Random Fan created Mecha FTW, er, FTL... wink
Generally I never did like Fan created Mecha. Or worse, when someone took Macross Mecha that didn't exist in Robotech and inserted it there. The only exception being, I dunno, during the "Third Invid War" type storyline, where you can end up with 40 years past the end of the series, and thus a reason why there should be new stuff.
You know, I love that "Experimental, only 20 exist. But every roleplaying group has at least 4 of them" sorta thing. wink

I wasn't talking about the tranforming variation. i'm talking about the basic version. and like i said you want to stop some jeeps not wipe out half the bity in a few minutes.
I think that the fact you had them keep the training equipment of an interesting situation you whon't damage the streets and that sticky paint will hold them down so troops can arrest them or whats left of them i should say. unfortunetly its going to be a pain removeing that paint from everything.

Mr. Highwind: Ah. I sort of consider Macross and Robotech 1st generation to be one and the same in my mind. (Though I know which are the official Robotech, and which are Macross only).
The training gear is the result of Rachele's sudden need to launch now in a Valkyrie that doesn't have a dedicated combat-ready maintenance crew. The only thing they could give her on such short notice was one hardpoint missile pack.

well and they probably had to haul it over from the maintance area to the hangar area and get as many (if there were any) parts back in it that it desperately needed to fly. since your char headed to the hangar so fast I say they did a comendable job. wish the mechanics at the local body shop were that dedicated skilled and fast at there work as these guys.

Most of the "Original Macross" stuff I see, but didn't make it to Robotech I'm wiling to accept on the "It was experimental, and not our final design" stuff. Which to me always ment something like "There are 20 of them, tops, all prototypes"...
So of course every gaming group has 4 of them available, etc. As I was trying to point out above. wink
It's sorta like something Rich Burlew said in one of his articles, where he was making a world from scratch. That being: Magic is rare, and there are almost no wizards in the world... except in every single adventurer group you find.
I love how RPing warps logic like that. xd

the useing chaff on the rockets has me kinda confused. is this an rpg type rocket or a missile?
Ive played in campaines before were the world has rare magic and no one is allowed to play a magic class, not even a cleric, or paladin. ragers, bards, and other classes which recive few magic abilitys and only very seldom gain new ones were alowed.

I was actually thinking they were someting like the Javelin "Fire and Forget" anti-tank system. So I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I reread the post, and didn't see the rocket fired, just being brought out amidst the rapid shifting of their awesome driver. (Seriously. That's the guy I'd want driving if I was in that sort of situation.) So if it was, assume that Rachele was using the often-tried Macross Saga shoot-the-missile-down-with-gunpod-slugs tactic with some of those shots.
Night!

Hey, Miss Rivers/Miss Ai Leen...
Is this bounty hunt for Vic open to everyone, or is it just for the Space Elf?
Just wondering, because I have my "Ex-Soldier now a bounty hunter" character out in Gaia... ninja

Everyone has seen it, I think. It was primarily intended for Lindy's character, to give her a jump in point in the thread with her altered background. Doesn't mean she can't grab a bit of competition though. 3nodding Also, when you guys can, give this thread a bump: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24883627
