Shalom. My name is Link (or Nick), age 16, and I'm from Kentucky." Well to summarize my Gaian experience it's been filled with ups and downs. I started Gaia in December 2004 and started making events and doing some major work in the extended discussion in 2005. In 2006 I started to get off Gaia and headed onto my PS2 and began to play in clans on Star Wars Battlefront 2. After being in one clan for about a year and making really good relationships with those guys I got banned from the PS2 by my parents for being on "too much." Anyways, about 2 months later those clans kind of died because the leaders were getting older and XBOX360 just came out. Then about mid 2007 I got back on Gaia for the "new battle system." I quickly joined the clans and got hooked. I guess I was in the clans since July 2007 and I'm still barely active in a clan and it's May 2009. Yeah... anyways, my past in the clans is HUGE. Basically I defined the entire forum early 2008 and then it pretty much died after zOMG came out. Go figure... >.> XD
I'm a high school sophomore about to become a Junior. ^_^ I'm currently looking for a summer job and with the economy the way it is... mcdonalds or grocery store is about all there is. That great mailroom job where I would be 'the chosen one'... no dice. Figures... >.> XD
I'm a good disc golf player when it's not soggy outside... >.> I like to play basketball with friends and hang out. Oh and I'm really good at two hand touch football. ^_^ Yeah... >.> Tackle football is for Jews. >.< XD Take it as an insult? XD Exactly.
So yeah, wow... *sweat* lots of info about me. ^_^

IRL Stuff: My name is Rob ( Reuben Micah ben Simcha ha'Levi wink ), age 26, and I'm an Ashkenazi Levite. I live in North Carolina, but I was born and raised in New Jersey.
Gaia Info: I mainly hang out in ED, even though 99% of what goes on there is nonsense.
Occupation: Aesthete, Pothalgiac, Philosopher, Bohemian, Hedonist, Slacker, Timewaster.
Hobbies/Interests: Sleeping, philosophy, spirituality, mysticism, language, etymology, zen, consciousness expansion, and complaining.
Favorites: American Beauty, Fight Club, Ghost World, Pink Floyd, Sigur Ros, Hermann Hesse's "Siddhartha", J.D. Salinger's "The Catcher in the Rye", George Orwell's "Nineteen Eighty-Four" and "Animal Farm," Philip Pullman's "His Dark Materials" Trilogy.
I went to Hebrew School at a Reform synagogue and made Bar Mitzvah. I joined a Conservative youth group (USY) as a teenager, mainly because my friends were in it. After that, I drifted away from the faith and started identifying more with other beliefs and philosophies. I don't really practice the religion at all anymore. I'm here because I'm open to learning more about Judaism, and especially different people's reasons for believing.
