Savage was awoken at the sensation of the door pushin into him. The great cat considered attaking it to teach it a lesson, completly oblivious that the door was not a living being, and infact acted much like a kitten, rolling on his side and batting at the door as it opened, closing it again, then batting it closed when it opened. To the tiger, it was a game. He wasn't even exposing his claws.

Once she heard the lazy beast on the other side of her door, Edith immediately rolled her eyes. No wonder her door would not open, the lazy seven-hundred-pound tiger was sitting in the front of her door. Even if she could have just pulled the door instead of pushed, she was Edith and Edith liked things her way. She put actual strength into opening the door and she managed to open the door by pushing it against the tiger and sliding him out of the way. "My God," Edith said, finally getting outside of her room, "you are a heavy and lazy tiger."
Midnight, being in her arms, narrowed her eyes at the huge feline. She well-remembered the cat that had taken away her mistress' attention. Attention that should have been hers, attention that she assumed she had a right to. Yes, she certainly had gotten comfortable with being spoiled after being on the streets with abusive children.
Kyley came out of the room, took one look at Savage and hid behind Edith, beginning to cry, clutching Edith's leg tightly. "Auntie," she said, pointing to the tiger, "it's going to eat us. I'm scared!"

Savage's ears perked up as Edith came out the door, with a small cat and a smaller human. He tilted his head questioningly, then walked up to the small one, after smelling her, he then gently licked the little girl's hand, then sat down, inviting the girl to pet him, while staring at the kitten, as if daring midnight to do something. Savage was full of energy after having slept almost an entire day, and wanted to go hunt with his master, but his master's scent kept appearing and dissapearing periodicaly.

Oh God yes, Savage's dare had worked. No matter how small she actually was, Midnight saw herself as a giant, as some invincible thing that could not be harmed nor destroyed though she knew better as she had been abused. She pounced from Edith's arms, clawing Edith's flesh on her arms, drawing blood even. The black kitten was then brutally batting at Savage's face, random places, no where specific.
Kyley had become more frightened but when Savage had lain down in front of her, she made her way to get a little closer to him. When he was laying down Kyley seemed to be a little less afraid of him. However, she soon ran back behind Edith when Midnight went on her small little rampage.
"Mids! Get off Savage!" Edith roared, trying desperately to get her cat off of the poor tiger. He had just had to stare at Midnight and Midnight had just had to take the bait. The small black kitten had never liked it when people stared at her, it seemed to make her go insane. Edith had stared at her once and Midnight had pounced on her as well, while she had been drinking coffee of all things.

Savage would have laughed, had it been possible, at the sight of the cat attacking him. The kitten's claws weren't even strong enough to break through his skin, although it was annoying. The great cat stood up, and coughed out a hairball, aiming it so it landed on midnight. Strangely enough, Savage had no intention of coughing up the hairball, or hitting midnight with it, it was just something that happened.
If a cat could have looked sheepish, Savage would have. The tiger grabbed the hairball with it's teeth, and ran into Edith's room, dropping it into a garbage, and going back out, to sit beside Edith, nudging her leg with his head.

Edith was greatful that Savage was so tolerant of her feisty cat/kitten and that he had not decided that she would be much better off as a meal than as a pesky little black furball. However, when the furball landed square on Midnight's back, she could not help but burst out into laughter, if Midnight could have, she would have looked absolutely shocked and disgusted. "Wow," Edith said, having picked up Kyley as she had felt unsafe, "that was some hairball there tiger." When Savage nudged her leg she looked down at the tiger and said, "What? What do you want there tiger?"

If Savage could talk, he would have asked where Tokeru was, but he could not, and so he did his best to ask.
Savage stood up on all four legs, and pretended to attack a vampire, then turned to Edith and tilted his head.

