Count of Moogi Cristo Denko I don't feel like I can complain about this week because I'm too appreciative that we're getting this amount of info on a daily basis. I appreciate the Dojo a lot, it's the only thing keeping me sane as I wait eagerly for Brawl in February. That aside, I really like Norfair because it's one of those stages the whiny people will absolutely ban outright. Safe spot = hardcore awesome. I agree. The dojo is the only thing keeping me from going mad. And anything that annoys the Tournament Legal players HAS to be a good thing. If only for my smug sense of petty vengeance. I may know the dumb response but... Why do people hate competitive players so much? stressed

I wonder if anyone from the old super mario RPG will join? It'd be nice to see Mallow or Geno join in the fray, doesn't anyone agree? I'd personally enjoy seeing maybe Geno as a playable character and have someone like booster come in as an assist trophy (that'd be funny)

It's just that most of the ones I've met are elitist ********. It's always 'play with items and you suck at the game', or 'the tier list is God', or most annoyingly 'you can't enjoy the game properly unless you play Tournament Legal.' I'm not saying that everyone who plays that way are like that. I'm really not. I just don't think it's right, for a single hardcore section of the fanbase to elevate themselves at the expense of everyone else. I shouldn't generalize as much as I do about the professional players, I know. And many casual players (possibly even myself) are just as bad. Why people can't simply enjoy a video game, regardless of how they play it, I fail to understand.

Playing by the rules of whatever pro or casual are both fine, and I kind of agree some pro players are arrogant as all hell #1 in the world especially. I think that your last sentance is 100% true, play the game and dont care how others play it. A lot of people bash on me for playing mostly tourney legal and I see no reason for it. Play the game and have fun is all that is needed. Great response and sorry about the "Dumb response" thing in my earlier post. I thought they play wrong was the general answer.

That is bull, the game is fun no matter how you play it as long as you prefer that particular play style. Play with items it is fine if you like it. Play with no items if you don't like them. People have different opinions on what is fun, I prefer no items over items when you like the items so what fun is fun and it differes from person to person. and the stages are the same thing. Edit: s**t double post xp

I couldn't make a better generic "I hate pros" response.
You're bashing "tourneyfags" as you call them for what you are doing. Telling others that they play the wrong way. There is no wrong way to play Smash. Saying otherwise is idiocy, and you know it. There is, afterall, an Item Switch and Random stage for a reason.

Norfair looks fun. The kind of place that everyone I know will hate (like the other Metroid stages). But for four people playing it looks hectic.

Norfair looks like a challenge, and I like the fact that lava comes from all directions. Also.... *shoves everyone out of the way and runs for safe zone* SHOTGUN!

About Norfair: yes. Lava=awesomeness. That one looks fun.
And as to the professional player thing; I don't hate *them,* I hate the stuffy, rulesy way they play. Plus, I utterly despise the wavedash.
And, one more thing; when items are on and the stage isn't totally flat, there are only two tiers: Pichu, and everyone else. Pichu is, quite simply, subpar.
But yeah, I can't wait for this game. I stalk the Dojo. rolleyes

On the past topic, I really do hope Chrono makes it. I will have to say it is most likely my second favorite game for the SNES.
yeah i know, Im a Akira Toryiama nerd, but still. Chrono Trigger had a great storyline, great gameplay and....it also had its nerd-gasm moments.
plus the music in the game is amazing. Magus, Frogs, Robo's, Gato's, and Lavos themes are all worth while
