Jin nodded in response to her smile, knowing what she meant behind it. Phenias voice caught his attention as she again continued to go on about how hungry she was. He smiled slightly, just before she turned and walked backwards as she spoke to him. He nodded, accepting her apology while she introduced herself and her twin. Waving back at Lilith, he addressed himself, finally able to speak. "I am Jin. An intermediate air bender." He smiled, just before Aura sent a breeze of air to push Phenia to the left so she wouldn't hit the food stall. It was a well controlled use of energy. Something he quickly noted. Not too hard, but not to soft. It was as if she had been waiting for it sense they started walking. Then, Phenia started to talk to Aura. Mentioning her control of her powers when someone is in need of help. Along with how she had trust issues with her powers. He figured she was right. It was something he could almost relate to himself. Though, when it came to other people and helping them, he was reckless with himself. Willing to practically end his own life for another. Well, in truth, that hasn't been proven yet. His friend back when he was a beginner guessed that was how he would turn out to be. Jin shrugged it off as Phenia and Lilith walked towards the table. Turning to Aura, he nodded as she pointed to the fruit parfait just as he stomack growled softly. He chuckled to himself, before following her gaze over to Amir and Tsuki. "Hey." He spoke, watching the two approach them. With a nod at Amir and Tsuki, he once again turned to Aura as she pointed that she was going to buy her food. "I'll wait for you. If you don't mind." He spoke, lifting his backpack at his side. "I pack my own lunch." He smiled, letting his backpack fall to his side before he flung it over his shoulder again.

((bleh..sorry for not being on...I got busy all of a sudden and didn't have much time for posting things. Watching..but not posting))
As soon as the lunch bell rang Jake stood up from his desk and looked around the class. "Just leave the toys where they are and get to lunch. I'll see some of you in the gym, and the rest of you tomorrow. Now get outta here before I start assigning homework." Of course no one needed to be told twice. Even Rio, the new guy, was gone. Jake chuckled slightly, he wasn't about to assign homework. Noooo...that would mean homework for him. Correcting all of it. And he wasn't about to do any such thing unless it was a required thing told to him directly by the Headmaster..till then...
Defi chuckled to himself as he locked his classroom door and headed for the gym whistling happily.

(( Hey! Sorry I wasn't on. 5 day camp. -.- ))
Chyna walked out of the class room and headed towards the lunch area. She kind of felt like she didn't have many friends, but that was almost normal for her. She guessed that maybe she would still be considered a new kid and people hadn't taken her fully under their wing yet. After all, Tsuki had Amir and his friends, just as Akira had Jake. All Chyna had was nobody else to call a friend. She sighed thinking of how similar it was to her old life at her old school. She shook her head, shaking off the thoughts and stepped down the flights of stairs until she reached the door that lead to outside. She pushed it open and looked around for a couple of stands. Some, in her opinion, looked like heaven, while others...not so much. She looked around at the nicer looking foods and decided on what she would get. She went up to several stands, ordering -in total- of a couple of chicken fingers, a side salad, and water to drink. She sat down at a bench and pulled out her food and began to eat. The food tasted slightly better than she expected, but after getting over the shock of five star worthy fast food, she didn't seem surprised at the quality. She smiled inwardly and finished her food. Not too long after, she got up to throw her trash away.
The indside was more quiet than usual, but Chyna guessed that it was because most people were outside eating lunch, or inside working on assignments from their previous classes. Chyna, however, was not doing either of the two, which may seem obvious. She was heading up to her second class - Mythical Creatures. That just happened to be her elective class. She stopped at the top of the stairs and waited for a little bit, thinking of random things. Soon enough she started back to classroom 2D, which wasn't that far of a walk from the stairs. She opened the door and stepped inside, sitting down at a seat in the second row. She pulled out a novel and read to pass the time. Besides, she didn't have anything better to do. Waiting for a class to start was one of Chyna's least favourite activities.

