She smiled and nodded "I am alright with a sword" she said as she slowly walked out the door. She sighed as she made her way back to Tori's abode.

Tori was waiting for her.
"I see you found it." she said with a chuckle. "Here." she took it off her hands, then put it on. "There's anothert thing I need you to do. This is more of a test, than a task... but it's also nessecary. My student, also known as the Good Doctor, set his lab in the remains of the Faction base. After Papyrus killed him, he left behind numerous important articles and documents. I need you to find one named 'Project Arrowhead' and return it to me quickly. If anything gets in your way, kill it."

Serenity smiled softly "Okay" she said. She turned and left Tori's house and headed for the remains of the Faction base. She sighed as she left the city and pulled out her sword. Holding on to the hilt tightly she headed out on her journey.

Cat smiled happily. "Mozzarella sticks it is then." Her smiled stayed as she barely made out what it was he said under his breath. "Thats hard to say at the moment." she answered. She stirred the pink lemonade a bit. "If I do like you, then I have a problem because, as you know, I have a boyfriend." She paused. "And since honesty is a big policy of mine, I'd have to tell Justyn that I liked you."

"Oh, well...I wouldn't object to it, but won't he have to return first? I know you said he was out, or something, gone, somewhere. I do hope he wouldn't be offended, it would be a shame if you started liking a cute young stud like me and couldn't do anything about it just because of some older boyfriend." He commented older in a way to actually imply his own age as young, when really he meant chronologically as far as her boyfriends went, that Justyn was a previous boyfriend. The slyness never stopped with him, and even if Cat caught on to any of it, she couldn't possibly think someone so young could keep up such a smooth and flawless front. Or could she? But no matter, he was really hard to detect in his matters, except after he would decide to reveal everything. That's when things were obvious. But now he hid behind his smile: His very convincing smile that always covered up his real personality. He was such a great actor...
((Friends, sorry for my absence. I was honoring a good friend of mine who committed suicide a year ago yesterday, and also had to work late. You'll also notice I'm trying to improve upon grammer even when in OOC now, as it should be. Raem, if you read this, I would encourage you to do this as well. I forget who else...))

[[Yeah. Same here...He was my best friend.]]
Justyn wandered a bit around in the bushes and trees near the restaurant, careful to steer clear the windows. Two familiar scents were there. It was nagging at him where he had recognized the scent, ever since he met Charles. And of course, the other was Cat. He continued on, passing right by, still unseen, still avoiding the windows.

((Thats really nice of you two.))

Cat sipped at her Lemonade, which was really tasty. "I could always try calling him. He does have a cellphone." She kept her eyes on the ice cubes in her glass. "Lies make me nervous so I'll probably have to call him when I get home tonight." She was trying to make it obvious that she didn't like dishonesty, but in a casual manner. He wasn't the only actor at teh table after all. Cat had been working as a delivery person for HEC for a few years now, picking up packages and dropping them off at Faction HQ for awhile and still getting them to their drop point with out so much as breaking a sweat. She took another sip of her lemonade, figuring it bes to just ask straight out. "Whats your policy on honesty?"
PostPosted: Tue Apr 29, 2008 5:45 pm

"Hmm...Cell phones are tricky. If he has it off you will never reach him, especially if he's busy. If he doesn't have it on he will not stop to think to turn it on, or especially a dead battery." He gave an indicating frowning face in almost a joking manner. Saying it, but not trying to be wholly negative about it, almost.

He was waiting for her to ask his policy on honesty. After all, he had made sure not to tell a complete lie to her, because those could be seen right through sometimes despite the utter effort put into convincing the other person. By telling it in a way that wasn't entirely false, he was always spared the one tiny detail. "Well of course I would respect honesty, but there are just those times that lying could save your life...Can't exactly say that it's for the better, that is, to just save your own behind. A prisoner, for example...if he's tortured, he may be spared to say the plans of his team, however it's a serious blow to the team, whereas also if he lies about the plans, maybe he buys himself enough time to be rescued without telling them anything. And as a third option, lies and tells them he knows nothing. Usually they're killed rather than even attempting torture, to which they eventually may be tempted to crack, but a small sacrifice for the team. However, I'm still not saying any scenario is right, it's a catch-22, much like all situations that envoke lying."

True enough: Most. Not the case here, though. His intentions to draw out feelings of liking him did not have anything to do with hurting the Faction, or Justyn, like most have thought. The fact that Justyn was her boyfriend was only revealed after he planned to date Cat.