As much as Edith loved animals, she sucked a sharades and when Savage made his little performance she did not understand at all what he was wanting, meaning, or asking. She looked really confused and watched the tiger as he then tilted his head. Actually, she wanted to do that too, to show just how lost and confused she was by the tiger's actions. It was not only her who did not understand the tiger but Kyley as well though the four-year-old had laughed at the tiger, pointing at him as Edith held her.
Midnight, however, knew exactly what Savage wanted and yet the spoiled kitten had much too much pride to make her mistress understand. She had only had a few months experience and yet she had become a quick expert at getting exactly what she wanted. Sometimes it took a few times but usually, Edith knew what she wanted and did the right thing.

Savage shook himself, and tried to communicate what he wanted again. The great cat lept into the air, and imitated someone flying, for a few seconds at least, untill he landed on the ground, at which point he then walked to Edith and pushed her gently, his nose in the small of her back. Trying to get her to lead him to Tokeru.

Edith still did not understand what Savage wanted, however, when her cat/kitten bolted off because the kitten had gotten tired of watching the tiger's impersonations of his own master, she hastily followed after her, Kyley still held securely in her arms. "Mids! Come back! You're gonna get me lost! You're gonna get yourself lost!" She could see that so far, the kitten was headed for the infirmary but there were turns that the kitten could take along the way, she just hoped that Midnight stuck to the main corridor.

Savage stood in confusion as they just ran off, without a word to him. The tiger considered sulking in the hallway untill they came back, but then realized where they were going. They were going to see his master, and so Savage ran off after them.
Meanwhile in the infirmary.
Tokeru sat and watched the child, happy that his life signs were stable, although the child was showing no sign of waking up any time soon. He assumed the child would be scared waking up in a strange place, but then again, Tokeru looked like an angel, even if he was a fallen one, and he hoped the child would take comfort in that. He reached over and grabbed the small hand, maybe half the size of his, and marvelled at how warm it was.
"My body has never given off this much heat, it must be a good sign, or else a bad one."
he would have asked the doctors had they remained, but they had other patients to look after, and more important jobs to do and had long since left, leaving Tokeru to watch after the child.

Edith rushed into the infirmary after her kitten whom had been heading straight for.... "Tokeru?" she asked in confusion, managing to bring herself to a halt before she crashed into anything or anyone. "Who's the kid? What happened to him?" She herself was holding a kid, Kyley, whom was looking at the ten-year-old, a concerned look upon her face as her Godmother asked what was wrong with the child in bed.

Tokeru barely looked up fast enough to register Edith being there. He controlled himself, and spat out one word. "Draegan"
He clenched his right fist, as his left was holding the child's hand. "It was Draegan."
Meanwhile, Savage barreled into the room, zooming past Edith, then stopping just short of the bed, staring quizzically at the child.

Edith really did not know how to comfort Tokeru and there was not much that she could do when Kyley was in her arms and she was searching for her kitten/cat. "What's he done now? Gone and raped a kid?" For all she knew, he had, though it was a sort of sick and twisted joke. She decided that she would try comforting him by letting him know she was there, waiting there with him for the kid to wake up.
The vampiress knelt down beside Tokeru, Kyley still wrapped firmly in one arm whilst she put her other hand on Tokeru's, squeezing it to let him know she was there. "You have to hang in there," Edith said firmly to Tokeru, "you can't let him get to you so badly. I know he's a ******** up guy and that he killed your family but don't go beating yourself up for it."

Tokeru barely felt Edith's hand on his. "He invented a goddamn growth spurt drug. It aged this child into an adult. He can artificially age people now. Who'se to say that those clones he made of me weren't little children just a few days ago. He's turning children into killing machines, without even needing them to stay children. If he can age people, who'se to say he can't do the reverse, and make a literal fountain of youth. He might decide to reverse his age, and make himself stronger than he is now."
Tokeru fought back the frustration and rage that was brimming inside of him. His eyes were watering. "Who'se to say that he won't make everyone I know, age in front of my eyes, so that I can watch them die before their time."
He looked at Edith. "Who'se to say he won't do that to you."
