When exactly do you decide to edit someones post? is this an IC or OOC context?

• The ' Personal Attribute guide' seems more focused on what is not acceptable than what is acceptable for usage. this is not a question.
Quote:
• You cannot use weapons that are not related to the Naruto universe. (Example: IRL Guns, robots, etc, except for what is shown in canon)
Does this mean that only weapons seen in cannon are permissible? or is there a logical wave of acceptability in the realm of available technology?
• if you are not a musician or tamer class are you still able to keep pets or play instruments outside of battle?
• if you are not of a ninjutsu class are you still capable of learning ninjutsu (or genjutsu/taijutsu/etc.)

The first quote is in reference to submitting custom content, such as styles, ninjutsu, etc. Acknowledging that we have the right to edit materials once they become guild-used property.

The Personal Attribute guide is set up that way to show what is immediately illegal, but we do leave it open so that other creative ideas can be designed.

There is a logical wave of acceptability based on what is designed and what it built and accepted using the new Smithing/Jobs system.

Yes, you can own pets or play musicians, but Tamers have exclusive abilities and setup to owning special types of pets. Anyone can play music, but only the Musician/Performer class can use instruments to perform ninjutsu.

Yes, people outside of the Ninjutsu class can still learn Ninjutsu, up to their class limit. One can also use their PAs to gain more ninjutsu/genjutsu slots or a Tai/Buki style.

Kagetsukiko
That is a tricky question, as there are Genjutsu and such that can be utilized using a bell, etc. I would err on the side of yes, but that these bells would have to be specialized.
So the bells would need to take up a custom weapon slot?

No, there are instruments for purchase in various shop threads in the guild. You just need to own the instrument in order to use it as a focus for jutsu.

Ah, then can I start with the bells as instruments for my basic starting weapon?

So when choosing the basic weapon does it have to be for ex. a regular steel Katana? or can it be a weapon that would tie into the user's jutsu? Obviously not on an overpowered level by any means.

Edit: Also what exactly does "Reductions" mean? How might I figure that out.

Your basic starting weapon can't have additional effects and you can have only one ( I made that derp xD ). So yes, it'd have to be a plain anything, ei: staff, katana, spear, etc.

You get reductions from your classes and sometimes even your bloodlines if you chose one. It lowers the amount of posts you need to learn a technique. ( ro sometimes even lowers the posts needed to complete missions or jobs )

Oh ok I see now, I think I figured out the Reductions because for the two classes I chose it said 1 post faster for learning techniques. I wrote that in the corresponding line so is that correct? lol

I've RP'd before but never a Naruto one.

Edit: I've also submitted a Bloodline Approval request. Character isn't posted yet but will be after the Bloodline gets approved or not approved.

Regarding the Formless Styles:

To be frank I think the way it's worded is a bit cluttered and confusing, so I have to ask for more clarification.

As a taijutsu shinobi specializing in the 8 Gates it says you can learn all of them.

I ask because being that you are limited in that you can't learn anything besides the 8 Gates style, the Formless Styles become an important source of ability versatility.

Can someone explain how learning them works? Do you start with all of them considered "unlocked" at D-rank? Do you just post training links related to what the specific Formless Style is? I.E. Hard Physical, Soft Mental, etc.

For the weapons, can you ONLY learn one of each type? Light, Medium, Heavy? or any type of weapon under the sun.

I understand at any one time only two of them can be considered "locked", and you get to start out with one "locked" type at the beginning. "Locked" meaning it is your character's best attribute and gains a free ranking with each rank.

My last question is in regard to the formless slots. Are those free rank slots you can toss into ANY of the formless styles you learn or ONLY the locked ones? I understand you can pick one of the many canon abilities if you so choose.

Hey,

I had a comprehensive question. How do the various materials in the world come into play when applied to clothing or armour? An example would be the steel forehead protector as it was supposed to be protective gear. Another example is located in the tailor section of the artisan city bring the different options you can weave into cloth when buying clothes.

I wish to know for future reference when crafting.

I have two short questions:
1) Are there curse marks in the guild, I can't seem to see them listed anywhere.
2) If so, how are they obtained?

Rexnov: I believe I can answer both questions pretty quickly: look here, a few posts down.

Toryu: Apologies for the delayed response. If I'm reading your question correctly, you're asking about how materials like efreet skin (for a cloth example) interact with other smithing types, correct? Basically, a material provides its bonuses to anything it's included in, within reasonable limits (a silent undershirt won't stop metal boots from clinking against the floor, for example). Does that answer the question?

I noticed various jobs have individual specializations. Does that mean I can allot missions to a specific specialization? I.e. I've complete 20 medical missions. I allot 10 to Internal specialization and 10 to Nursing specialization and earn the Internal: Lifesaver and Nursing: Lifesaver specialization.

Rexnov: Takumi has some for sale, but pretty much everything affects only items. As long as they don't get stolen or damaged, though, you should be fine.

Koko: You pick a specialization when you hit "apprentice" (or whatever the lowest tier is) and you get whatever bonuses that specialization grants. You can't have more than one specialization within a job, at least without a PA or something else that allows it.

Hello! New player here! Still picking through the info and threads to understand all of this. Anyone got the time to PM me back and forth for the creation of a medical ninja? There is a lot of info to sift through.
