True, true.
Huh. Well, maybe since my bus driver drove one of those short buses... sooo...

Why were you on a short bus?

'Cause I was part of a group of kids who lived out of the normal "zone" for the school I attended. We got transferred to a school that was farther away than the school we would have attended, so the school offered us our own short bus.

Huh, I've never heard of schools doing that before. I thought you'd be within a school's range where ever you live.

Well, it was all part of this stupid program. And they made it so that only one school can host it.

Was this like experimental education or something?

Hah? "Experimental"? O_o
Well, it was essentially the gifted program (ahem, "gifted"). It was supposed to be one step higher than honors classes. And since it was more selective rolleyes , they figured the students who got in would be small enough to fit in at just one school.

Nah, not really. The only intense year was 8th grade, but that was more because we finally got decent teachers who pushed us hard in the core subjects.
If you think of it this way - honors classes are like going one year up, and PI+ was like going two years up.
But it wasn't necessarily "harder." What was different was that the teachers just expected you to know more stuff. So a bunch of the PI+ teachers actually sucked, because all they had to do was assign us a bunch of stuff to do and left us to it. Which wasn't always a good thing.
[deletes moping rant] Lets just say that I didn't really enjoy my time in that isolated clique of socially-inept and grades-obsessed nerds.

So does that make high school any easier for you?
Those nerds make me feel bad about getting an A-.

It did make freshman year a total breeze. Loved freshman year.
Sophomore year almost killed me the first semester though.
I know, I hate it when they do that! D<

My freshman year was alright. I think Sophomore year is going to be better though.
And then there are those people who are all excited about getting a C and then when they ask me what I got I just say A and then run away.

I find those situations awkward .__."
Like one time, I saw a pair of freshman high-fiving each other and squealing over getting a D+ on their paper. Or maybe it was a case of extreme sarcasm.
