Kirra smiled as she started walking, pulling Alexa along, ready to pull her into her arms at a moments notice.
Arashi scowled at the two people, trying to decide wether to go around them or go kill them.

Aura watched her father for a minute or two, then did as she was told. She opened the door and glanced in at her mother, very carefully not looking at anyone else. "Dad says he's got cleanup to do. He'll come in when he's done."
Engela frowned. "Of all the ridiculous..." she muttered. "He's already worn himself down. He'll never learn." Sighing, she got to her feet. "I suppose I'd best help or he'll be out there all night." She left the house and joined Mathias's efforts without a word.
Aura stood aside to let her mother pass, then came in. Taking her mother's vacated chair, she rested her cheek on one hand and stared absently at the door.

Alexa's easy stride kept her from having to be pulled along too fast, thankfully. She'd always been rather a fast mover, even if her speed was nothing compared to Kirra's run.

Kirra looked up and saw the people on the hill, she frowned slightly but didn't stop, if they were hostile then she would be able to kill them easily.
Lord Karshenak sat upon his throne, carved from the skull of an elephant, something that had tusks and looked intimidating, when they were bones, but not so intimidating when they were living. He relaxed slightly as the doors to the throne room opened and a lone messenger entered, having been sent from the kingdom to the north once they had found out about him a year ago. The messenger walked up to the throne, his entire body shaking from fear as he bowed low to Karshenak and said, "M-m-m-m-my l-lord, I-i c-come b-b-bearing a m-m-m-message f-from the k-kingdmon to the n-n-north, asking ab-bout your int-t-tentions, h-here."
Karshenak looked down at the messenger and said, "My intentions are to accumulate enough souls to return to hell and destroy the King of Hell, and you're just one more soul in that quota." He then stood and grabbed his sword, which was leaning against the side of his throne, then he cut the messenger in half, feeling the soul of the messenger flow into his sword and body, it was a weak soul, but it helped nonetheless.

Mathias smelled his wife helping him and ran to her side. Standing over her, he growled. "What are you doing, my dear? I can handle this." He smiled and stepped between her and the bodies, staring at her lovingly.
Artemis tossed and turned a little, shaking in his sleep.

"Don't even try it," replied Engela, visibly irritated. "We've been married for twenty years - do you think I can't feel it when you're running low?" She shook her head. "Mathias, it won't kill you to let me help you once in a while."
Aura rose from her chair. Glancing at Einon as though mildly surprised that he hadn't already done it, she went to Artemis and laid a cool hand on his forehead. "Sleep," she said softly. It wouldn't do much since he was already asleep, but it would quiet him while the wound finished healing.
((OOC: Generic post indicating that Alexa stays with Kirra and is not interested in the people on the hill.))

Naomi chuckled. "Regardless of the number of times he has tried to put a stop on my petty fires, I wouldn't be happy to see that something bad had happened."

Mathias was tempted to try and stop her. He always enjoyed their little spars. But she was right. Saving the boy as well as fighting his former general and the army had drained Mathias. Twenty years ago, he'd still be running at full power. But now...he felt strained. Walking right up to her, he hugs her and kisses your lips gently. "Very well my dear, I accept your help." He let go of her and smiled, stepping back and finishing up the clean-up.
When Artemis started shaking, Einon was about to move to help. But glancing over at his sister, he had an idea. He didn''t move, his eyes closing in a flash as if he was meditating.
Artemis was shaking more and more. When Aura's hand made contact with his forehead though, his entire body relaxed and an almost angelic glow pulsed around his body, stronger where Aura's fingers were and radiating across his flesh.

Engela lifted a brow faintly. "You say that as though you had a choice," she replied, softening a little. She didn't like to admit it, but she worried. At least it wasn't a mutual thing - she knew that he had to know she was rather tired, too, but apparently he trusted her to know her limits.
Calmly, she returned to clean-up.
Aura watched Artemis expressionlessly for a few minutes. As though satisfied, she drew back her hand quietly. But instead of returning to her seat, she sat on the arm of the couch, as though she wanted to be where she might be needed.

When Aura took her hand from Artemis's forehead, the glow disappeared and he started shaking again, more violently than before.

Aura's brow lifted slightly. She had expected the magic she'd put into it to last at least a few minutes before he needed another dose. Resigning herself to a long wait, she slid down to the couch, rested the boy's head gently on her lap and replaced her hand on his forehead. She closed her eyes, summoning the appropriate threads from the current she wanted. Then she allowed it to flow gently through her fingers and into him.

Once the last of the bodies were deep into the woods, Mathias gently pinned Engela against an oak tree and pressed against her, nuzzling her affectionately. "Have I told you lately how incredibly sexy you are, my dear?" Hissing low and seductively, Mathias kisses Engela deep and hard.

The moment Aura's hand made contact with his forehead, Artemis's shaking stopped. The glow resumed its place, his skin warm to the touch.

Engela's eyes widened slightly, then closed. "Not lately," she replied lightly. "I think we were slightly more concerned about war and other such trivial things." Smiling faintly, she added, "I'm beginning to see a trend here. What is it about battles that gets you all excited?"
Aura glanced at her brother, lifting a brow slightly. "I think he's trying to tell me something," she muttered. Idly, she wondered where her parents had gotten to. She hoped they came back soon - she had to ask her father what the hell was going on.
