"Thank you, Jack." She muttered weakly, lying limp in his arms. She had been out in the cold without much food or shelter of any form for a long time. Since the apartment were bombed. Takiko's cheeks were red like a cherry and her skin was hot to the touch.

"Jesus, you're burning up!"
Jack carried her into a bedroom and lied her on the bed. He grunted as he did so. She seemed somewhat heavy because of her being limp. He began to notice she was rather red. He groaned quietly, notcing she was definitely sick. She grabbed the covers, pulled them out, and then gently covered Takiko. She groaned silently as she seemed to embrace them.
"Hold on, I'll be right back."

Takiko was close to falling asleep once she was placed in the bed. It was then that she realized that something was wrong. Takiko felt lie everything was ice cold, even though she was covered in blankets. Even her sweat felt cold. Yet she could not understand why she was even sweating, it was so cold.

Jack walked in with some pills and water. He noticed Takiko shaking. His eyes narrowed with some confusion. He knelt next to her and showed her the tablets.
"Ibuprofen. Pain reliever and fever and cold medication. This might help. Er... are you cold? I can get you another blanket or something."

"N-no... I'm fine." Takiko hated lying to her friends. But she did not want him to worry about her. She felt like her skin was ice. Takiko closed her eyes and tried to calm down. she tried her hardest not to shiver, nothing she did helped. This is what she got for staying in the cold for so long. Then she remembered something. Why she was sick. Takio had not had a drop of fresh blood in almost over a month.

"Takiko... I know you're lying," he said with concern. "Please... just tell me... don't worry me."
He took out the pills and handed them to her along with the water. She slowly drank them down. Jack stared at her, worried completely about.
"Look... just tell me what's wrong. I want to help you."

After Takiko took a sip of the water, as she swallowed the pills, she decided to tell him the truth. Takiko felt disgusted with herself. She had been so infatuated with John, she had completly forgotten about herself. "I.. I just haven't had much blood lately.. It's probably nothing though..."Even with the rather short sentence, she seemed completly out of breath. Which was unusual. It seemed she only was getting worse.

"Damn it..."
Jack looked around. He then looked back at Takiko. He pulled back his sleeve from his coat and held it out towards Takiko. He gave her a look signaling that it was okay. His guess would be that she would resist.
"Don't worry... I've done this plenty of times. There were moments I had to help Astarte and Morbidea."
He thought back to them. He remembered Morbidea dying... he flipped. As for Astarte... he hadn't seen her for a long time. As far as he knew, she was gone.

Takiko looked away from him when he mentioned Astarted and Morbidea. After Morbidea's death, Takiko had found out she had been betrayed by her. Many times. Astarte was the same. Takiko was actually kinda glad Morbidea was dead, she hoped Astarte was the same. It was clear Takiko had conflict with Morbidea and Astarte, since she now refused even more than before. "Eh.. It's all right. I'll be fine."

"Please... they're both gone. I don't want anything to happen to you as well."
Jack gave her a pleading look. His eyes were tense, sensing something was wrong. He was desperate.
"Just do it for me..."

Takiko looked into his eyes, as if reading any emotions she could. All she could sense was concern. Which was something she did not want. Someone to care. It took all of her fleeting strength to push herself so she was now sitting. A smirk spread across her lips. "We're the last ones, aren't we?... Tenkai and his family is dead... Morbidea is dead... For what I know, Deo is dead... Angel has been dead for a long time along with Shadow... Astarte, I think she is too... William. He's gone as well... It's just you an me." The images of her lost friends appeared before her eyes as she named them. All of the were once happy in the warehouse. All together. Now look. It was only Takiko and Jack. and Takiko probably would not be able to hang on much longer. With hunters and lycans wanting her head every step she took, and now this problem.

"Yeah... I guess... maybe a couple others... but still, in odd couple eh?" he asked with a laugh. "A 'hunter' and a vampire. I have too much of a conscience to do my job."
Jack chuckled weakly. He still had his arm stretched out.
"Look... I'm not going to die. Fate won't let me. Some of the times, as much as I wanted it, it wouldn't come. I'm not going to let you die til the day I die. Now please... just take the blood."

"No." Once again, Takiko protested. "I'll drain you dry. Even if you don't want me to die, I don't want you to die either. Especially not at my hands." The shivering came back only moments after she stopped speaking. Causing an irrateted sigh to come from her rose red lips. Right when she thought she was getting better she starts to feel freezing again.

Jack goaned loudly. He looked around. He then looked back at Takiko.
"Hold on... let me see if I have any blood packets left."
Jack stood up and walked out of the room. He walked into the kitchen and began to search around, hoping to find a pack for Takiko. He knew she needed it badly.

Takiko decided to become more comfortable. Hoping that she could warm up easier when she is lying down. So she did, covering the blankets past her shoulders. It did not make much of a diffrence. but she did relax easier and was able to save her strength. Before Takiko could tell what happened, she fell asleep.
