I just got back from a day at the track.
Have I ever mentioned that I LOVE horse racing? Especially when I walk away with a sizeable amount more than I went in with? heart

...dammit, I'm so tempted to post in that Spiderman versus Ranma thread... but it's a hard one to guess and I don't have any definate answers. I'd personally back Spidey over Ranma mostly because of Spidey's spider advantages, and because Peter's smarter then Ranma, but it's so... close! gonk

Yeah... my father nailed a ~$500 tri-fecta on the last race. I'd been rubbing it in his face that I was 7 for 10 against the field, and then he won that and was like... "Fool, back up off me." ...Needless to say, I did.

Ranma's probably faster and definitely has more formal martial arts training. Given enough time, he might find some way around the spider sense. Plus, even Spidey might have trouble dodging the Chestnuts roasting on an open fire attack. Plus, from how Spidey fights, the Hiryu Shoten Ha might not work, which'd mean Ranma's instawin is out. As far as Spidey being smarter, does that relate so much to fighting smarts? I know he'd definitely intelligence smarter, but what about combat analysis and such that Ranma excels so much in? I'd guess that it'd end either a tie or really close to it, with both of them taking several of the opponent's moves away to use later. So in the long run, they both win. This is the most balanced comic vs anime thread I've seen though. It's a nice break from all the Justice League vs. YuYuHakusho's out there.

This is the most balanced comic vs anime thread I've seen though. It's a nice break from all the Justice League vs. YuYuHakusho's out there. Hiryu Shoten Ha's out. Spidey's fighting tactic is the same as Ranma's, piss of the enemy with cocky remarks and pull the fight into your own pace. Control it, and then control them. The only things that really get Spidey mad are things Ranma would never do (killing innocents, endangering his family, etc, etc). Peter's genius is more along the lines of tactics were as Ranma's are exploitation. Let's say they both had to rescue somebody from a giant robot. Peter would figure out a way to distract the robot, use his surroundings to dodge past it, grab the person, blind the machine, and leave. Ranma on the other hand would figure out the weakest joint of the machine and bash it to pieces. See the difference? However, as both are trained fighters, their genius equals out, except Spidey's smarter, and faster on his feet. Additionally, since both reside in urban centers, Spidey knows exactly how to utilize urban surroundings to his advantage, where as Ranma sort of doesn't (they don't matter to him). The amaguriken hurts, but it has to hit first. Remember, while Ranma can strike quickly, he'd have to sneak up on Spidey in order to use that advantage. Ranma's a masterful fighter, but a stealthy person he is not, where as Spiderman is one of the best. He's not going to get the amagurken in much, and most commonly, the amaguriken isn't used unless Ranma's sure he can hit somebody with it.

But even though he won't use the Umi-sen-ken, in theory, wouldn't he have learned how to be stealthy when needed from that? Regardless, you do need to post in there, since my knowledge is (and was) limited by being really rusty and mostly going off what I learned in the Spidey vs. Vash thread.
