The hesitancy in meeting her gaze was expected though Zahara had expected to be ignored. When Piper spoke to her she was a bit caught off guard. Keeping her fingers apart down at her sides, she swallowed once and shrugged, "As well as can be expected considering...prbably about as well as you are." That bruise looked awful and guilt swept through Zahara. She looked pointedly at Arthur. "Piper, might I have a small word with you. It involves...delicate matters..." Nope, Zahara wasn't into being polite right now. She needed to talk to Piper and Arthur standing there wasn't allowing for it. If Piper wanted to carry on their conversation with him there than so be it, but that would be her choice to make.

Though he could feel piper getting cozy with that other elf. not that he liked it, but not that he really minded. After all, he'd allowed that upstart into his house in the first place.
"I wouldn't really call it a vacation. but probably fairly close to. Nice pretty shoes that can make you run on water like Nerian or Serino. So be nice about getting them put on."
And that ment opening the stall, and Ramoth being led out while a stool was brought over and the supplies for removing and reshoeing laid out. hammer, nails, heat resistant gloves, welding torch and mask.
So each foot lifted up, hammer used to pry nails loose. of course the gloves where on just in case Ramoth decided to get uppity. after that, the welding torch. not to weld metal, but rather metal the fusion of metal around her hoof from teh heat inherent in her flaming hooves. then a semi melted metal horseshoe came off, a scrapper to get the excess metal free. reapet with all four shoes. now getting the new shiny gold hooves, and placeing them where they needed to be.
Ramoth took care of light attachment, a searing nad melting sound as they made contact, then mithril nails used to put them firmly into place. repeat for each shoe. the entire process taking about twenty minutesm since Ramoth was being nice and liked her new shoes.

"Yes, no worries Arthur. He's mostly harmless." A little chukle, fingers of one hand coming up to twin into the collar she was wearing before Zahara's voice drew her attention again. Piper...wasn't sure how to feel...a look to Arthur then one to Zahara. No...she didn't want to be alone with the drow right now. Too soon. Thus she cleared her throat and looked to Zahara. "There are no matters that are delicate in the Underdark, Zahara." A look to Arthur. "Though if you would rather not let yourself be involved in such converstions as the type I am sure is about to be held, then do feel free to wander the place, familiarize with it." Uncomfortable being along with her she may be, but that was no reason to trap Arthur there when he didn't deserve it. That said she turned her eyes halfway to Zahara. "So then, these small words?"
"Yes, indeed close enough to a vacation. I do fully expect you and Piper to take some together time away from business and all. After all, might as well get familiar with the place...after your body lets you of course, that is." Wasn't that just like Kieran? Making sure all bases and such were covered. Of course then yes...he was guilty of scribbling down what was happening as Ramoth had her shoes changed out, sketching some pictures. Really, they expected him to refrain?
Fianna watched with mild interest, after all she had shoed a horse before, but normally didn't shoe her horses...Anica did have a pair of those outfitted on her though, even if she was a pegasus. Though another pet to the nightmare. "You might want to get her used to them, she'll probably feel unsettled the first few time until she takes to the natural transition feel."

Arthur looked from both Piper to Zahara for a moment. Even though Piper wanted him to stay he felt the need not to, not only because he didn't want to gawk at Zahara but because this must be personal between the two female elves, he didn't want to hear anything that he wasn't allow to hear. But he felt like he heard something in Piper's voice, but seeing her touch her collar made it a little more clear. She was afraid to be around Zahara. Maybe because of the fight they were in just awhile ago?
Clearing his throat so that the two elves before him knew he was going to speak, he looked back and forth between the two before he said his words. "I will not leave but since this might be a personal topic I will just go down the hallway to leave you two to talk amongst yourselves." He paused as he turned to Piper. "If you want to continue to talk I'll be waiting." So with a small nod he turned and left them and just as he said all he did was turn the hallway and leaned against the wall. To let them know he was still there he took off his katana and placed it around the corner up against the wall.

"She'll be fine. besides, traveresing the water of the underdark is hazardous at best, deadly at worse. and I'm not about to have her spook on the water, and have something under it take her for a distressed fish."
He petted over the mare, and then led her back into her stall nicely. she was rather complacent to get new shoes, and that made her a happy nightmare, which made her easy to handle. So turning back to the other two, While Nightmare was clacking nad examining her new shoes in her stall, and probably bragging to the other horses about how damn good she looked.
"Anything else of importance you think I need to directly know? Or should I be okay with what I know and the enevitable lessons in surface speech Piper will be giving me?"

"You still have that...lake...by the fortress." Which was a new addition as she had come to realize. But no matter to her, she merely shrugged before her attention was taken by little horses that were getting bigger and bigger. Fast growth rates after all. But they were attention mongers as ever and as Piper did, Fianna just had to indulge the little things. Though of course mindful of fangs in two of them.
Kieran was still busy doing his little sketchings and writings, though anyone who couldn't read elvish text would probably think he was just slinging marks all over the pages and randomly dotting as well. But his eyes looked up from the rough sketch of Ramoth on the pages back to Malik. "Do know that no doubt, Piper herself will be brought up. I know how defensive you can be of her...but don't let your protectiveness get the better of you and cause you to lash out. It's, unfortunately, something that must be dealt with." A litting inclination of his head. "But other than that...all should be fine." Of course a chuckle at the mention of Malik having those speech lessons. "If anything, you just need the basics...it's easy enough to telepathically translate within a group such as this. I have full faith though that you will exceed expectations." Because he always seemed to.

