Hopefully you find a couple things that you'll find interesting to join. At the moment I haven't finished reading through everything, but I've found several that look quite interesting. (My hours at work are about to like...triple and I need to move soon, so I didn't wanna join anything else until I found out how life is after that. ^^)
I'm supposed to let you know that if you wanna join the one I'm in (masked marked) that you are welcome to ask for the sun, star, or chariot if you really want 'em, even though they're reserved. You can ask for The Tower too, since I'm the one she has that reserved for. (I've started the profile but not finished it) It's just that there's only the hanged man visibly open out of the major arcana at the moment. However Hoshi and I both have multiple characters already so giving up a couple of the ones we haven't made yet won't kill us, and we don't want you to feel limited to only The Hanged Man. ^^
Also, Hoshi will have the minor arcana opened soon as well. They don't get magical card skills like the major arcana do, but they're kewl. They're more like warriors as opposed to magic users. ^^

Genre.......
Historical fiction, fiction, horror... The series: The Demonata Series is excellent. There are minor plot holes but it really captures horror without romance being tied within it, it's fascinating really. It's one of the few books I've read that doesn't have actual romance in it.
Another book I like is the Dark Hunter series. Good series, heavy on romance and sexual content but good plot.
The Davinci Code is a major favorite of mine, along with Angel's and Demons, though I was angry when I saw the movies. :I

Not to mention the more roleplayers that are involved, the more twists and turns a story is liable to take. The more the merrier for sure. (though, this would seem to be more OOC than welcoming of the newbies. I'm surprised you guys don't have an all encompassing OOC topic. You've got a subforum, but everyone just makes their own random ooc for that particular thought or moment, as opposed to one solid thread that covers any and all OOC topic from what color dog you have to how fast an african swallow flies in Monty Python. XD)

I look forward to seeing your profile when it is completed. ^^ Reminds me I need to give those pictures to Hoshi for the spirits so that she can put them up if she likes.
((I guess in your randomosity subforum would work well enough. ^^ I dunno... In my RP guild I just have it in the main forum so that whenever you come on you can see the activity. Using subforums tends to hide whatever is going on unless you deliberately sift through it, whereas having something out in the open where everyone can constantly see it, makes it easier to keep up to date on I guess. ^^))

Uh um... Hi~
I just realized I never formally introduced myself. My bad. I am Miss Meat Shield, though I really take any sort of nickname thrown at me. Most tend to lean on MMS or Shield.
I'm a pretty open person in terms of personality. I try to stay as optimistic about life and people as possible and it takes a lot to make me mad. Defensive and flustered, sure. That's actually quite easy, but never truly mad.
I play a lot of different characters, most personalities are fair game. I can play my sugar loaded puppies down to my sulking emotastic hipsters and tend to stay fairly in character. I do draw the line at roleplaying women though. Somehow all of my female characters come out wonky and lopsided and I can't stand the lot of them. Thus, for better or for worse, I stick to playing men. My fierce love of yaoi might have something to do with that, but of course, I'm open to everything and anything. (No, I don't know the two people who introduced themselves just before me, I don't know what you're talking about. No relation to either one, whatsoever.)
I uh... Don't know quite what else to say... Pleased to meet you all and I promise that I don't bite.
Unless you have an interesting deformity that I would have to drag you too my underground laboratory to examine in close detail. FOR SCIENCE!

As far as roleplaying, I've done it for four years, and I'm fourteen now, so I've been active since I was ten. I first got a Gaia when I was living with my dad, and I saw my brother on it, then he signed me up and got me into a Harry Potter guild, and I got stuck in Hufflepuff... ANYWAYS...
I find myself most interested in Academy roleplays and Slave/Master roleplays. The first I guess is because I'm still in school and I like to imagine that school is actually THAT MUCH FUN, but it really isn't... The second of which, I guess is because I'm submissive and lie to play a slave... ANYWHO...
I can be anywhere between Semi-literate to Advanced Literate in my posts, depending what I'm given to work with by the person I am responding to... Don't worry, I won't go and type out a whole novel for you to read, though it only took me a day to read each of the Harry Potter books, and I HOPE you all know how thick those are...

Anything else you would like to know about me?
Other than the fact that I have two different colored eyes and wear color contacts to cover it...
