Ugh, BEES! They freak me out too. I'd probably say nothing and back away but my eyes will widen and I'll probably become a super klutz just trying to avoid it xD. One landed on me before...D'= I cried and freaked out. Bees are SCARY!
But honey is yum...xD

I don't mind bees, they have never bothered me. Its just when they get agitated, that they scare me.
The really icky bug that bothers me. Is this, thing that looks like a centipede with tons of nasty long legs. They are super fast and really scary to see running toward you. *shivers*

... Well, out of arthropods, only centipedes and millipedes have more legs than insects and spiders (excluding crustaceans, though...). So, what you're describing is most likely some species of centipede or millipede. Unless you're describing a silverfish, which closely resembles a very short centipede, but is actually an insect. ... I happen to think silverfish are cute, for some reason (favorite insect, by the way... that or the assassin bug, which totally kicks a**... well... at least some species... others are really stupid and lame). Silverfish are so harmless... couldn't hurt you if they wanted to. A silverfishDon't ask me why I think they're cute (and cool), I have no idea. They're diet is made up of stuff like paper and cardboard, starchy things... They love the glue on the back of stamps and envelopes, and live in dark, damp places. ... I really, really like silverfish... ... I don't like centipedes, though, since all centipedes are predators, venomous, often incredibly fast, and may bite people. Although, I don't think there are any species with venom that is lethal to people (but they can be pretty painful), but some people can be allergic. Most don't even have fangs strong or long enough to pierce human skin. Millipedes are fine though. They all eat vegetation, and I'm pretty damn sure none of them can even bite people.

By the way, I bet what you're talking about is a house centipede, but I can't be sure.

heart ... Autumn leaves fall and are swept out of sight ...
Speaking of houses, I'm so annoyed with the houses I'm seeing in the House Arena.
I can't say any more than that here because I'm not allowed to swear. So I've sworn in my journal instead.
... So are the memories of love that we knew ... heart

I think, you're right it is some sort of centipede. The biggest I have seen is almost 7 and a half centimeters long, and they do have big fangs. *shivers again*

I guess my "kill all insects" attitude was fostered by this hot, humid climate where it seems all creepy-crawlies seem to thrive. The news warned of the swarming of termites during the full moon last week. They're drawn towards the lights of the cities. I can imagine the low-budget horror film now.
Normally, I'm a "live and let live" kind of girl, but I just have little tolerance with spiders and insects.
Has anyone ever had to deal with live bait on a fishing trip?

Worms I can handle on fishing trips...awww I miss fishing! Spiders...if they are far enough away from me they're usually safe. But they will die if too close! lol As for snakes...like Rattlesnakes around here....I see them..they DIE!! lol Cars work great for running them over.....shovels seem to just break.

Eww, I hate squishy, squirmy worms, but what I really can't stand to touch is the crickets. I seriously can't make myself touch one! I have grabbed frogs and even lizards from out of the house to be released back outside to do their best at eating all the insects they can; even saved a snake's life from all the manly men around here, because I knew it wasn't poisonous, but I can't handle a cricket. Is it true that in China, that they are considered good luck? Just one of those things in your house can drive you crazy at night!!!

I'm not scared of them, but if they come near I'll back away. Live bait? I don't really like fishing. I'm not patient x3 Yeah, crickets are EWWW. I also hate grasshoppers. They're so....grasshoppery! >O

As for worms, I like them. I think its because they look so harmless. I can't even go fishing, I just can't bear hurting the worms anymore. I know its kinda silly but....

Yeah... millipedes don't have fangs. They eat vegetation... usually decomposing vegetation. (I've been bitten by a grasshopper before... It was like getting pinched in a mini-vice... stupid plant-crushing mandibles...)
And as for live bait, I don't like to use live bait... Although, I suppose I could fish with worms, as I have no problem touching them. Crickets either. However, it makes me think I'm being cruel to something that can't fight back... which I don't like. However... while worms ad cricket register damage, I'm not so sure if it's pain... I guess it is, but I doubt it's as severe as something with a complx nervous system experiences. You kind of have to understand the way their nervous system works. They don't have brains, and are incapable of thought. They are powered by ganglion (more than one, for some bugs...), bundles of nerve cells. Pretty much all their "intelligence" is is just reflexes and instinct.
However, I don't like to fish with minnows, though, as that seriously makes me sad... Stabbing a hook through their back and making them feel pain as you throw them into the water to either die by being eaten by a bigger fish, or to die even if they managed to somehow escape. For some reason, I like fish (Chain thinks fish are "cute"). I don't even like to eat them, although I know I could if I had too.
... I guess I just don't think it's fair, although I fully understand the necessity of it. Although, you could just as easily catch fish without using live bait, so I don't really see the logic in it. Not like animal testing and things, which I somewhat support. I dunno... I have somewhat conflicting stances on certain issues. Intellectually, I know that in order for any progress to be made, something somewhere has to suffer, and it's probably better that it be an animal that could never change the direction of the world, rather than a person who, despite the unlikelihood, has that ability. However, as far as morality is concerned... the suffering of anything for the betterment of something else is immoral. However... I believe that for the sake of progress, some immorality must be endured. It's choosing how much morality to sacrifice to further ourselves as a species while maintaining our humanity that's the difficult part...
Eh, I've probably talked too much, though. I guess if I were to put my stance into a phrase: Although animals (and in certain circumstances, people) may be tools, you still shouldn't abuse any tool you have, because an abused tool will eventually break, and when you need to fix something the most, you may find out that all you have left are broken tools.
... That's actually a pretty good quote right there... Actually, I think there are several good quotes in there...

I have a random question.
... Why do people think babies are cute? I don't get it, myself. I mean... I don't hate them, but I don't really understand the appeal of and infant.
... Is it that maternal instinct thing that women have, or something? Somebody will have a baby somewhere, and most everyone else goes nutso, and all my brain does is says is "Oh, a baby. ... 'kay. Cue the 'aaawwww's from random people..." That's it... Unless it starts crying, I don't even pay anymore attention to the fact.
... Is it because I'm a guy? ... I'll assume that part of the reason... I'm going to bet the other part of the reason is because I'm way too cynical for my age, and very realistic... I don't know. I get the symbolism for babies and hope and new life, but I'm not impressed by it (I'm not impressed by a lot of symbols anymore... only if they have multiple layers of symbolism).
... I feel too old. The explanation to that statement ("I feel too old") is very, very long and complicated. So please, don't ask...

-bursts out laughing- HAH. No, its not just because you're a guy. Actually, some guy in my AVID class was just saying babies are born cute so people don't kill the annoying things, and I argued AGAINST it. And I'm female.
...Dead baby jokes, anyone? -snicker-

I hate babies.
Okay, I don't exactly hate them, but they get on my nerves. I mean, they cry and wail so loudly and so often....
and I'm a girl and I don't find them cute/adorable/call them what you may....
