*Bard sees Maggie fade in. He rises from his chair* Maggie! I missed y-- Good heavens you're soaked to the skin!
*he rushes over to Maggie*

*Maggie halts, hearing a familiar voice and realizing where she is with a some surprise.* Oh, Bard . . !
*Slightly self-conscious about the state she's in, she pushes her hair back from her face to look up at him. She'd had it pulled back at the nape of her neck, but now that it's wet it's too heavy for the pins to hold and is starting to tumble loose.* Ehm, aye, *she explains, a bit sheepishly* the rain started up again before I could get back inside . . .

*Maggie shakes her head, laughing* Nay, nay . . . at least, not as yet. *Despite her laughter, though, there's an anxious sort of look about her eyes. She's also starting to get a little chilly. Even without the rain, the air in the Brink is on the cool side. She rubs her arms, shivering slightly* I oughtn't te have gone outside, but I'd hoped it might at last be passing.

*Bard wraps his arms protectively around Maggie, hoping to provide her with a little warmth*
Let's get you somewhere where you can dry off.

*Maggie's grateful for his embrace, but she hesitates to return it, if only because she really is drenched* Oh, heavens, I'll end up getting ye soaked now as well ....

*Bard grins* Fortunately, My Pretty, I don't melt. *he wraps his arms around her more firmly.*
Let's go dry you off.
*He walks with her over to the board and selects his key from the rack.*

*Maggie shakes her head in slight bafflement - who would melt from rainwater? - but she smiles anyways and returns the hug before letting him lead her toward the hallway to the rooms*
**Exit Maggie, Bard, to Guest Rooms, 58**

:::Cora moves as lightly as possible as it would be in metal boots down the hall. She was up again all night crying, and her eyes were still bloodshot. But now she was hungry. When she got to the opening of the hall, she poked her head through. When she saw no one else, she moved over to the bar:::

:::She gathered a few small things to eat, and began heading back to the hall. She was both relieved and disappointed that no one showed up. It was a 50/50 chance it seemed that whoever showed up at random would either make Cora very happy, or make her extremely upset. She decided not to push her luck this time, and headed back to her room:::
*Exit Cora*

:::Cora walked down the hall, empty bottles of wine nestled under her arms. It had seemed that, after consuming their contents, she''d practiced her time slowing, brink power on them...these were just the ones that didn''t shatter.
As per usual, she poked her head through the hall opening first to see if anyone was there, when she decided that it was safe, she stepped out and began to put away the empty bottles.
Afterwards, she began to walk around to the other end of the bar, eyeing both the bar stools, and the chairs at the tables strewn across the bar, as though trying to decide which one... she''d gotten good at the wine bottles, and decided to practice on something with a little more mass now:::

:::Cora was a bit startled to see that one of the chairs she was inspecting for use in her practice was suddenly filled by a familiar man.... well, sort of a man:::
:::She knew that this was as good a time as any to talk to Alex about the last time they met, but she was caught so off gaurd that all she could do was stammer to try to get his attention:::

:::but Cora was taken aback by the sudden howling...was he in pain or something. Still, she noticed that she hadn't gotten his attention. She yelled over the prolonged yelling. Really she'd have never recognized it as singing. It sounded almost nothing like it as she knew it:::
Alex!! Alex, what's wrong!?
