Nometal went off a few spaces, and stopped laughing laughing.

Then, he went over to Ed and scratched her head with thanks.

The wolf wagged her tail, glad that she didn't make him mad. Her eyes spoke of, "You're welcome~" as she readjusted the ham-hock in her jaws.

Nils gazed enviously at Rei, Rhys, Amelia, Ed... everyone who had a present.
No matter how much he mentally chastised himself for being so childish, he couldn't shake the feeling of envy off.

More presents were stacked under the tree as Siegell emptied the sack. A box of exotic teas for Blossom were dropped right into her lap, all wrapped up with a bow on the top. Matching copies of Sun Tzu's The Art Of War were wrapped up for Aidan and Alihi, and a set of presentation tools including a pointy baton thing, a few laserpointers, a self-contained microphone and speaker set, and a few other things for Anna. Fiora got a Fili Shield, the Sorens got a pair of long, curved daggers, Ashnard even got a set of weights for working out! Renault was given a bottle of excellent bourbon, and NoMetal got a Wo Dao.
Siegell smiled at the array of gifts he had laid out, his bag now empty, and he turned, pausing to look at poor Nils. "... Oh! Oh my, how could I forget. Nils, I got you something special!" He reached into his coat and pulled out a gorgeous, shiny-black, brand-new flute. "I didn't want to put it in with the other presents, I didn't want to risk letting this get broken." He held it out to the little dragon bard, smiling.

Blossom squealed as Siegell dropped her present into her lap. "Ohh, yay!" she cried out, picking up the box. She pulled off the paper with a modicum of restraint, smiling wide at the teas inside. "Oooooooh... thank you!" Blossom studied the labels to see what flavors the teas were, sitting still on the floor.
Amelia smiled as he removed more presents from his bag, then removed Nils' new flute from his bag with a flourish. She kept her tsuba in her hand as she strolled over to Siegell, watching everyone open gifts with varying degrees of excitement.
"This really was nice of you, giving everyone all these things," she told him with a grin. "Didn't expect it from you, of all people, to be honest."

Nils gasped, staring at the flute with awe. "Wow..." A grin grew on his face, and he took the flute in his hand, rotating it and watching it shine in the light. It made his old flute look dull. The bard looked back at Siegell.
"Thank you, Siegell!" He hugged Siegell tightly.

Siegell laughed, gently patting Nils on the head and shrugging at Amelia. "Well, I'm making up for a lot, you know? I'm trying to show you guys I mean well." he chuckled softly, letting Nils run back and scratching the back of his neck. "As much as I'd like to stick around a while, I really need to head out. Got some bandits to go lay some smackdown on." He gave Amelia a quick little hug, smiling. "You keep an eye on Rhys, now. Make sure he stays out of trouble." He winked, stepping back to the door and waving to the rest of the room.
"Merry Rhysmas!" he called as he opened the door and stepped out, snickering and running to Shastah before he climbed into the saddle.
Seconds later, they were soaring through the sky. Siegell cackled. All the work he put in was so worth the looks on their faces the next time they'd see him.

Sheathing the Wo Dao, Nometal just sat in an area watching the others be with themselves.

Nils grinned, still staring at the flute. He waved to Siegell as he departed, then turned his attention back to the group (and his new flute).
"... D-do you guys mind if I play this now? I want to hear how it sounds..."

Amelia nodded. She watched Nils hug Siegell and giggled. "Yeah... I can see that. Giving people gifts was a good way to convince them of that." She laughed again, smiling. She twirled the tsuba in her fingers. People were greedy, as much as they pretended not to be, after all; giving someone things was the best way to get to their good side.
"All right. Kick some a**," she told him, chuckling. She returned Siegell's hug, though at the wink, she felt her face turn pink. "R-Right!" She stammered. She watched him run out the house, disappearing from sight.
"Impressive reform," she murmured, content. She went over to find Rhys, coming behind him and resting her chin on his shoulder. "So... a Guiding Ring, huh?" she questioned casually.

Ed grinned as the wyvern rider left them, oblivious to whatever he was up to.
She barked excitedly in agreement that Nils should test this new flute out, then dragged her ham-hock to under the tree. She sat there, chewing away while she looked at the other presents. Everyone should be happy with their presents! Even if she couldn't see through wrapping, they looked cool. She would wait here and see the expression on everyone's faces.
It made her happy that everyone had decided to stay and that now they were all getting presents. So she wanted to see that. She wanted to see how they reacted when they realized what they could have missed out on if they left.
But she didn't think that. All she thought was that people would be happy.

Rhys saw Amelia come over and smiled, turning to plant a kiss on her forehead. "Yes, I'm... really surprised to get this. I'm happy, but also surprised. I mean, look where it came from. We've received help from where we didn't expect it."

Amelia smiled, angling her head a little for the kiss. Her cheeks turned pink, but she didn't really mind it. "Yeah. Siegell's reformed and gone the way of the good. It's almost tear-jerking, heart-wrenching... the bad guy turns good just in time to help Good and celebrate when everything turns out all right." Amelia giggled and rested against Rhys' side, leaning her head on his shoulder. "When do you plan on using that Ring? I'm sure you're strong enough to unleash it now."

Sue, looking at some of her presents picked on up in surprise. It had her name on it and from... "Father?"
Victoria sighed. "I didn't get any..." She then gave a surprised gaze herself, as she saw all these letters dropped by in her name. When she opened them, she realized these were all small cards, with notes inside from the people she helped as a missionary. She held one close to her heart, one that was from a child she had helped... with a simple restore staff. "I never realized... how grateful they were... even if I am to stay here, I will continue to help the poor..."

Melethia had a big smile as she looked at the new robes. She then saw the card, asking for her to forgive Siegell. He managed to explain himself, so she forgave him.
"Go ahead and play your new flute Nils." She said.
