Sparrow watched as Harmony cast the spell on Lena and when it worked Sparrow grinned and said "Yes, good work!" Sparrow now hoped Harmony could get her down unharmed.

Kenneth told Aludra, he then turned his head to the newest Hufflepuff and said, "Welcome to Defense, Dream, the assignment for 1st years is written on the black board. [page 1]"

 Harmony Trumarie...
Harmony found herself jumping back in a swift motion as the Gryffindor was dragged up by her spell. If she and the girl were anywhere close to hitting each other the Slytherin did not know. 'Better safe than sorry I guess...' The brunette looked up and nodded in return to the 4th Year's complement. Although she found the situation amusing, she withheld a chuckle and kept a passive face. Sparrow added a complement of her own. "Thank you...both of you."
Harmony rummanged through her memory for the counter-jinx, finding it she decided to try a different spell one that was much broader in it's counter-effects. "I don't know the counter-jinx. But hopefully this will do..." She pointed her wand at Lena. "Finite!" The spell made it's way towards it's target making an odd sound as it cut through the air quickly.

Sparrow had been watching closely and when she heard Harmony say that she didn't know the counter spell Sparrow was about to point out that it was on the board but she had already cast Finite. Sparrow realized she hadn't cast the cushioning charm under Lena first and Sparrow quickly took her wand and whispered, "Spongify" on the ground hoping it would make it if/when Lena was let out of the Spell.

Kenneth slowly walked around the class room glancing at each student as they practice there respected spells. He couldn't help but admire them all, he was glad that he hadn't been a complete failure in actually teaching spells to others. "Your all doing an excellent job keep up the great work." he said to the whole class. Soon he would need to come up with a new lesson, after all most of the class had performed the assigned spells already.

Aludra Yvette... "Well I guess I'll be going then." she said as she walked over to where she had left her bag. It was in the same spot as she had expected it to be in and picked it up, slinging it over her shoulder as she walked from the room. ...7th Year Slytherin

Kenneth pointed his wand to his throat, magically amplifying his voice and said "attention class, its time we moved onto a new lesson. For those who haven't finsihed the previous lesson, please do so quickly." He moved to the front of the room flicked his wand at the black board to erase the old assignment and write the new one. "Okay lets start with the 1st and 2nd years. The new assignment for you is a fire spell called 'Lacarnum Inflamarae.' This spell will cause a small fireball to launch from your wand. You wont need partners for this, as I don't want you setting each other on fire. So you will move to this side of the room" Kenneth pointed toward a spot near the right side of the room. "There you will cast the spell on the wooden Death Eater mannequins. Once you manage to set the mannequin on fire, you will need to cast Aguamenti to put the fire out." Kenneth paused for a moment to draw in breath before continuing. "3rd and 4th years will be practicing the Reducto curse, on the remaining Death Eater mannequins on the left side of the room. This spell depending on how much power you put behind it, will either break objects apart, or disintegrate them." He then turned his attention to the 5th-7th years. "You will be practicing with a partner, the spell, Incarcerous. Its a handy spell that will allow you to bind someone in ropes to keep them from escaping once you have subdued them."

Charlotte walked over to the wall farthest from her seat and pointed her wand at the frightening Death Eater Mannequin. Charlotte aimed her wand directly on the Death Eater's head and cast the spell of Lacarnum Inflamarae. She missed by a few inches and whispered the Aguamenti spell before it would burn the whole room. She started over, now aiming perfectly. Charlotte smiled modestly to her self and repeated the spells.

Lily is correct, I don't want you practicing with a partner, as I don't want you to set each other on fire. However if you wish to use the same Death Eater mannequin, then you can do that. Just remember to take turns and to put the fire out before the next person steps up to attempt the spell." Kenneth told Heart, since it seemed that he hadn't been to clear before.

"My turn." said Antoinette, smirking and throwing the girl an arrogant look.
She then whipped out her wand, pointed it at the mannequin, and said, "Lacarnum Inflamarae!" Only a thin wisp of blue flame came out of the tip of her wand. She quickly tried it again. The same small wisp came, and faded. It took seventeen tries before the robes of the mannequin were engulfed in blue flames. She basked in her glow (actually the fire's glow) with a wide, cocky grin.

Amelia Frances
 Amelia had frowned at the shove, but brushed it off. Her housemate was obviously fine. She'd found a place in line to wait for her turn to attack the mannequin. As she did so, she watched the cocky girl to fail repeatedly. It wasn't like her to laugh at others' mistakes, but after she'd turned around so proudly she couldn't conceal it. "She's sizzling hot." She commented in a voice loud enough as the flames grew forward to lick the back of her hair. If they'd gone further , Amelia would have tried her Aguamenti spell, but she figured the hint (as well as the smell) would be enough.
Still a Ravenclaw, she raised her hand in curiosity. "How does this differ from a basic Incendio?" If she'd been taught it, Amelia probably might now, but as she'd only cast it successfully once, after hurriedly finding it during Potions in her Charms book, she had no clue.

Heart shook her head sadly, thanking the others for clarification. She walked towards the row of mannequins, before pointing her wand at one of them. "Lacarnum Inflamarae!" A ball of flames shot out from the tip of the wand, hurling itself at the wooden Death Eater. The student looked smugly at the burning wood, almost forgetting to put out the flames with Aguamenti. Her eyes glazed over as she watches the wisps of smoke rise.

Ghaleon Elmerast, Ravenclaw, 2nd Year
Ghaleon found himself repeating the proper pronunciation of the spell 'la-CAR-num in-fla-MA-ray' over and over again not above a whisper focusing intently on the mannequin, making certain his hand was no where near his wand. When on his own he usually found himself practicing the pronunciation before his initial attempt at any given spell. Finding that doing this tended to help him better focus and while he'd typically be the last to try using a spell it often resulted in better first attempts at a spell.
