Zelyhon Streamjumper Zero Omega Shoujo Phoenix Zero Omega hollywood_addict Why do cities like LA get the reputation for being high crime? Is a big city life with little room a negative influence any many people? What is it about the big touch city ethos, or is it more like self-fulfilling prophesy, where if one is told something enough times and there are not many other depictions, the individual becomes what people say they are? I think it has to do with the fact we've become to submissive to the wills of criminals and gangs that they can kind of run the city how they want. That and we just have such an access to things that can do harm and really don't do much about it. People who are poor (around poverty level or less) have a higher likelyhood of turning to crime. Though the US claims to be the land of opportunity, that's sometimes not that true. It's easier to turn to crime to make a quick buck. For some, that's the only way they see it. I mean, I don't think there are a lot of middle/upper class folks going out committing crimes here and there. In major cities such as LA, there is a dense population. More people means more resources are taken up and generally, not enough...especially for those suffering at the poverty level. If you have money, you don't need to worry about those things. If you're one of those poor people, there is no room to get resources or move to a nicer place. Also, not to mention the living costs of California and other big places such as New York or Florida. I think Fitzgerald explains it best in The Great Gatsby. The American Dream is, indeed, dead. Mala, Zeligor, and I shall be attempting to ressurect it in my mountaintop lab somewhere in Eastern Europe after Operation: Surfing in Nevada comes to fruition. Oh ********, but the second season ending for SR almost had me slitting my wrists at the end of this last episode. Its one of those kinda sad yet hopeful songs (if you wanna hear it, the title is Kono Namida ga Aru Kara Tsugi no Ippo to Naru and it seriously rocks.)... and one of the relationships kinda hit a bittersweet moment right before it began playing. Is that my new Gator Corp name? xd Already working on contracting the lab from one "Igor." Seems his last mad science team left without paying several month's rent and utilities, so he's just pretty eager to get some cash. Got all the good utilities with plenty of nearby peasants to use. Want me to keep looking for another lab? Superb... we'll take it. But keep looking for additional properties... I'm just evil enough to set up a few time-shares. twisted

hollywood_addict Streamjumper Mala, Zeligor, and I shall be attempting to ressurect it in my mountaintop lab somewhere in Eastern Europe after Operation: Surfing in Nevada comes to fruition. Resurrect what?? Wakarimasen (I don't get it)... What is SR? And please do not hurt yourself... it make me sad... Ressurect the American Dream... this time as a 100 foot-tall atomic monster. SR is School Rumble, the single funniest Japanese animated romantic comedy EVAR. The short story is that Tsukamoto Tenma, a 16 year old girl, is head over heels in love with Karasuma Oji, one of her classmates, but cannot confess her love. At the same time, semi-reformed delinquent, Harima Kenji, loves Tenma but also cannot quite express his feelings to her. This simple love triangle definition only applies about until episode 4 or so of the first series... from there it just gets more and more complicated as it turns out that nearly every character in the show is romanticly linked to at least two other characters... and it is reavealed that not a single goddamn member of Class 2-c could possibly pass for sane. Tea-club conspiracies, empty-pool hockey matches, curry vs nikujaga, and more onigiri than you can shake a stick at. One of the best things about this series is that by the end of the first season almost every member of class 2-C (the class most of our protagonists come from) are actually fleshed out enough that even if you forget their name, you remember who they are, what they're into, and who they're interested in. Where most shows really only tell you about two or three characters, this show really makes you feel for the entire cast. So deep is this development that there are roughly 35 factions on the major SR forums, each supporting a different relationship put forth in the series. Since Wannabe seems to be getting hit with another round of DOS attacks, here's Wikipedia's word on things. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/School_rumbleAnd my reference to committing suicide was a joke meant to express how sad the ending to episode 9 of the second series of School Rumble... which it really was, with someone realizing that their affection would never be returned because the target was after one of their friends and letting go of it was the best option... then the really bittersweet song began playing as the ending began.

hollywood_addict Skizzors hollywood_addict Skizzors *stares at backlog* Everyone is rich except meee.. gonk I am not rich in Gaia or real world money.. especially after paying for Japan I will be in debt.. but I'm sure richness is a good perception of making one feel better about the self, but only temporarily if one cannot share riches with someone to bring happiness, and/or if it's a lie it reflects one's insecurities (calling one's self rich when one isn't, and/or using money to buy love and not having it be genuine).. so richness may not be the best path.. ..but.. I want to buy stuff. Temporary happiness will not stay forever.. things that change are more exciting.. The more things I buy, the more my collection will change.. domokun

hollywood_addict Zero Omega Streamjumper Zero Omega Little Indigo Thought you RO-dorks would enjoy this as much as I did:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v63/LittleIndigo/nosp.png So win. xd A priest without SP? Noob! scream Er... as Brother Owain I had my first macro as "OOM, move along plz." stare Yeah, but you were special 'cause you could fisticuffs a Loli! ninja What is fisticuffs and Loli? In the online game Ragnarok Online, I ran a priest named Brother Owain who was built using an different set of stats and skills than most priests. When built right this made a priest who didn't really use his magic to heal and enhance the party or blow up undead with holy attacks. This priest had just enough spell points to cast a small handfull of enhancement spells on himself, heal himself sparingly, and just beat the crap out of undead and demons (as well as everything else, but especially the forces of darkness) with weapons. This type of priest is very rare, very difficult to play right, and very dangerous when equipped with the right set of middling to upper level gear. Lolis are the short name of a type of evil monster called Evil Loli, a little demon girl sitting on a floating crescent moon that can really do a job on many upper-level characters... I would go after multiple lolis without a weapon equipped just for fun, enchanting myself and tearing in with my bare hands while yelling things about "FISTICUFFS!!!!" and "YOUR KUNG-FU IS NO GOOD!" Owain was one seriously ******** up character... especially once it was settled upon that he wasn't a good priest fighting against evil due to his purity, but an extremely evil priest beating the s**t outta the forces of evil out of disdain for their incompetence and cuteness.