Nicolas, with Liriale in tow, turned around to give Headmaster a sincere smile and said, “Of course not, your presence is a comforting ray of sunlight.” Then his smile morphed into his goofy grin as he dramatically added, “For you shine like a beacon from heaven, a searchlight of hope, a long lasting battery operated flashlight in the hands of a lost child in the cold wilderness, or a…” “Kamen!” “Yes?” “Your mouth is running again, turn it off and conserve your precious energy.” Liriale growled as she was dragged once again out of her office. These two were making a habit of that, Liriale thought.
The group headed down the flight of stairs and out through botanical doors. Nicolas took a deep breath in, “Ah, the wonderful scent of the outdoors! Oh, Jake!” He hollered as he spotted the water professor heading towards them gym. “Why don’t you join us for a bit? Take some time off from training and practicing your water skills.” Nicolas stated, then added with a smug smile, “water is a powerful element, that is, if it isn’t pounded senseless by rock first.” At this comment, Liriale gave Kamen her dagger stare and said, “Oh, really, well you know water does erode through rock and at the right pressure cut blast through steal,” she said her competitive spirits flaring, though she knew Kamen was purposely feeding the fire. “Yes, but in nature such events take thousands of years, just face it darling, Earth is better.” Nicolas said with a sigh and shake of his head as if professing that Liri was one of many lost lambs when it came to which element was better. Liriale growled, turned to face Kamen and clenched her fist. “Oh ho! Why don’t we see which element is better! With a duel!” Liriale proclaimed with stars in her eyes. She loved duels, especially when she was head of the dueling club in her time, maybe someone will revive the honorable club once again.
Nicolas smiled as he watched the flaming spirit sparkle is Liriale’s eyes once again. Grinning, he patted her on the head, saying, “Now now, you know I couldn’t bring myself to hurl a boulder at you. Maybe someone else could step into your place, a water bender…how about Jake! Oi, Jake! How about being my sparring partner?” Nicolas asked with a smile.

Jake's pricked up at the calling of his name and invite. Walking towards them in his usual casual pace he came within ear shot of everthing else then promptly turned around and started walking back towards the gym. "Maybe another time." He called back to the group without even looking to them. The last thing I want to do is relive old memories

((…but *sniff*…Delta…I thought we had a deal…*goes blows her nose*…Just a good elemental battle))
Nicolas let loose his Cheshire cat grin, indicating that he was about to wreak havoc. “Aww come now Jake. I haven’t had a good spar in a long while,” Nicolas added as he cracked his neck, and dug into his pocket, withdrawing a pair of leather, gold embroided gloves which he snugly slipped his hands in. "I'll play nicely, I even have my power restraint gloves on." he added showing a hint of an evil grin while his left hand made a lifting motion causing a large boulder to lift out of the trembling ground, spilling dirt and chunks of rocks down as he let the rock hover above the ground. “Let’s have some fun!” he cheered as he flung the rock over towards Jake. “I’ll just test you reflexes, see if they are still up to par.”

The Headmaster smiled and stood back, out of danger. He motioned for Liriale to stand behind him. He shouted in an announcer's voice.
"The duel between Mr. Nicholas Kamen and Mr. Jake "Defi" Prior has commenced!" People started to gather around the pair, easily falling out of bounds of the danger zone. Soon, there was a definite line to the duel. If Defi baked down, there would many witnesses to see it and many more than would eventually hear it.

As Chyna waited for class to start, bordem overwhelmed her being. She stood and sighed impatiently and walked to the window, watching the few people as they ate their lunch. Her eyes traced and took in every feature of the outoodrs, from the endless trees to the stand with various foods. Her mind wandered from thought to thought, memory to memory, until something abnormal caught her attention.
A group of people forming near the gymnasium.
Chyna blinked twice and squinted to get a better glimpse, but her eyes wouldn't allow her to see much further. She sighed and smiled with she rolled her eyes, then she opened the door to the classroom and headed down the stairs, taking each step with thought, as strange as that may be. Soon enough, she was down to the first level of the school and outside, adding herself to the many that had collected. Being as small as she was, she could easily slip through people and make her way to the front of the mob to get a better look, and that's exactly what she did.
Upon finding her way to the main part of the line, a slightly awkward sight greeted her vision. She saw the Dean and her elemental teacher, Jake "Defi" Prior, standing in a way it looked to be a duel. She smiled inwardly and rolled her eyes. Her teacher always seemed to be getting into this kind of stuff.

Jake grumbled to himself in an unintelligible way that would make someone who didn't know better think the man crazy. Though he heard of the restraint items he never bothered using one himself...
The closest restraint idea he ever got close to was death. Facing the rock Nicholas threw at him he simply stepped to the side at the last second. Looking at the sun he wondered how hot it was. 90...maybe 91 degrees? Dry heat He thought to himself. Some clouds formed above their heads. It started to rain down hard for just a couple seconds then it stopped. The air cleared up and then all of a sudden it became really...really muggy.

