flames. The blue in the flames seemed to decrease, making her cat form appear much blacker now with bits of violet, hinting that Emma was close to losing it now. Emma could feel it in her head, an itching to fall into madness. She gripped her head slightly as she fought it, she wanted to get farther than this. Focusing on fighting her own madness caused her to be wide open as she appeared to be just standing there now. ☾

Never Again...Herald took advantage of what he saw as an opening, rushing forward. He knew that putting his fire against her own was a losing battle right now, so he preferred physical contact. Just before he reached Emma he jumped a few feet into the air, spinning around and lashing out with his leg in an attempt to strike her straight in the side of the face with a spinning kick. Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma ended up taking the hit, getting knocked to the side and catching herself. Her tails launched at Herald then to try and knock him backwards. ☾

Never Again...Herald tried to dodge Emma's tails but they hit him again, knocking him backwards and into the ground. She was just too fast! He couldn't last much longer in this form, but he wanted to hold out as long as he could. He quickly got to his feet, spitting out a mouthful of blood. "Are you holding back or are you just that weak?" He asked, wanting to taunt her into using up as much power as he could get her to before he switched to kishin form. "Come and get me!" He braced himself, ready to charge or dodge depending on what she did next. He could only take maybe one or two more hits before he absolutely needed to change in order to keep fighting. Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma growled before charging at Herald, she sent a huge blast of flames at him followed by a swipe of her paw. While doing that, Emma gripped her head again and winced. The tattoo had already extended to basically half of her body. This was probably the farthest she got into controlling the madness though it was becoming more and more difficult to do so. At this point, if she turned, she would probably go on a pretty bad rampage. More black flames appeared on the body of the large bakeneko and the flames around them did the same. ☾

Never Again...Herald lunged to the side as Emma sent a blast of fire at him. He almost missed her paw swipe, but again she was too fast. He felt her paw swat him as he dove, sending him spinning sideways until he hit the ground hard on his side. He let out a grunt of pain. One more hit. He would take one more hit before he changed. He stood up, though it was slower than usual. There was blood dripping from multiple wounds on his body as he faced her again. He took a deep breath and blew out a blast of blue fire towards her, though this was probably only strong enough to irritate her and maybe do minor damage. Come on, he thought as he waited to see what would happen. Will I be bound in chains
