Penny thumbed through a rack looking at sizes. Too bad there wasn't a size that said something like 'really a size 10 but because you're a superhero and all with a few added muscles this will fit you perfect.' Everything seemed to be too tight here, not tight enough there. It was getting rather frustrating. Not to mention, all the added people in the mall with their idle chatter was getting on her nerves.

"Who's brillian idea was this," Rogue said sarcastically having no luck with her sense of style. She gave small smile and nudge Penny in the side.

"Maybe you should try Hot Topic," Penny joked and actually thought that might not be a bad idea for Rogue. She found a dress in her size and pulled it off the rack. She flipped and glanced at the price tag, "Man am I in the wrong business."

The aisles were so crowded this particular evening that she couldn't help but almost run people down trying to get into the aisles. A few girls kinda pushed their way in front of penny cutting her off causing Penny to almost knock over another girl [OOC TEAGAN]. Penny put out her own hand to catch her balance and put her other on the girl to make she she didn't really knock her over.

"I'm so sorry!" Penny exclaimed apologetically, "This place is absolutely insane. Nobody is watching where they're going or who they're knocking over."

Noko shrugged her shoulders. " im not taking John. Hes wanted by to many people. Id rather him stay safe and the school NOT be burned down again. " she said a hint of amusement in her voice then she frowned. "id love to take him though. " flipping through more dresses hse frowned. None were really her style.

"Maybe you should try Hot Topic,"

Noko and Rogue took one look at each other and left the store quickly as possible. On the way though she knew it would be dentrimental to her life she grabed wanda and freya's arms and drug them out. " to much preppy crap. Were going to hot topic. Then ill buy coffee and soda and pretzles. " she said in a probably very vain attempt to keep wanda from killing her. Though she knew freya would be better at that having seen the two in action. Once in the store she ignored freya and wandas bickering and stood beside rogue looking at the dresses.

"So who are you going with?" rogue asked politely.

Noko sighed heavily. " id love to take john." she said as rogue screwed up her nose. Never really approving of the fact her friend was dating someone she deemed a criminally insane pyromaniac. " But you arnt?" she asked again hoping for a little more info. Noko laughed " No and he doesnt know it yet. But Lance is taking me. " she said looking at a red and black dress.

Jacen wasn't out on the town to get any garments. For whatever reason, his dear 'friend' Emma Frost had supplied that for him. "That woman is going to confuse the s**t outta me," he said as he hopped into Lance's jeep, and hit the wires to start it up. Little known to Avalanche, Jacen had decided to borrow his vehicle. What he needed was something for his injury. The ace wrap he had was getting too worn, plus he needed some aspirin or something for the swelling. He thought in vain that their medicine cabinet would have had something, but he knew deep down that a true ghetto house has nothing you ever need.

Again, he hit the wires together and the jeep started up with a rumble. At the same time, a rather raucous burst of guitar, bass, and drums rolled through like a steamroller. Curiously, Jacen listened and looked at the display on the discplayer in the dash. ".......This is....interesting," he noted as he threw the stick in reverse and pulled out of his parking spot. So, he decided to make a quick run to a familiar convienience store to get another carton of smokes. Nothing too big. Unfortunately though, they didn't have any medicines there. Hardly a convienience.

While he drove to the other side of town, he saw the two pharmecies that were on that block close within seconds of him passing by. It was their time to do just that, he thought. Not too big of a deal, but he knew that the only other pharmacy was a small hole in the wall style place in the mall. With people. Lots of people.

"Goddammit," Jacen said over the blaring music. Slowly, he pulled a u-turn and headed down the road. As much as he didn't want to go to that place, he needed to.

Regina watched the other two girls run down the way to Hot Topic. She loved the store but the clothes weren't her style. As much as she would like to buy a dress there, they were also way out of her price range.

Glancing through a rack of dresses, she idly handled a blue satin gown that would compliment not only her figure but her hair color as well. She sighed when she saw the price. It wasn't even close to what she could afford.

"This is turning out to be a bust..." she muttered, and followed Noko's little group over to Hot Topic. It was more fun to look there at least.

ooc: regina? girlie? oh gods... lol. this oughta be good... i'll let you finish first before i add anything.

Before they left the store, Penny grabbed Danielle by the arm too, "Don't you worry about that dahling." (Doing her best Zsa Zsa Gabor accent)

Danielle looked confused as Penny dragged both her and Regina out of the store, "what do you mean?"

She smiled, "Aside from looking like a fancy pants boarding school, xavier's kids get the rep for having money for a good reason. Ol' Chucky never lets us go empty handed. It's like that rich uncle you never had. We all get a monthly stipend. Yours is probably ready for you but we dragged you out of the house too fasst."

"Are you serious?" She looked amazed.

"Daddy Warbucks takes care of us. We all work too damn hard all the time to get part time jobs... not to mention, some of the kids come from no homes. They have no parents to send an extra twenty bucks here and there."

"So what do I do in the mean time?" Dani asked.

Penny waved her hand, "Don't worry about it. We've got you covered. You're on the Green Team now. We'll take care of you."

"The Green Team?" She asked.

Penny nodded, "All the kids at the Institute are divided up into teams to train with and to learn with. Regina, myself, Morgan, Jamie, Gen, and Matt... and you now, are the Green Team under Mr. Porter. I checked the bullitines before we left."

"So don't worry about anything and have fun. I'm determined to make this one last big hurrah before graduation," Penny laughed and brought them into Belle's Boutique.

"I am so not going to let you get away with any type of pants," Penny interjected, "You will skirt it and you will like it."

"I am going to get you for this," Regina waved her finger.

"Oh, I can count on it," Penny said and immediately found a silver spaghetti strapped dress that she liked. The back was mostly cut out and showed off her lone tattoo of a Phoenix, "Now this is a dress. I'm going to go try it on. Coming?"

"Yea, I'm coming," Regina took the blue dress with her.

Penny slinked into the dress which just about fit everything right. It was a little tight in the waist because of her abs, but nobody probably would notice. She opened the door to stand in one of of those three way mirors with bad lighting.

"Damn, Pen, You do not look like the girl who was pulling practical jokes on Scott Summers six months ago," Regina opened her door and moved out to the mirror with hesitation.

"Hmmm," Penny thought, "If you're that uncomfortable, we can find you a wrap or something. Classy but it will let you cover up some. Who knows, they blast the AC so much in that place that we might wish we had one with us."

Penny went to take her dress off and started to get a massive headache from all the perfumes and clatter going on. She told Regina and Dani she'd meet them outside so they could go to Claires or some place to get perfectly cheap costume jewelry.

"Air," She muttered and stood against a railing waiting for the other girls. She saw Morgan walking down through the crowd, "Hey, Morgan, how's it going? I'm glad it looks like you decided to go."
