Also what JB said. The NPCs are level 1 and have no defense. Unless you are especially susceptible to poisons or whatever, I wouldn't push it on anyone.
Unless they were like... doing lines of the powder while being chewed on by a half-dozen infected.

I am sure too. If I wanted I could use Liliana's gauntlet to block some bites. She really doesn't wear her armor everywhere she goes, only the gauntlet. I'm considering having her infected for character building purposes.
