It was a herd of girls, teenage girls, with a solitary guy that looked as though he wished to be a thousand miles away from them.

YESH! I am back from Avalon, Catalina Island in California. I didn't get online yesterday, even though I got back at around 7pm (and here I am posting at 9pm XD)

I have survived a minor quake that seemed to come from the Los Angeles area. It lasted only a few seconds while I was in this quaint used book store. Booyah! FEAR >D

I also saw "Howl's Moving Castle" last week at the Hillcrest Cinema in San Diego. I have read the novel, and strangely enough, I like the film a bit more than the book - but that's probably because I'm a sucker for Miyazaki films and also the genre. Uber-bishounen alert, too! >D (But yeesh, it was EXPENSIVE. $9.57 just for me. crying ; Oh well, it was a great theatre XD)

Ooh! I also went scuba diving at 8am in the morning. For people who know me, I'm usually the most cranky person in the first hour of school. I usually fell asleep (almost) in my first period class of science, but would awake in orchestra. XD But anyways, I went down at least 30 feet in this kelp forest where there were loads of fish. One kept on bonking me in the face (it was the state's sea fish, the garibaldi or something). This bright orange fish reminded me of a mobster character and our instructor, Mike, said that if that fish would be as big as a shark, he swears that it would be the most dangerous fish in the sea.

I still have to laugh about my dad's buoyancy (it was only me and my dad, btw). He kept on flayling around at the bottom, while I just floated there and watched him like this: neutral After the 40 minute or so dive, the instructor told me I was fantastic and a natural. YES! I'M A NATURAL WITH GETTING BONKED IN THE FACE BY A MOBSTER FISH! FEAR! >=O

It was actually a week of food that filled me up and didn't make me sick. I especially liked Antonio's Pizzeria. We also went on the glass bottom boat, the submarine, and drove in the golf carts (yes, in Avalon, you drive in golf carts). My feet still ache (aka, "My dogs are barking") from all the shopping we did - especially at the thrift store they had across the street from the Glenmore. In the end, I bought at least two old-fashioned hats, and wore the bowler cap and cat hat most of the trip.

Oh yeah, and the spiffy thing about our hotel was that it is the 2nd oldest in California. The second set of staircase (we were on the 3rd floor, number 313) was crooked and tilted to the side, giving the door at the top a Winchester Mystery House feel to it. Plus, the room was so damn comfy.

The sad thing is, once we got back to Arizona, was that the heat is now unbearable. crying UGH! Just stepping out of the car for KFC on the way back in Yuma was like I was in the Sahara. We also got back a day early because of all the media buzz about the fact that the "big one" (aka, super earthquake) will come. Didn't enjoy that...that's for sure...oh yeah, and my nightmares of sharks before the scuba adventure. STUPID, STUPID ME for being scared by kids throwing up sharks in my dreams >(

Ow, my hand is hurting me. I'll show some pictures as soon as I can. ;D

Call my life a fairytale then ^_^

Calm can be just the opposite of boring, and less stressful as well.

Chaos is good when calm grows old, and vice versa..
