Lau Jimin hopped from her shoulder and onto the desk as she rose, tittering over to Chloe. He sniffed at her hand gingerly, unsure of her newness.
I wonder what Chloe's thinking...does she like my Master? Is she excited about the mission? I hope she is...I hope she won't be too upset about the things my Master just said...
Tim sat there fidgeting, letting his mind race.
"Really....he must've been quite the chatterbox.." She replies, giving him a glance and smiles.
She isn't like the rest of the authority figures I've met...she's actually....nice. Heh...and here I thought all of the Generals had an attitude on them....that weird feeling that makes me not like them for some reason or another.
She glances down when she felt something cold on her hand and sees Lau Jimin, sniffing her hand. She tenses up a bit, having some bad experience with animals in the past, how they always bit her or chased her down...but this was a monkey...hopefully it won't bite. So she smiles at it, letting him sniff her hand, seeing as how she didn't want to startle him with any sudden movements.
Tim continued to prod his Master about the mission, greatly wishing to leave behind the subject of his relationship with Chloe. He was getting so embarrassed, still blushing madly.
"So, what's the story this time?" He asked Cloud.
Cloud pulled out a file and made her way back to her desk, seating herself and opening it, perusing it for a few minutes.
Tim waited, filled with anticipation, his leg shaking excitedly. He turned his attention to Lau Jimin and Chloe.
Lau kept sniffing at Chloe's hand for a minute before rubbing his face on her hand gently. He made a small "ih-ah!" noise and grabbed Chloe's hand, prying her fingers open to look and see if she had anything. When he found nothing, he leaped onto her shoulder and curled up, his tail around Chloe's neck.
Tim laughed,"Jau!! Silly monkey!"
Cloud looked up from the file and smiled,"It seems that he likes you, Chloe. He doesn't eat of course, but he still likes to look for bits of food."
"Hey, you're tail is fuzzy.." She said, petting him lightly. She turns her attention to Cloud and keeps her smile.
"Really? I'm not that experienced with animals...so I thought he was going to bite or something.." She explains, letting out a nervous laugh.@your other post: (( OAO I luv Crash Bandicoot racing...THAT GAME WAS AWESOME!!!! heart ))

"Yes...he isn't actually a real monkey, you know. He's my innocence," She smiled at Chloe,"Shall we get on with things?"
Cloud laid the file out for them both to see and pointed to a small picture of a frozen tundra. The vast white-scape panned out for miles, it appeared. High, frozen mountains rose in the distance.
"You'll be traveling to the arctic. Not very populated, I know. Sorry about that, but there's nothing I can do." She pointed to the sea in the picture,"The word is, some supply ships have been disappearing off the coast, just here. They sail off to some unknown coordinate, and just vanish. We suspect Innocence is the cause. You two will be sent along with a few finders, to investigate. I hope you packed something warm." She added with a small laugh.
Tim was taken aback. This wasn't at all what he had in mind. He was hoping for a place a little more...welcoming. He sighed a little, but remembered that this was his duty now. He had to help the Order, even if it meant risking frostbite.
Well, so much for getting lazy time...ah well, there's always next time.
"We get a map, right?" He asked uncertainly,"And how will we get there? I'm sure there aren't trains...are there?" He had no clue.
"Ship." Cloud answered in one word.
What..? But what if we get warped into the ocean too??
Holy s**t...are you for real? Her other thoughts were also cut off when she saw the landscape for their next mission.
FAAAWWWWWWKKKKKKKKK.....the cooooollldddd.... She exclaimed angrily...she almost said it outloud as well. Chloe was born in a warm climate, in the middle part of Mexico..she could tolerate high temperatures, but that also meant that she was extremely low tolerant of cold temperatures, hell she'll thrown a tantrum when its below 50 degrees....there's no way in hell she would be happy in the artic...and they were going on ship as well.
Fawking hell...what else could go wrong today? My uniform isn't suited for that climate......well..I only brought a heavy coat and a hoodie just in case...I don't think that'll be enough. She mused mentally, sighing heavily.
".......oh god...this isn't going to end well....I hate the cold...." she said under her breathe.
Tim heard Chloe and looked at her for a minute before speaking,"Chloe? You can stay here if you like...I'm sure Miss Cloud will find another Exorcist to join me." He said it a little sadly, because he had so been looking forward to the mission, even with these awful circumstances.
If she won't be able to stand the cold, I don't want her to go, though...
"I'm sure we can get enough supplies for you. The Order will supply warmer coats and special snow gear, as well as blankets for your bunks on the ship," Cloud said in a convincing voice.
And maybe you could cuddle up together, too. She mused in her head.
"We'll also be sending along some admirable horses to ease your trip across the flatland. You won't have to worry about sailing, there will be a full crew on board the ship. You just have to worry about keeping everyone safe, should any Akuma show up. And of course, investigating the area."
Cloud reached out and touched Chloe's hand reassuringly,"My Tim is a very good Exorcist, and I'm sure you two will be able to accomplish the task easily. If you run into trouble or get cold feet, excuse the pun, then you can turn around and come back."
Tim smiled at his Master in thanks, and waited for Chloe's answer. He was unable to help himself putting on a slight puppy-look.

"Nah, I'm fine..I'm just complaining....sorry about that.." She apologizes, thinking that she made a slight idiot of herself..like she usually does.
She lets out a sigh and looks at both of them.
"Well....it seems like the Order is sending us some good gear for this mission...and its not like we have a choice, I'll go along I guess." She said giving a smile, although some nervousness can be seen and a slight tone of defeat from being double teamed by Cloud and Tim.
'I guess..I'll deal with the cold....despite how many degress below zero it'll be..'

Road skipped in, twirling around before dropping herself on the floor. Her shirt, skirt and stockings were all soaked with blood and her shoes left red bloody tracks from where she walked in all the way to where she lay on the ground. Giggling to herself, she lay there licking the droplets off her fingertips with a sinister, yet cute, delight.

Tim squeaked and hugged Chloe, nearly falling out of his seat,"Thank you!" He hugged her tighter and gave her a long kiss.
Lau leaped from Chloe's shoulder with a small shriek at almost being knocked off, and crawled back to Cloud, a little ruffled.
"I'll take good care of you, and you won't be cold, and we'll get the Innocence, and--"
"Well kids, I think you should be heading out now, the ship is waiting." Cloud ushered them out of the room,"Be careful...people tend to get frisky in cold weather," She said as they walked out, a bit of a hum in her voice, trailing off into a light laugh. She bid them a goodbye and shut the door on them before they could utter another word.
"W-what!?" Tim yelled out as he registered her words. His face turned beet red and he averted his eyes from Chloe, looking at the ground and cursing his Master under his breath.
He looked up and grabbed Chloe and slung her onto his back as usual, making for the carriage that was waiting to take them to the ship.
"Well, this is going to be interesting! Do you know how to ride a horse?"

In tandem, Sillie sat cross legged on the couch licking the remnant of a chocolate banana split from the tips of her fingers. She glanced up, quirking a dark eyebrow curiously at the younger girl, wondering for not the first or last time what kind of 'games' Road liked to play when she was out.
