Tim smiled at Nightshade and looked between the other two set for Gotham.
"Looks like we're ready now, Des."
He called in really quickly on the comm.
"Good luck, everyone. Oracle- RC, Batgirl and I are heading out for Gotham."
Tim paused and looked up again. Conner was clearly ready to get rolling again.

Jinx leaned in toward Tim's ear and whispered, "Aren't we going to go after Star?"
Rogue walked up toward Konner, looking him directly in his blue eyes. Then, she tucked a card in Superboy's jeans front pocket and whispered to him, "Ya can call meh anytime, Kansas. It'll be fun ta fly with ya. You take care of yaself, Sugah."

Tim looked at Jinx... everything in his expression said he wanted to help.
"I know... but if I go, I'll only be endangering her. Fatigue's getting the better of me."
He wasn't Bruce... he knew when he had to take a break, even though it hurt not to help.
"Maybe... we could wait to go back to Gotham if you can still help."
Kon looked down at his pocket and pulled out the card to look at it.
"You know... I was kinda hoping to stick around here for a bit..."
Superboy looked up at Rogue. True he had places to check, but his ability of flight allowed him easy travel.

Konner could see on the card a lipstick inpression of Rogue's lips on the card beside a written cellphone number. Rogue's smile widened slightly, "Sugah, you can stay at long as you want. Anythin I can help with?"
Jinx put her hand on Tim's shoulder, "Get your rest, I'll go. I'm keeping my promises."

Still sobbing, X23 looked up at Wolverine, tears falling freely down her face. "I-I have... n-nothing..." she whimpered. "N-no life... f-family... f-friends... nothing e-except what t-they gave me..." And she extended her claws-- all of them, looking at them with an expression that had too many conflicted emotions in it to be described properly.
"Th-they made m-me what... w-what I am..." she hiccuped, before retracting her claws. "M-made me... into a w-weapon..."

Oracle's voice chirped on the comms, "Hey, I think we have some company on the grounds. Anybody know who they are?"

Tim sent Jinx a smile and placed his hand over hers that was set on his shoulder.
"Ok. Be careful out there."
He didn't have to say it, but he knew it was always good to hear.
Conner looked at the card a moment and looked back up at Rogue.... slowly things started to click in his head as he scratched the back of his neck.
"Oh.......oh."
From that point Superboy started kicking himself mentally, even as Oracle drew their attention.

Jinx's eyes moistened a little as she interlaced her fingers with Robin's, "You bet I will. We'll get through this, I promise, and I'll find Star."
Rogue moved a little closer to Superboy, looking up at him with bright green eyes, "It'll be nice to have ya around. We'll be fixin the mansion back up from scratch, and we'd appreciate another hand."

Tim nodded and looked down at the mask in his hands.
"Kai, we should get in civvies... Alfred was checked into the hospital the right way, so we just need to say we're friends at the front desk."
Conner blinked and froze.
"Ah... uh, yeah. Yeah, I could help."
Now he felt like an idiot. Why didn't he see it before?
"Um- it was nice to fight with you- I mean... next to you-"
(Yay! Rebuild, rebuild! Who doesn't like the Institute? - well, besides the people who leveled it-)

X23's sobs stopped abruptly. Her shaking stopped for a moment and then resumed-- this time in anger instead of sorrow. She looked up at Wolverine once more with those startlingly green eyes of hers, and she growled.
"I... am not... a CHILD!" she snarled at him, her face now contorted with anger. Why did people always say that? She had never been a child, had never had the opportunity to live a "normal" child's life-- she had been forced to skip over that part of her life, and hated it when someone dismissed her as a child...
X23 stood up, staring at Wolverine with anger in her eyes yet again. "I... am not a CHILD!!!!" she screamed out yet again, now extending her claws once more and attacking Wolverine with as much power and force as she could possibly muster-- slashing, punching, kicking, all of it.

Wolverine didn't retaliate after every hit all he did was stand up

He clenched his fists extending his claws atleast just to block her attacks

Kai said sarcastically. Of course it was meant to be a joke, since they would sneak through windows into the hospital to visit who ever was in there at the current time then leave the same way they came. She looked at Robin as he laced his hands with Batgirl.
"Anyway... I would say yes to civvies, except I don't have any..."
She remarked looking at Robin. She already had her mask off, and walking into a hospital with her tattered, slightly bloody costume would be bad.

The Gotham bird smiled as he looked up at RC. The right way...
"Well, this is a school... what's left of it at least."
They already had recieved civilian clothes from Xavier the last time they went out... the clothes Tim had used were still in a duffel bag under the rubble of Titans Tower in San Fransisco.
Another thought just visited him before he brought his comm to his face to speak.
"Hey, O... who did you say was out on the grounds?"
(oh, where is Prof. X, by the way? sweatdrop )
