He had forgotten what he was wearing and felt a blush across his cheeks for a fleeting moment. then indignation crept in. she had stolen his clothes, she had barged in here accusing him of all sorts, she was being unreasonable, not him, SHE was the one at fault here, not him!

And then Delta bit. He jerked back as the gryphon clamped her beak onto one of his outthrown arms. He was seething as he calmly gripped the back of her neck and flicked his fingers in under her lower mandible. His body seeming to shiver as something changed ... almost imperceptibly.

His eyes were steel cold when he looked up at Sy. "It's no wonder she jumps in to things when she has a mother who rushed blindly to conclusions!" he shouted. "I haven't been doing anything, Kiro was a cat, I picked him up, he turned back to himself it was all... GAH" even to himself it seemed a little unbelievable; but.. he was a kitsune and she had, herself, been turned into a cat before. Surely she'd believe him, come to her senses.

"PUT HER DOWN." Despit his steely eyes, she wasn't intimidated. Actually, more than anything, she became even more intense... as if his anger was feeding the fire.... and although Delta had bitten him and been at fault, her maternal instinct kicked in. He was holding her, and they were yelling at each other and pissed.

And like most people (not least of all this emotional woman) in a heated argument, there was a lack of reason and logic. Pure chaos was seeping around her. Logically she knew he wouldn't hurt Delta, but irrationally she was bristled and paranoid for her 'daughter.'

Besides, the faint blush on his cheeks which she took as embarassment of what he had done, coupled with his excuse that Kiro had done exactly had happened to her before seemed unlikely. Especially with Alyosha dressed like he was.

"Oh, just like me? How coincidental." Obviously she didn't believe him.

"YES, just like you" he retorted. He held Delta tightly, he beak now held so she could not bite nor move around, her body supported with his other hand.

"I'm not even sure you should be looking after such an impressionable young creature!" he said, out of anger. He didn't mean it of course. He knew she was a good mother, took care of this young thing who had no home. He had trusted her then and trusted her now. His anger dictated his words, not his brain.

Something in his hind brain irritated him. It prodded him to let the Aerandir go, calm down, explain, get her to calm but his front brain ignored it. It was superior after all.

As she saw how firmly he held her, how upset her poor child looked, and heard his words, rage pent up inside her. Clenching and unclenching her rather small, delicate hands, she looked more silly than intimidating. Muscles in her tensed, making her look on edge, crazed, ready to pounce... but she did none of these. Instead she strove forward steadily, her eyes burning with hatred- not for him, but for the words. The idea she was an unfit mother.

And pulling back she slapped him. Hard. Enough to leave a handprint, but not by any means enough to dislocate a jaw unless he had osteoperosis. She might be a hanyou, and a Shinigami, but it was her psionics that held her power, and as pissed and unfocused as she was, they had a better chance of going wild than actually doing anything condusive.

"You b*****d!" She yelled, her voice crackling like a fire with fury. How dare he. How DARE he!

Kiro's first action upon getting back to his room was to put some clothes on. That made him a little more dignified at least. Tsukai watching the human-shaped thing quietly, absent of peeps. He could feel Kiro's mortification, and was sympathetic. Eventually the gryphon flutter jumped onto his usual place next to Kiro's neck, and peeped consolingly.

Kiro frowned slightly, his ears then twitching at the sound of raised voices. He should probably go out there and make sure they weren't trying to kill each other. His thoughts, at no point, thought the situation had looked anything other than deeply embarassing to himself. He wasn't sure why they'd be arguing. But he figured it probably had something to do with himself. So, fully clothed aside from his bare feet, Kiro padded down the corridor, stroking Tsukai with a gentle - if slightly trembling finger - his ears twitching a mile a minute.

He made it into the main area in time for the slap.

He stuttered uncertainly for a second, turning a little pale and wishing he'd minded his own business. "I...I uhh..."

Alyosha stood there, quietly. She had hit him. Hit him for NO good reason. His jaw clenched tightly, his light fangs showing as he snarled slightly, a gutteral sound deep in his throat. He had no compulsions when it came to returning such a favour. She was a female but she was a youkai and strong, to his mind. All of his sisters had been as strong as he was, after all.

It was only Kiro's voice who checked him, made him hold back, one eye closing to grind out the smarting handmark on his cheek.

Sy, again, was still blind in her anger. Despite the appearance of both Aly's fangs (which she had not seen before) and Kiro, now clothed, she was still concentrated almost completely on her daughter. Delta, meanwhile, at the sight of Kiro, begun squirming under Alyosha's grip. She expected nothing less of Kiro than the grand heroics she had used to save him. After all, he owed his life to her. Ahhh yes, delusions of grandeur.

"Get out," Sy said coolly, her eyes not moving from their fixation on Alyosha and Delta. She didn't understand why he returned- after his little guilty dash, surely he didn't expect her to happily recieve them as a couple?

Well... Kiro might be easy to startle and easy as hell to embarrass. But he wasn't used to being 'told' in that sort of voice. And he didn't like it at all. He blinked broadly as he asked the question. "W..why? What did I do...?"

He was still shaking a little, and could feel Tsukai squatting tighter in beside his neck. The Aerandir could sense that bad things were going on here. Oh yes... he wished Kiro would just back away slowly...

"Don't you dare" he said to Sy, his voice quiet now. He wasn't defending himself, he was defending Kiro too now. He was innocent, the boy must be mortified - something Alyosha was not personally affected by often - and this he was his charge.

