Some of the names are plain out stupid, you have to admit that at least, but yeah, that's basically the reason. For example, I can't watch Dragon Ball Z Kai in Japanese because I'm so used to the English original and games.

what's up guys, sorry for the sporadic activity, i've been a bit busy
and i have to agree with roy, i'm not a big fan of the US names for the most part either, though Foongus & Amoongus make me laugh a bit, but it's because i'm more familiar with the japanese names
