luckily athena's pushing got jack out of harms way.
"athena....come on girl it's ok...don't get upset nobody is going to hurt you ok?? it's just your friends here" she said, trying to talk athena down.

Cyrus went over to Xhel and leaned on her shoulder. He knelt down so that he was eye level with Athena. He pulled Xhel down with him. "Remember us?" he asked Athena through the barrier. "You asked us what love felt like?" her looked at her, a calming look in his eyes.

Cyrus grabs Xhel and turns so that his body takes the blast and shields her from it. He looked at Athena and his whitish hair flew backwards. "ATHENA...CALM DOWN!" he yelled through the gusts.

Jack cried out as he felt himself be pushed with extreme force against the barrier. He fell to the ground and groaned quietly.
Don't scream... you're upsetting her.
"Athena... it's alright," Jack said in a calm voice. "Everyone's gone except your friends. Xhel is right here with you. She'll stay here."
Jack began to feel pain. The force... that was inhuman! How did she do that.

He kisses Xhel's forehead and stands up and walks away and sits on a bench, ready to jump in if someone needed help.

xhel put her own barier around jack which allowed him to not get hurt.
"athena...you're ok now, no one can hurt you ok??" she said right before the wave hit her hard.
she flew back a few yards and landed on her back. "wow, she's strong!!" she said.

he picked athena up off the ground and wiped the bloody tears away he held her in his arms "Well that could have turned out better..."

Jack cried out as he felt himself being blown against the field by the blast. Jack cried out in pain and fell to the ground. His face winced and he curled up into a ball. He groaned loudly as he felt his entire body still having pain reverberate throughout his entire body. His breathing became harder.
"Christ... what... was that?!" Jack choked out.

Cyrus jumped out of his seat and flew over to Xhel. "You okay?" he asked as he picked her up a concerned look on his face.

Jesus... I never thought I'd regret still being partially human, he thought jokingly.
He slowly pushed himself up to his feet and staggered to the others.
"What... was that?!" Jack asked.

"oh i'm fine" she replied and wiped blood from the corner of her mouth.
"i just hope poor athena is ok" she said as she walked to drake.
"well, you get what you get. she said to drake as she looked at athena.
"we need to get her some food." she said. "she needs some life force right about now"
she turned to jack. "that....was what happens when you scare athena" she replied.
