Why do cities like LA get the reputation for being high crime? Is a big city life with little room a negative influence any many people? What is it about the big touch city ethos, or is it more like self-fulfilling prophesy, where if one is told something enough times and there are not many other depictions, the individual becomes what people say they are?

I think it has to do with the fact we've become to submissive to the wills of criminals and gangs that they can kind of run the city how they want. That and we just have such an access to things that can do harm and really don't do much about it.
People who are poor (around poverty level or less) have a higher likelyhood of turning to crime. Though the US claims to be the land of opportunity, that's sometimes not that true. It's easier to turn to crime to make a quick buck. For some, that's the only way they see it. I mean, I don't think there are a lot of middle/upper class folks going out committing crimes here and there. In major cities such as LA, there is a dense population. More people means more resources are taken up and generally, not enough...especially for those suffering at the poverty level. If you have money, you don't need to worry about those things. If you're one of those poor people, there is no room to get resources or move to a nicer place. Also, not to mention the living costs of California and other big places such as New York or Florida.

I think Fitzgerald explains it best in The Great Gatsby. The American Dream is, indeed, dead.

Mala, Zeligor, and I shall be attempting to ressurect it in my mountaintop lab somewhere in Eastern Europe after Operation: Surfing in Nevada comes to fruition.

Oh ********, but the second season ending for SR almost had me slitting my wrists at the end of this last episode. Its one of those kinda sad yet hopeful songs (if you wanna hear it, the title is Kono Namida ga Aru Kara Tsugi no Ippo to Naru and it seriously rocks.)... and one of the relationships kinda hit a bittersweet moment right before it began playing.

Resurrect what?? Wakarimasen (I don't get it)...
What is SR? And please do not hurt yourself... it make me sad...

Wow... Rasuki, me, and Hollywood_addict all have our b-days in a row! eek

Anata no tanjoobi wa nan nichi desu ka? what day is your b-day? I am on the 22nd..
June 20th. sad Maybe I'll break mentally on my b-day and go around wearing Goth Loli in an attempt to look younger. lol

Isn't it ironic that when you're little, you always want to be older, and then when we're older, we want to be younger, and some of us humans go into mid-life crisis? Why don't we accept the truth and worry about other things, that we can more strongly control?
..... shut up and help me lace up this corset! scream

More weird dreams. sweatdrop I listened to the remix I posted too much yesterday, so it ended up being an AG version of Street Fighter, except, not so much. It was just the same fight over and over. Zero versus Zely as Dan and Vega respectively.

Zely=Vega?

Weird image...

Not really...

Zely: I'm beautiful! *covered in everything he can wear on Gaia at once*

Case in point.
Plus, I've got the masks for it. XD

Man, wearing all that stuff would probably make for some awesome super moves. XD

Wowzors, thats pretty decent. I'm not sure how much playtime is logged on my rogue, I'm gonna guess around 36-40 hours.
