Fianna's heart nearly sank when she saw Aimee grab for the Snitch, but when no cry of triumph went up, she realized she still had a chance. She could ask for no more than that. Crouching low over her mount, Fianna urged her broomstick to greater speed. As the Snitch flitted about, she started to close the distance again.

A small cry from the Slytherin crowd told her she scored. And somewhere, the seekers were having a hard time. Savannah chased down Gid and tried to steal.
Rey overextended her arm and managed to hit herself with the bludger, again. Oww, she thought, her eyes tearing up slightly at the pain. A cheer then went up, since they'd apparently scored a goal and tied with Gryffindor, and that spurred Rey to continue on. Sure, she hadn't managed to get in a single successful hit on Fianna, but she still had to try.

Fianna continued to close in on her elusive quarry, scarcely daring to blink, lest it vanish on her again. She was determined to get another grab if she could manage it. As she poured on the speed, Fianna got struck across the back by a Bludger. It was only a matter of time before Slytherin's Beaters finally got a hit on her. Ribs snapped like twigs, and the Fifth Year bit down on her lips so she wouldn't scream in pain.