Nicolas smiled as he looked up to see the clouds forming above them. Putting his outstretched hands out to his sides, he let the rain pour down. When the rain stopped, Nick put his hands into the drenched pockets of his wet pants and smiled. His hair and clothes clung to his body. Liriale was unable to contain herself any longer, and now she was drenched and it was humid. Liriale used her powers to collect water from the soaked ground, concentrated it, and unleashed her fury like a broken fire hydrant onto Kamen. “You idiot!” she yelled. “Jake was in the infirmary THIS morning!” She glared at Kamen, who wasn’t expecting that attack and was now laughing as he rolled around in a mud puddle. Heaving an exasperated sigh, Liriale turned to the Headmaster and said in a more simpering tone paired with her concerned look and slight pout, “Please Headmaster, can we postpone the battle until after school? That way this battle won’t interfere with classes. You too Jake, please let it rest until later.”

Jake had a small ball of water hovering above his hand. He began to spin it, until it looked as if it were just sitting still. Jumping up he raised the ball above his head as if he were about to do a dunk with a basketball and then slammed the ball down on the hard concrete. The small ball of water exploded like a Depth Charge going off in the ocean.
When the water reached the limit of its reach towards the sky, Defi promptly froze it along with the flying drops of water, creating dangerous shrapnel. Of course he stopped every single one of them from harming of the students. He examined a piece of ice floating in front of him. Had he not stopped it or any of the others there would be a very disturbing mess to clean up. "I'm fine." He voiced towards Liriale. "I've dealt with worse things before."

The Headmaster was content, even overjoyed, by the audience. The number of teachers and Expert students around ensured nothing would happen. However, Liriale seemed less than enthusiastic about the idea of a duel. He sighed, disappointed, for he knew he had to postpone.
"Very well, Dr. Montoya, we shall cease the duel until after school. Defi," he commanded, "you will cease the duel for now," His voice was firm and deadly, meaning he was serious.

Nicolas had mud splashed all over his clothes. He dipped his fingers into the mud and drew thick lines under his eyes, like the black paint football players put on. Rising to his feet, he watched with interest as Jake commenced his attack of ice shards. Nicolas’s smile broadened, as if he were a hungry wolf. Liriale, recognized that twisted smile of Kamen’s and had a gut feeling that Kamen had specifically chosen Jake to spar with even though Kamen had been the habitual sparring partner for Liriale in the past. Liriale was an avid fighter in duels, but she needed to put a halt on this one before things got out of hand, at least they should finish classes and Liriale could bring her emergency medical items. Nicolas’s smile faded as he peered over to Liri with one eye. He shrugged nonchalantly, then called over to Jake, “I’ll see you after school then,” before he turned away, passed Liriale without looking at her, and headed towards the gardens of the grass area. Liriale wringed her hands together, mentally cursing herself for her transparency under Kamen’s gaze. “Thank you Headmaster,” then she turned to him and Ayla and added in a whisper, “I don’t think I’m hungry anymore,” before heading off after Kamen.

Aura smiled and shook her head as she tried to communicate, ‘I don’t mind,’ before she strode over to the stall. Gazing at the many choices of fruit concoctions, then settled on a berry parfait. She walked with Jin towards the table where everyone else had already sat down, leaving a side bench clear for Aura and Jin. Everyone was silent as they chomped away at their lunches, until the yelling from Nicolas and the sound of a boulder smashing the ground caught their attention. Amir blew the weeping willow’s branches aside so that they all had a clear view of what was unraveling. The group was located near the double doors, across the gym, and diagonal to the food stalls. Aura’s spoonful of parfait was suspended above her cup as her mouth gaped open. Amir had a slight frown on his handsome face as he tried to understand what the Dean’s motive. Lilith looked shocked and Phenia grinned. When the spectacle was halted, Phenia turned to the group and asked an excited voice. “If I went ahead and established a Dueling Club, who would be interested in joining?” Amir grinned and rolled his eyes, before saying, “Count me in, it will give us a chance to spar with other elements, which would be really interesting.” Aura, now that her attention returned to her parfait gave Phenia a noncommittal shrug as if to say, ‘not sure, I’ll think about it.’ She was definitely interested, but didn’t think she would join yet until she had more control over her powers. Lilith smiled at her sister and said, “I think I would join,” in a soft voice. Phenia gave a questioning look at Tsuki and Jin.

Jake waved a hand towards the ice and it melted right into the ground. Then he turned and looked to Liriale. "Really...your mouth ran all the time with lessons you learned in class in school, but I didn't think you'd be stupid enough to let it run into a duel. Besides, I'm not good with duels. I'm a Crowd Control guy. Give me a crowd and I'll give you a lot of dead beings." He said that last part with his back turned to the group and walking towards the gym. The challenge had opened his mind to some memories and it mellowed him down to the point where he would actually kill someone for peace and quiet.
