((sorry, I've had writer's block. I'm not sure what kind of questions I'm supposed to be asking XP))

"Do you own this place?" Esther asked curiously, looking around. It obviously hadn't been lived in for a long time, if ever. The dust tickled her nose, causing her to sneeze a few times. She waited a second to make sure she wouldn't sneeze again before pulling out the folder again.

"Where in Australia do you suppose we're going?" she mused, flipping through the papers again. Even if they were just here to clean up a bit so they didn't look like they had just escaped an explosion, she figured it wouldn't hurt to plan their next move a little.

[[I got my internet cut, so maybe we're even?]]

"Rent it. I'm not here a lot, obviously, so I wouldn't put down the money to buy it." She answered curtly. If she had more time, the perfectionist side of her would allow her a few hours to make everything spotless, but she had no time. "Probably somewhere in the outback, where nobody knows about or could ever find the substance without sufficient prior knowledge." Liesel finished that sentence by stepping out of the room in another, and promptly shut the door.

When she came out of the room again, it was as if Liesel had never existed. She was replaced with a freckled red-head with coral lipstick, too much blush and a lot of mascara all wrapped up in denim and a peacoat. Gone were the stark blue eyes, replaced by hazel.

"Unfortunately, we'll probably still have to do a fair bit of snooping around." She was still putting on the final touches to her new face as she was saying that.

Kurtis wished his storyline had anywhere to go.

McMullard desired a very similar thing.

((Sure))

"Oh fun..." Esther sighed heavily, just thinking about wandering around the Australian outback looking for space goo.

She glanced up again when Liesel came out of the other room, and froze. She didn't recall there being another person in here a few minutes ago. It took her a moment to realize, that the woman actually was her partner, as impossible as it seemed. But looking closely enough, she supposed it was almost obvious, but only because she knew they were the same person. Someone who had no idea would likely never guess.

"It looks like you're fully stocked for not coming here that often. Do you usually use that disguise here?" she mused aloud, as she eyed the red-hair. Esther herself was still a bit of a mess, but she doubted there was time to fix that. She would have to settle for wiping off her face with a clean tissue in her pocket, and untieing her hair so that it would look like it's supposed to be messy.

[[Dammit Joe give me a specific city, I don't wanna make stuff up about a country I know nothing about D: ]]

Liesel couldn't help but feel pleased at Esther's expression. Perfect. Nothing like an untrained eye to determine weather or not you were recognizable. Besides, somebody with skin paled from the ice of Russia and eyes as notable as a big red sign had to put in a little extra to fit in.

"I don't usually do work in America, but I always come here every once in a while for a new assignment, updates. All of my safe houses are stocked with make-up and wigs anyway, you never know when you'll need them." The longest sentence she'd said to her partner thus far. Liesel silently appraised Esther and sighed a little. She reached into her coat and pulled out a small make-up kit, tossing it to her partner, as well as a small collapsible comb.

"I hope you can apply it during the taxi ride."

The two government agents were headed to the city of Brisbane, on the mainland of Australia.

McMullard and St. Cyrill awoke in the forest. A huge plume of smoke was rising about a mile away, identifying the crash site.

Tiki and Xander worked out a deal with the scientist in which he would acquire them disguises if they agreed to get him out of the facilities. He went off, and the two mercenaries settled in to wait.

Kurtis and Connor made it up the slope to a hidden entrance to the facility just before nightfall. "Next move?" Connor asked.

Xander sighed and look to Tiki, "Shouldn't one of us have followed him?"

"We are in America, yes?" McMullard inquired.

Tiki shook his head. Xander realized that that would defeat the purpose of sending him to go get disguises.

As Richard spoke, there was a deafening boom through the trees. Richard's mind would have thought that it was the helicopter blowing up in the distance, if his mind had had enough time even begin that thought. Instead, the boom turned out to be a gun, and it was a damn good thing they were in a forest and still relatively close to the ground. Otherwise, Richard might have lost his face instead of taking a glancing blow across the shoulder from a buckshot.
Richard realized he should no longer take silly risks or make stupid remarks.
St. Cyrill grabbed him and pulled him down, drawing his sidearm and looking for a target. "Can you teleport out of here? Flank them?"

The facility's security systems activated at night. They needed a way in within the next ten minutes, or they were stuck outside.

"Well, we'd best break back in first. Any suggestions?" Kurtis asked.

Richard twisted in pain, grunted, and nodded. Hopefully it would work. He tucked and rolled, coming up to the side of... whoever, and preparing to put them down with a focused burst of auto fire from the G36.

Richard failed, because he did not meet the condition of his power: to be running full-tilt.
PostPosted: Wed Apr 29, 2009 9:04 pm

Well, flopped on the ground was okay. He pushed himself a little and let off a burst in the direction the fire had come from as he stood back up to work it out properly.

Fortunately, this realization was no realization at all.

"He's gonna stab us in the back."