"He hasn't done anything and neither have I, Sy!" bloody woman. she had slapped him, was being unreasonable and the little gryph in his hands was struggling. He marched over to Sy and forced Delta into her hands. "You get out" he whispered, close to her "and don't come back until you're in your right senses."

this was his home, not hers, she had no right to tell anyone what to do. He was disgusted at her, her attitude and was beginning to wonder what he had seen in her.

As Delta was plopped into Syrenrei's hands, she was relieved and started to let little shrieks of "KEE-AAA!" come out, as if to vocalize her discontent at even being captured. Most of these shrieks were directed at Aly who had done nothing more except maybe wound her pride. She wasn't as good at being a warrior as being beautiful, that was for sure, but she still liked to believe she was good at everything.

Turning her attention to Kiro, as if she had heard nothing of him telling her to leave, her anger slowly seemed to go from a boil to a simmer. None of her wrath was directed at Kiro- she considered him an unwitting victim... she couldn't imagine him ever being hurtful. "It's not you who's a villian here."

As her mother addressed Kiro, Delta jumped from her mum's arms to run across the floor and rub against Kiro's legs. Despite all the heated emotions in the room, she wanted petting and comforting.

"What?!" Kiro's voice was stuttered, and a little breathless and confused. Like the word had indignantly choked out of him. A villian? Who...? "There's no villian here. Sy, I don't know what you're talking about...!" His own voice was rising now, a trait completely uncharacteristic of him. She was making no sense, and putting his already mortified brain into a state of confusion. His tail swished almost angrily, not unlike when he was the previous disgruntled kitty. He didn't even notice as Delta ran towards him, simply staring at Sy in a combination of confusion and now agitation.

Tsukai just clung tighter... oh dear...

she had ignored him and now he could see the normally placid Kiro was getting irate. He had explained what had happened and she, in a blind fury, was disregarding him.

Ignoring him. MMPH

He was close to her still and grasped her wrist. Bodily he pulled her and forced her out of the centre main doors, pushing them open and her outside, spilling into the rain darkened sky just as a few drops began to splatter from the heavens. "I SAID get OUT" he repeated, his anger let loose. His muscles were taught, his lips raised against his sharp teeth.

Ieyasu

PostPosted: Tue May 24, 2005 2:14 pm

Ieyasu had decided to take Osusuki for a short walk, as the energetic gryphon was getting rather bored with just hanging about the house. Only problem was that now the sky was darkening. That didn't bode well for remaining dry. Shoving his hands into the pockets of his jeans, Ieyasu glanced over at the gryphon, who was prancing over the path, his wings splayed and his tail flicking happily. "Hey, you, come on. It looks like it's about to pour - we'll go to the centre and see if there's anything for you to do there."

Osusuki paused in mid step to look around at his guardian. Cheerfully, he chirruped before meandering his way back. He was wondering if there were any of his friends around. It had been a while since he had seen any of them, and he wanted to play with another gryphon. Maybe he'd be lucky and they'd find someone!

The first rain drops began to fall as the pair approached the centre. Glancing up at the sky, Ieyasu looked up, his gaze thoughtful. He wondered if it would just be a rainfall, or if thunder would roll too. A thunderstorm would be nice. If that happened, he could find something for Osu to do in the centre and pop outside, just to sit in it. Maybe. First things first though. He was a few paces from the door when it was flung wide with an angry shout. What the hell? Stopping abruptly, Ieyasu stared as an irate-looking Alyosha literally threw Syrenrei out. Looks like there's been something going on here anyway. Lover's tiff, probably. Not that he was about to voice this with the older, obviously angry kitsune within hearing range. So he just stopped, for now.

Trumpeting again, Osusuki bounded up the familiar path to the centre. Water was falling from the sky again! When the door smacked open, he skidded to a stop, chirping inquisitively. What was going on here? Sitting back on his haunches, he trumpeted again, tilting his head as he watched.

Sy didn't offer any response as she was thrown onto the ground by Aly, who must be an interesting sight to Ieyasu, dressed as he was. His lack of response either meant he was stunned or intimidated. She really didn't care which it was, as both meant she had no want for him to be there.

Her anger was already fading from her into a more depressed spiral, but she wouldn't give anyone the satisfaction of seeing her cry, even if the rain would be a great cover. No, she wasn't about to be weak. Her mother had always said that women used crying as a way to exploit a man's weakness, and it was only a sign of their own. She always tried hard not to cry. This time it involved biting down hard on her inner cheek.

"Terrible mothers as I am, you have fun taking care of Delta." She stood, brushing the wet sand off her clothes fruitlessly. She didn't want to give up her daughter, really, but she couldn't get past Alyosha, and plus she figured if he found her so unsuitable, he was bound to get her a new home anyway.

Turning on her heel she was face to face with the other kitsune. There wasn't as much of a need to hide the complex emotions from him. Her face easily enough showed them, although there was also a steely composure that had not yet broken.

Kiro trembled as he stood where he was and watched everything else take place. Was he the cause of the whole arguement? He found it hard to believe, and even harder to even comprehend. What had he actually done...?

He still wasn't paying much attention to Delta, but Tsukai noticed the larger Aerandir, and hopped down to her with a flutter. He could guess she'd be upset at being ignored, but could also tell Kiro wasn't going to be fussing over her anytime soon.

Despite his anxiety, Kiro took a few steps towards the door, not really mindful of the Aerandir at all. He was upset, but if he'd caused this arguement, he wanted to be a hundred percent sure he'd done all he could to fix it.