Oh yes, that certainly got his attention. He expected certain things..but better to have a full grasp on how she was going to be used, enevitably, as a weapon in this little council. either her running off, her choice in husbands, something he had a feeling was going to be brought up and not in a good manner.

"Could be any number of things really. The fact that she more or less jumped plane and now is more or less reinstating herself in that plane, the fact that she can still take charge of a given throne, or establish her own...whether it's felt if she even has that right or not. In my suggesting on coming right out and telling them that you are indeed drow, that itself will come up. Piper is not the true 'first' bridge elf, but merely the first that everyone felt more or less mattered. Royalty and all that, kingdoms in the balance and all. Though her leaving did cause a few negative glances to be cast in her trail."
Clearly by his tone, he could care less about what was supposed to be his daughter's 'path'. After all, he had helped her get away in the first place, hadn't he? "A long time ago, bridge elves were thought more liable to loose thier minds...that could even be used againt her. Her marrying you could only be seen as proof of that. I am of course speaking in the harshest of terms and fathoming the worst, just in mental preparation...they may not even mind her at all, may welcome her back with open arms and not contest anything that is rightfully due to her. It's all a guessing game until we're sitting at Council."

"Well I hope that they all bring thier best skills if they attempt some of those little things. Piper is far more forgiving than I am."
Though a slight grin.
"By the way, since your calendar is about tow days ahead of ours..how much longer do we have to prepare for this little event?"

"Indeed...though they can do something as simple as mention her ears, and you know she'll be less inclined to want to deal with it all." Yes he was thinking of all the bad things wasn't he? Her leaving, ears, collar, Malik, a number of things could be capitalized on. But he let that all pass for the moment with a sigh. "Maybe a month now. Give or take a few days. I'll be contacting Lateef within the next few days to make sure I have my time tables right. And to get an update on things of course...get his input on what I myself need to bring to council." Seeing as he had been away so long, he had to be briefed on his own kingdom.

Zahara closed her eyes for a moment, collecting her thoughts. She was extremely pleased when Arthur decided to leave of his own free will since that would keep her from picking him up and tossing him out. He didn't need to hear any of this. "There's not much to say Piper and while I know the words may seem paltry and useless..." she trailed off. "I'm not used to making apologies but I'll do my best. I'm sorry." Well this wasn't nearly as hard as she thought. "I know you didn't do anything to deserve what happened to you and I wish I hadn't jumped to conclusions and gone after you. You were an innocent party and you dealt with my wrath and I know I broke your trust and I know you'll never look at me the same again..I just...I want you to know that I don't usually do that. I dont' go around attacking innocent parties unless I make a grave error like yesterday." She fiddled with the closure to her cape for a moment, unable to look at Piper but when she did raise her head her eyes were full of the sorrow she felt at her friend's discomfort and the uncertainty. This was surely the end, Piper would never trust her again, probably not want to talk to her again and Zahara couldn't blame her. "Whatever you wish me to do, just let me know..." Leave...die, whatever it was, Zahara would take her punishment at Piper's hands. Not Malik's.

She looked to Zahara more fully as the drow seemingly started into an apology and explaination. Having an explaination was nice she supposed, and apologies were always a good start. After all, she didn't want to be at odds with Zahara...even if she was a little edgy right now. No one liked being ambushed and cold cocked at all, let alone get a broken nose from it and not look too well the next day. "Yet you still made an effort at one, despite how you are not good at them." Hey now, that said something for sure. "I'm good...at dealing with wrath...I've become accomodated to it. Be it you, or Malik, or anyone else. Even if that involves getting hit." It was easy to see in those lavender eyes that she was meaning the words, that she was hurting over this and Piper perhaps did fell this remorse so much that it hurt. A little sigh. "Time heals all wounds, any manner of them, Zahara, and we're elves." Ever forgiving Piper, who always pulled the knife that had been jabbed into her back out, and handed it back to the hand that had put it there in the first place. "Just...look before you leap..." She didn't know what she could ask of her.

Arthur sighed as he leaned against the wall, the tension back there was so thick you could cut it with a knife, he had no reason to be there. It was between two friends, not between two friends and a stranger Arthur sighed again as he slid down the wall and with a small grunt made his butt hit the hard ground. Slowly he rested his head ontop of his knees and closed his eyes, it seemed like things are going to be different from here on in, the people who lived here are not going to be like those he has met throughout all of his life, so he must be prepared for new things and keep his defense up.
But for now he'll just sit here against the cold wall and go back to the places where he had gone to, wether it was good or bad he has seen alot and was worth trying to see them again. With a small sigh he reached back into his mind and began his small mental journey.

"Perhaps you should stay home a little more then once every blue moon. take a vacation from trying your fate in the Requias Pennisula. Curiousity can be deadly sometimes."
A grin to Fianna.
"besides the fact I bet your dear lady woudl resurrect you just to beat you some more. When do you think we should be getting ready to go, if piper hasn't told you already I'm a notorious packrat."

Kieran gave a grin in Mailk's direction. "Perhaps...though I tend to grow restless a little these days. But I intend to spend some time back home once this council is over, get things back in order, give poor Lateef a break...from running things and making sure I stay out of trouble that may be too deep." A little laugh that sobered quickly.
Fianna gave her own chuckle. "Indeed I would Malik." If she could. Resurrection...well it never went well and thus she didn't engage in it too much if at all. Still petting at horses who were loving the affection, Nerian and Serino getting thier due pets as well. "You might as well start now...though do try to leave the house at home and only bring a room." A little chuckle again...Kieran was like that sometimes too.