Cat smirked. "Tell the Truth, but tell it slant. The Truth in circuit lies." She quoted, referring back to one of her favorite poets. "I'm not so sure about your scenario though. I've seen to many movies, and read to many books to see someone thats been tortured for information being let go or let live longer then they are needed. I can honestly say that if I were put in that scenario I would keep my mouth shut." By this time her lemonade was gone.
PostPosted: Tue Apr 29, 2008 8:39 pm

"Well, I guess it's not so much that, but a case of would you rather them keep torturing you, or offer a swift, painless death? And you might never know. How can you tell what you would do in a situation you've never been in? To be honest, I would probably spill under enough pressure. There's where I'll never lie. I won't say I'm tough enough to take it. I guess that's why I wouldn't lie if they tortured me...It's sad how weak some people can be, especially when you realize you mean yourself." He took a deep sigh in sadness. Or at least that's what it looked like. "But there's alternatives to such cases. Like myself, I just make sure that I don't know anything, I tell them don't let me know what's going on, don't let me know what you're doing that I don't already know. Basically that keeps me safe as well as them, because then when asked what do I know, I can honestly say 'nothing,' whatever consequences it brings."

The waiter came by moments after he finished, holding a pitcher and the appetizer. "Refill?" he offered. They were good to spy that she was going to be done with it quickly, one of the reasons that it was such a great place to be, even for someone on a tight budget. The menus weren't all expensive stuff, but it had the best of it in addition, and the attire was lenient. It was unusual to have a bad crowd here. "Yes, I'll pay for it," added Rick. There were never rowdy drunks even, no rough boys, the talking was at a decent level. A suitable place, though probably not the best. If he took her to the best place, then she might inquire where all the money came from. "Are we ready to order?" asked the waiter in response. "Unless she objects, I think we'll just take a minute on the appetizers."

As Justyn's hunger finally kicked in, he began seeing the importance of humans. But it was because of humans that now most animals had a dependency on them. Justyn had tried eating one of his favorite foods earlier, though his memory didn't serve him well enough to remember what it was, and he couldn't eat. He found it tasted different then the first time he tried it. Was he sick? He felt fine enough, but usually when something tasted weird it was because of him being sick. Maybe it spoiled, he convinced himself. More and more as he sniffed things out and tried to eat, he found nothing was the same.

He didn't know it, but being genetically altered as a cat now, he lacked at least one of the two genes needed to taste 'sweet,' which shifted his whole choice in food. He was gradually wanting meat more and more. He was becoming desperate enough and hungry enough to where he thought he might attack a human. Instincts were overcoming him. He had no choice but to return to a place he knew he could feed himself. He took himself to a nearby place of flowing water for a drink. This was another first for him: standing on all fours and leaning into water to drink. At first he couldn't figure out how to lick the water. He just let his tongue slip in and out, but it wasn't satisfying him much.

More upon instinct, his tongue began curling backwards as it entered the water, and this way it was cupped, and brought the water in. This was much better, he was actually getting a good drink from this stream. A young teenager was crouched nearby soon, and immediately Justyn took notice, shocking the boy. Just was shocked, too, he didn't know how he was able to see him or hear. The wind carried his scent away. The kid wasn't that smart, but Justyn was. It was as if he could sense the kid, which was just way too weird for Justyn to grasp. But he was occupied drinking, and didn't pay much attention. The kid got closer slowly, and Justyn gave a few more glances. At the point he felt he was done, the kid was very close. Justyn turned and approached slowly as the kid had. The scared kid held out one hand, and Justyn could tell what his expectation was.

As a bit of an act, he sniffed the boy's hand. Next it was on top of his head, between his ears, rubbing back and forth. The affection made him happy, and he began a light purring. This stranger wasn't deserving of any more than that. It took him quite a while to notice the collar, also. He was a little dense. "Seggy? Siggy?" The boy struggled pronouncing Seigi. Seigi! It means Justice. That's the side I fight for, that's what I represent. Neither Faction nor Huxley would understand, but such atrocities as Huxley practices, they must be stopped. They're MURDERERS! Neutrality is important and ultimately right, but stopping evil is the current goal...b*****d HEC people... Justyn turned and left. His thoughts firmly overtook his instinct when he recalled the murders he witnessed. But now he was mad. He didn't mean to offend the boy, but he went off quickly and angrily.

Serenity ran as fast as she could. She ran down the streets not paying attention to what was going on around her. She had tears running down her cheeks as she stopped in front of Tori's. She stood there trying to catch her breath before she knocked on the door lightly.

Tori stood, opening the door. "Oh, my... You poor girl, come in here." she said softly, helping her in. "what happened back there?"

"Papyrus happened." Rik said, panting in the doorway. Now in proper light, he didn't look so horrible, merely... spiky. "Nearly killed us and her."

"My god... sit, both of you." Tori said, gesturing to the couch.

Serenity sat down on the couch and handed Tori the papers. After Tori had taken them she covered her face with her hands and all the suppressed grief and anger surfaced as she burst into tears. "I didn't fight I ran." she whispered.

Tori sat beside her.
"vengeance is not everything. you must take care, or be consumed by it."
"b*****d killed my brood brother." Rik said quietly. "He only knocked me out, but Tik..."
